Tasty Noodles & Dumplings is located in a large section of a strip mall right next to Supercuts, La Milpa, Poki Run, and the Stratford School. The parking lot is HUGE, so no issues with finding a parking space. The interior is modern, yet simplistic in decor with several large matted pictures of their specialties. The color scheme is white, orange, and light colored wood tables. Booth & table options available. Two unisex restrooms. It's a DIY self-service restaurant - Order via two kiosks machines, pay, then they will bring you out your dish(es). The also have a condiment bar with freshly chopped cilantro, green onions, pickled spicy mustard greens, salted roasted peanuts, fresh fruit (oranges & cubed watermelon). Also, your utensils, and takeout containers. I ordered the... Beef Tripe In Chili Oil: Beef tripe with cilantro, sesame seeds, and chili oil (3/5). Simple, tasty, but tame. Cold Mixed Cucumber: Cucumber slices topped with sesame seeds (3/5). Smashed cucumbers that were refreshing & tossed with minced garlic. The presentation needs a little work. Braised Beef Noodle Soup (3/5) - tender chunks of beef. Nicely done. The noodles were medium sized which I liked as they had a spring and nice chew to them as I slumped away. I understand the chili oil in this dish, but it felt like there was additional oil added, which can seem off-putting to most customers. Overall, 3.5 stars. The prices are very affordable, especially in the Bay Area. I'll be back to try their dumplings and other dishes.

This place is a hit and miss for me. They provide satisfying servings yes flavor you can add more to it. They do have seasoning that you can add on the side. You just have to find it noodles one point but needs more flavor dumplings. I love the sandwich one do not try I'm clearly disappointed with this one the chicken wings I like it crispy with thin batter - go for the dumplings. which day they make my hand every day. You can do contactless ordering or go to the counter. You would have to get your number first before you start with a electronic kiosk because you would have to type in what number you would be. It has the ability to change language from English to Chinese. Appetizers are cheap and satisfying. I do love their freebies of fruit and those pickled mustard greens, which you can find by the sauce section and they also have free peanuts unless it runs out.

    Looking good here.

This new Tasty Noodles & Dumplings place took Koong's restaurant spot in Milpitas, CA. It's a very casual and affordable good eats place here. Not fancy inside. Huge Chinese food portions. Good value. Authentic in taste. If you're willing to wait, foods are delicious and if you dine-in, help yourself to the back bar countertop area for fresh fruits/pickled veggies/sauces/water/takeout containers & plastic bags/etc. Decent. Yes, all self service, but if you dine-in, they will carry foods to your table. They have two kiosks if you want to place your dine-in or takeout orders in advance. Grab a number and enter your table card number at kiosk. Best to just pre-order because with current 30% off all menu items promotion, it gets very busy inside. Credit cards accepted. I was very satisfied with my plentiful dishes. Everything was delicious and good in portions. Pork & shrimp dumplings yummy. Puffy and fresh. Combination fried noodles was generous/meats and veggies. My side dishes of pickled veggies were all good. With the 30% off, small items were around $2 each and larger plates around $9-$10 each. Not bad at all. Menu is decent for Chinese foods and soup noodles. I left $20 tips in cash for my $30 order. Although everything was self service, the employees were working very hard to fulfill orders and customers requests. The young guy who brought my order to my table was polite. The lady was efficient and hardworking with rushed orders and missed orders. There were many Chinese seniors dining inside too. It was like a Chinese zoo of chaos inside during grand opening season. I'm sure they will make more improvements here. Overall, I really enjoyed it and my $20 tips is definitely worth it for this good dumpling house. Tipping is not required. I just feel that this place deserves a bit more in such a busy environment.

I've been here multiple times since my last review when they didn't have anymore discounts. At their normal price, their prices are still cheap compared to other places. Not the biggest fan of their combo meals but love almost all of their dumpling/wonton and noodle dishes! I guess it makes sense since they're called Tasty Noodles and Dumplings. Place is clean every time I've visited so far. You can use their sauce bar for free which includes fruits and they don't require tips so don't expect service but they're nice people. I will continue to come!

Time to gatekeep this place no longer! This place has managed to charge pre-covid/inflation prices while offering super tasty Chinese comfort food. As others have mentioned, this is a no-tipping, self service restaurant. The only caveat is that service is a bit slow, since there is only one wait staff working the tables and register. Their highlight is in their name, noodles and dumplings. They are hand pulled fresh daily and that is a difference you can taste. The noodles are firm and the dumplings are juicy. Everything else is your standard fanfare. The combo meal choices are reminiscent of Panda Express, still great value.

