    Creme brulee

We went to Hanuman in Orange to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday with some great Thai food. They offer great specialty dishes that go beyond the standard Thai menu. The panang curry was rich and creamy, served with a good portion of steak over rice. The Khao Soi came with chicken in a delicious broth. We also ordered the Pad See Ew with shrimp, which had a great flavor as well. To finish the birthday dinner, they brought out a tasty creme brulee and played a fun song! This is easily some of the best Thai food in the area with delicious flavors and a great staff. Definitely try to get a reservation!

High hopes for this spot with all of the social media coverage, but the food presentation outdid the taste here. I found that the pad thai and wings weren't too seasoned. The khao soi was as expected. The dishes are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I've had better in terms of taste. Staff here was great.

We ordered takeout from here, and their service just over the phone was so friendly! Pad Thai was alright, drunken noodles were good, but I really enjoyed the khao sawan dessert. Pad Thai was a little too dry and Smokey than I usually like, and I wish that you could choose or customize the protein choice. We also ordered the mango coco mocktail to go which was delicious! I think it's worth trying this place if you're in the area!

I've only ordered take-out from the Newport Beach location and always liked the food there. So I'm happy they opened this location that's closer to me so I finally got to dine in. I got the Drunken Noodles and it was delicious. The dish was juicy, not overly spicy (I ordered mild and it came out perfectly mild), a little sweet all around but bold and flavorful. My BF's Kheak Salad was also interesting, and he loved it. I took a few bites just to see and I had to agree. Never had a salad made this way, especially with the curry, peanut-y dressing. I love that there's a hook underneath the bar table for me to hang my purse. That's so thoughtful of the restaurant to provide. The space is new, cute, modern and clean. I do wish their AC was on higher because I was getting kinda warm. But overall I had a great experience here and will definitely come back.

I've been dying to try Hanuman for years. For years their only location was the Costa Mesa one and the wait was so long. I was blown away by the flavor and quality of the food here. The curry is a perfect mix of sweet salty and spicy. I would also recommend getting your steak rare! The hanger steak is $22 which I believe is pretty good bang for your buck. The decor inside is very pretty but I was seated outside which I would not recommend. The lighting outsude is kind of dark and service is slower since you are outside. Also would pass on the Thai tea you could get better. But overall I will definitely be back!

Saw all the good reviews and decided to come here for an early dinner. Parking is easy but this place gets a lot of customers. So be prepared to wait a bit, as there aren't that many seatings inside either. Service was good. Waitresses were attentive Food quality was excellent. Ordered the boat noodle, chicken satay, and sweet and sour salmon. Rich flavorful boat noodle was very comforting to eat. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Chicken satay was very tender and the sauce had a lot of depth. Overall would definitely recommend this place for Thai cravings

We had dinner here on a Saturday night, and the wait was about 20 minutes. We were sat at a table outside, but there was plenty of shade provided by the umbrellas. The servers were attentive and friendly. We ordered a khao soi and a massamen curry. Both were very delicious with rich and robust broths that left us feeling very satisfied. Would definitely come here again.

Food is amazing Drinks are good (though I only have one that I drink) Hostess is nice!! Restaurant itself is open and airy. Plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Wow I'm so happy Hanuman is now in Orange! They've remodeled the whole building so nicely and surprisingly fit several tables. It's a bit of a tight squeeze but everything else makes it worth it. Service was top notch, friendly and knowledgeable. Suggested great items like the crispy wings, which was my favorite dish and the mago dessert. They told us this is a seasonal item, the mango is only up to their standard of quality 3 months out of the year. The ceviche was a wonderful surprise along with the rice puffs. Last, the Khao Soi got better as it sat there, so many layers of flavors and the crispy noodles were a great add on. There was a wait but it went by faster than suggested. They turn over tables very quickly but I wouldn't bring a very big party here unless outside seating is optional. I can't wait to come back and try additional items.

