Quaint little spot, HUGE in flavor. We enjoyed our dishes. Customer service was prompt and friendly. Thank you Hanok

For a Korean restaurant, I was a bit disappointed they did not include side dishes with the meal. Perhaps this is something I am used to getting from other classic Korean restaurants, but as I heard this place was authentically Korean maybe my expectations were too high. The soondubu was watery and did not come with an egg, and only had tofu and pork. I was a bit underwhelmed with the taste. My friends got their other soups (tang) and it looked better but I'm not sure if they were super amazed by it. I got a pork bulgolgi to-go for the next day and I liked how the portions were pretty generous for their meat plates as they came with a side salad, miso soup, and rice. The space is very intimate and quiet, suitable for smaller parties of people. I think it's a good place to visit if you're hungry for Korean food in the neighborhood but overall it was not somewhere that will make me go out of my way to that area of Seattle.

Really liked the ghimmari and tteokbokki! They were even able to do the tteokbokki vegetarian for me! Lots of veggie options on the menu too. The bibimbap was good and my partner liked his bulgogi, but felt the sauce could have been a little more flavorful and mixed. The service was a bit slow but I think it was just one person for all the tables so we didn't mind at all. It's a small and cute little spot in the Madison Park area with indoor and outdoor seating. We would definitely recommend it!

Hanok is an okay Korean spot. The dishes are more individual rather than shareable however the food is good. There's no banchan that accompanies food however staff are really nice. In the summer it can be a little hot as there's no fans or air circulation. Overall, an okay spot but not sure if I'd be back.

Tried this place for the first time to attend a friend's birthday dinner, and it was fantastic! The place is cozy. Definitely make a reservation if you're eating in. Han (one of the owners) served the entire restaurant, including our group of 9, with ease. His wife, Jade, is in the kitchen slinging out amazing dishes! We tried nearly every appetizer as a group and my favorites were the spicy rice cakes (perfect amount of spice and sweet), the cheese corn, and Korean pancakes. Also tried the beef bulgogi (comes with rice, salad, and soup at a very reasonable price). Excellent japchae!! I ordered several glasses of wine and Han was kind enough to make sure I wasn't driving (I wasn't). I returned home safe and pleasantly stuffed! I would highly recommended checking this place out when you're in the mood for Korean food. Great service and food, very reasonable prices, and we felt right at home.

Such a cozy, charming Korean spot in Seattle! We came here as a party of 4 on a Friday night and were seated pretty quickly. I ordered the galbitang which was super good. The broth was rich and the beef really tender and cooked perfectly. Portion sizes were generous and we were stuffed after our meal. We also ordered a few appetizers which were also delicious (especially loved the Fried Ghimmari!). Everything from the food to the plating was impeccable and the staff was incredibly kind. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Great service, great food! Will be coming back for sure! I also echo others, and recommend booking a reservation in advance.

Really cozy spot near Madison Beach Park! Service was amazing, really appreciated our server's recommendations. Size of portions was also great, although was slightly hoping they might serve some banchan. But if anything, it just allowed us to order more apps!

Hanok is very busy and they're trying their best on busy weekends! I wouldn't mind going back, but it's not high on my list: - no banchan - pork belly is thin and doesn't haven't enough flavor on its own - pork katsu is good though!

Absolutely amazing Korean spot. Simple no frills. Tiny shop so make a reservation if you want to dine in. Seems like a lot of folks in the neighborhood do take out here (but then you lose out on the stone bowl as part of your meal!!) The food is absolutely amazing - very classic no frills Korean food. Great prices. If we were closer we'd be getting takeout from here all the time! On a weekend night, they seem to run out of certain things towards closing - so you know you're getting fresh food!

Nice little place to grab a quick bite if you are hankering for some Korean foods in the Madison Park neighborhood. Soon doo boo: I usually get mine spicy with Kim chi. It's a solid SDB. Sort of wish it was a bit more molten hot lava hot and bubbling but it'll do the job and is tasty. I usually get the purple rice as my carb to go with it. Assorted pajeon. I am a sucker for tiny appetizer sized savory pancakes since they come out with nice and crisp on the edges and are perfect snack sized! Fries ghimmari: fried glass noodles wrapped in seaweed. One of my favorite appetizers that is not commonly found on restaurant menus. Sort of like jap chae in as a fried finger food!

    Excellent bibimbap!!

Great food! I don't know what it is with Seattle and Korean food but everything we have had here is incredible. The Bulgogi was very flavorful... and the service was great! Check this place out.

We started with a dozen of the shucked oysters, which were perfectly prepared and not overly briny. From there we tried the Bò Lá Lốt and is instantly my new go-to dish whenever I come back. I'd never had it before and now I'm already craving it again. For mains, we ordered the Lemongrass Clay Pot Chicken and the Drunken Chicken. The Lemongrass Chicken had incredible flavor, especially the broth, which was so good it's worth taking home if you don't finish it. The only downside was navigating all the bones. The Drunken Chicken ended up being my favorite main dish. It reminded me of sweet-and-sour chicken, but without the overwhelming sweetness that usually takes over the dish. A quick heads up: definitely make a reservation if you can because this place gets BUSY. We lucked out and snagged the last four seats at the bar. Even with the crowd, the service was friendly, attentive, and the food came out surprisingly fast. I ordered the catfish claypot, which came highly recommended, and it truly delivered. The flavor was rich, savory, and comforting with a beautiful presentation. My one note: order a small side of jasmine rice. The dish does not come with it, and while the claypot stands strong on its own, the sauce deserves something to soak it up. You will want every last bite. The location is charming, tucked into a quaint neighborhood across from a cozy coffee shop and bookstore. The restaurant itself is spacious with a well stocked bar. One side feels ideal for families and larger groups, while the other side leans more date night or casual drinks. It strikes a nice balance. Pricing runs on the higher side, especially since entrees do not include rice or sides and portions are not particularly large. It is something to keep in mind when ordering. Service was decent and attentive, though I would have appreciated stronger menu knowledge. Simple questions like whether a dish is gluten free or whether it includes rice or vegetables should be easy to answer. A bit more confidence and familiarity would elevate the experience. I also would have appreciated seeing Vietnamese representation at the front of house, given the cuisine. Would I return? Yes. The food is good and the space is inviting. I am just not in a huge rush, as the overall experience did not fully match the quality of the dish itself.

I ordered the lemongrass limeade soda, the Lao burger, and mango sticky rice. The soda was super refreshing, and wasn't too sweet. The Lao burger was super yummy and juicy. I liked the sauce and veggies, but I wish they had added more. The patties were also a tad too salty in some spots. I also tried the Lao sausage entree which comes with rice and sides of veggies. The sausage and sauce were really flavorful, but the veggies didn't really pair well with it. The menu also says you get a choice of rice and sauce, but the server never asked what we wanted.