Newly opened, currently 30% off each item on the menu. Replacing Koongs, Tasty is introducing a fairly innovative model. They have signs posted that it is a self service, no tipping type of restaurant. The menu is posted on the windows and when you enter, you order from a kiosk and take a number with you to find seats. There is a self serve sauce bar with fruits, utensils, napkins, and to go containers. Overall, I like the concept, but things are semi rocky. All the garnishes/toppings were basically low to empty during lunch time I was there. The fruits were still plentiful in the beginning but also bare by the end. The food is decent, hoping they can settle in and improve the food after.

Had dinner here and boy I was shocked by the prices. Super cheap! Like a bowl of beef noodle was $9. The mini combo was $6 something - includes a dish and carb and side dish. Also got the potsticker and egg rolls which were the best out of our order. The beef noodle soup was pretty oily and doesn't taste great with the oil down your throat. The green onion pancakes were not cooked thru and didn't taste good. There's also no tip. So overall it was definitely cheap eats but you get what you pay for. I would stick to the dumplings and potstickers. Skip on the noodles and mini combo (this seemed precooked and not fresh). If you're on a budget tho, it's not terrible!

This was my first time visiting this newly opened noodle shop, and the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Even though their English is not yet very fluent in the United States, they still made a sincere effort to warmly serve every customer. All of the food is handmade, including the noodles, boiled dumplings, and pan-fried dumplings. During the grand opening, the wide noodle beef noodle soup was only $2. Although the broth was a little spicy and oily, the flavor was still very good, and the beef was tender and flavorful. The dumpling wrappers were slightly overcooked and a bit soft, but the overall taste was still excellent. The wonton soup was also generous in portion and filled with ingredients. This is a noodle shop with great value for the price, and I highly recommend it to everyone. Last time I tried the beef chunks, and today I went with the beef shank, which is sliced beef. It was still very tasty. The broth is lighter and less greasy than the braised version, which I really liked. The napa cabbage was also very tender, unlike some beef noodle soups where it can be quite tough. This time the noodles were thin, handmade noodles, and they were just as good. The only downside is that since they just opened, the service flow does not feel fully established yet, and the food came out a bit slowly. That said, the staff were very polite and had a great attitude.

    - The shrimp fried noodles were so delicious with a great texture - The pork feet were tender and cooked just right - Overall, it's a good lunch/dinner place for delicious Chinese food, large portions, and affordable prices

This place is a truly no-frills establishment. You order at a kiosk, take a number, and then sit down and they serve you. For their grand opening there's a discount, but portions are big and food is tasty. Not the highest of classes but a nice, quick place, although people need to learn how to use technology as there can be a holdup with only 2 kiosks.

I was sad to see Koong's close but there's a new fast casual Chinese restaurant that opened in the same spot. Order is by kiosk, very on trend with modern Chinese restaurants now. Basic dining hall tables and chairs. There is a self serve sauces and condiment counter. Water is also self serve. I ordered for dine in and the table and chairs were clean looking. Spicy chili oil wontons are good, I would order this again. Pan fried pork and cabbage dumplings were bland and really needed sauces. Salt and pepper chicken and shrimp were both good, nice side dishes to have. The braised pork feet noodle soup was delicious. The noodles were chewy and the braised pork feet had nice amount of cartilage and fatty meat. The combo meal was a hit and miss. The fried rice option was dry along with the orange chicken. But the cucumber salad was refreshing. I will come back to try the other noodle dishes and definitely get the salt and pepper items again.

Great restaurant just opened 3 weeks ago. Currently all food discounted at 30% off, such a great deal! Great price with large portions, you order on screen monitors, take a number placard and enter this. Restaurant is very clean with attentive service, also comes with self serve condiments, water, and fruits. Great place that won't break your bank, highly recommended!! Lots of people walking by to check out the menu posted at front. Close to freeway.

Coming in with a party of 2 around 7 pm on a a Saturday evening, there was no wait as there were plenty of tables available. The menu is accessed via QR code, and you place your order through the phone. Food came out reasonably quickly and hot. My husband got the pork belly rice plate, which was very large and filling. If you eat smaller meals then two might be able to share. I tried it as well and thought our cuts were mostly fat, but they were flavored well. I ordered the Shezuan (mala) potato noodle soup. Turns out potato noodles are really soft with basically no bite or chew, so they weren't as fun to eat as expected. Flavor and portion size were still good. The mala / numbing spice is particularly strong here, so if you like it, you'll have a good time. While everything was satisfactory and tasted good, I don't think I'd seek this place out as it wasn't as memorable. Decent if you're already in the area though.

Other than that, the rice noodles are thin and silky and hold the sauce nicely. The sauce is also delicious. We also ordered the fish congee which was simple but comforting.