Food here was delicious and very large portions (family style portion), we got the pad see ew with tofu, green curry with steak and gai todd hat yai (fried chicken) and papaya salad. Everything tasted such high quality and well prepared. Put your name on the yelp waitlist as soon as you can. Came with a group of 3 on a Thursday night and waited about 40 min for a table.

I've been here a couple of times now and decided to try a few new dishes on this visit. Overall, it was another good meal, but a few items were definitely better than others. The papaya salad was probably my least favorite. I'd skip it next time. It was much sweeter than I expected, and the tamarind flavor was really overpowering. I was hoping for something more tangy, acidic, and spicy, but it just didn't hit the mark for me. The chicken wings (Gai Todd Hat Yai) with sticky rice was easily one of the highlights of the meal. I can see why they're so popular. The wings were perfectly crispy on the outside while still juicy inside, and they paired really well with the sticky rice. The drunken noodles are still my go-to here. I've ordered them every time I've visited, and they're consistently delicious. Great wok flavor, plenty of spice, and definitely one of the better drunken noodles I've had. I also tried the pad see ew for the first time. The wok char and overall flavor were really good, but it leaned a little too sweet for my taste. Unfortunately, one piece of the pork was also undercooked and still pink, which was disappointing. I had high hopes for the Massaman curry with hangar steak, but it ended up being another letdown. The steak itself was okay, but the curry sauce wasn't what I expected. It had a different flavor than most Massaman curries I've had, and not in a way that really worked for me. We came for an early dinner, so there wasn't a wait this time, which was nice. Just a heads up though--it usually gets packed after 6 p.m. The service was friendly overall, but the staff seemed a little too eager to clear our plates while we were still eating, which made us feel a bit rushed.

We ordered the food and drink at the same time. The food came out quick, but i noticed the bartender made drinks when more tables got drinks. So multiple tables got drinks at the same time. I see why the fried chicken is popular because it is perfectly crispy with perfect coating. The pad see ew is perfectly sauced along with the fried rice.

Ask the Community - Hanuman Thai Eatery

Do they have seating for 12 adults?

It's a very small space so I would advise calling in advance.

Can you make your curries vegan?

Unfortunately, we cannot make it Vegan. We use the fish sauce in our curry.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes, they are. We will open on Feb 20.

The restaurant only had 3 tables, 1 is a 2 top and the other 2 are pushed together to make 4 tops. When you enter you place your order with the cashier. Note on the menu their dishes do not include proteins, you have to add those as extra with an extra cost. We ordered the curry puffs since we read about them in the reviews. I ordered pad see ewe with broccoli on the side to give to my hubby. They use American broccoli here and not Chinese broccoli. Hubby ordered Pad Thai. We also wanted mango sticky rice but they were sold out for the day. We both ordered cups of water which were served in small plastic cups. Asked for lemon slices and received lime slices. The Sriracha and Soy sauce arrived in small packets and they brought us metal plates and silverware. Food came out in a decent amount of time. It's made to order so you do need to wait some. The restaurant was clean and not too noisy. The curry puff was a bit dry inside and not juicy at all. The crust was flaky and crispy and we enjoyed that. We came here at night so maybe if it was earlier in the day it would have tasted better? My Pad Se Ewe tasted good and I appreciated they were able to do the broccoli separately. My hubby liked his Pad Thai as well. The portion sizes were ok and we both finished our plates. If you plan on coming here during lunch or dinner time I imagine you will need to order it to go as it's so small inside. When we got there the first table was full, we took the middle tables and another party of 4 came in and took the last table. If we are in the area and it's not busy we will definitely return. However, if it's busy we will go elsewhere as we would not be able to sit and enjoy our meal there due to lack of seating.

I thought they could've given a little more white rice but it does come with two egg rolls and a salad. All for $13.50! The crab fried was perfectly seasoned with a hint of sweetness. The rice wasn't mushy or anything. Just perfectly done. I thought the quality of the crab could be better, it was shredded in texture and tasted watered down.
