Came here for a party and the place was adorable decorated for the holidays and winter time! The server was very nice and was great at keeping all our orders correctly. I had a great time here, there were large games, like connect 4, and a great playlist going on. The food was also very good, their veggie pizza was surprisingly delicious, especially since I don't usually like veggie pizzas. The only downfall was that there was a leak next to us because it was down pouring. Overall I would return. I had a great time here. read more

Late snack last night. Ordered mozzarella bread stick and pulled pork nachos. I thought I had ordered regular mozzarella sticks when I saw they brought out the breadsticks but guess I didn't read it correctly but it was actually really good. Some friends and I were craving pizza and ended up coming to Happy Camper on a Saturday night. The place was packed, but tables were fortunately spread apart. Also, they do temperature checks and sanitize beforehand. Our waiter, Jacob, was INCREDIBLE. Major shoutout to him! I don't drink alcohol, but he was still able to ask the bartender to whip up some tropical virgin drinks. He also gave me a virgin "shot", which was basically just guava juice lol. AND he also gave us dessert on the house! Like what! So nice. :) Food ratings: 1. Elote dip - 8/10. Super creamy and hot. Good appetizer! 2. French fries - 10/10. I don't know what's in their thousand island dressing that comes with the french fries, but the combo is freaking amazing. 3. Gaurav pizza - 10/10. I'm not a goat cheese fan, so I didn't eat this pizza, but my friends said it was to DIE FOR. 4. Linda pizza - 9/10. Yummy veggie pizza. Ask for extra thousand island dressing on the side as a dip. Soooo good!! Interior is super pretty and there's tons of lights throughout the place. Also side note...women's bathroom is so pretty lol. Overall, if you're paranoid about COVID, I'd probably avoid this restaurant because Wrigley is PACKED. Worst experience ever! I asked for a Long Island and asked if they use the mix or if they make it, the bartender said she made it then somehow lost the card for the prior patrons and came back looking for the card with the flashlight of the phone 20 minutes later still no drink so I moved over to the next bartender and asked for a drink. The previous bartender was making negative faces and he refused to serve me when the "manager" came and asked me to leave. I had just gotten here and was shown horrible service and still asked to leave?! Seriously I was in the twilight zone. Maybe it's cuz I'm a Latina woman idk I asked for a water and was denied. Really not even served water. This is a first for me but happy camper IS NOT LATINA friendly. They will call the cops ASAP if u ask for water. I do love the layout and vibe of this bar. It has a rooftop that truly feels like a picnic with decent views of Wrigley. There's plenty of seating and a number of bars, however, the lines here still get crazy long on Friday to Sunday nights. If you try coming here on a Cubs home game day, good luck. Servers are friendly but in general this place just feels understaffed. In addition, a 12-oz (maybe smaller) Bud Light is around $7 a piece. The patrons here tend to be younger, more obnoxious adults who don't have common courtesy. I wanted to love this bar, but I probably won't come back here very often. read more

Now this is more like it. This place was much needed here in Wrigley. Dining here is a little experience whether you eat inside, outside or on the swinging benches! The music is good, pretty good ambiance. Doesn't feel tacky at annoying like a lot of bars/restaurants around here. Food is pretty basic, but it's good!!!! The pizza is great, the crust is great and the toppings (of our order at least) were pretty good! Food here doesn't feel like it's warmed up food from restaurant depot or anything like that. The service is ok. We moved tables because the bench was a little uncomfortable, seemed to have annoyed the waiter outside and the new waitress. Did notice on my receipt they charged me for an additional 2 beers - charged for 6, we only consumed 4.... but I guess that's all on me for not noticing right away! Definitely recommend this place. Hoping for a little better service next time and maybe I just need to check my receipts before paying! read more

Great atmosphere and really cool interior! Not the best brunch place. The breakfast bowl did not have a lot of flavor, not even salt. The iced coffee was pretty strong and didn't have a great coffee flavor. Waiter was pretty good not the most attentive. read more

We came in at 9:45 since we saw the place closed at 12am but once we arrived we were told they were closing early and the kitchen closed at 10:15. We wanted a table but had to go to the bar to be served faster. Definitely felt rushed to get our food and get out of there. One of my best friends recommended this restaurant for my bachelor party. Solid recommendation. The wait was long (almost an hour); however, there is a large bar to hang out and wait at and they will serve you there so it's not a huge issue. Once seated, the service was pretty quick and the apps and pizza was wonderful. We had the guacamole and the wings as appetizers. I tried the Caesar salad and it was once of the best I've had. Okay, so I just came back to this page and deleted a SCATHING (and rather bitchy) review that I left earlier today; after I had some less-than-great service last night. Happy Camper immediately responded and are going to make it right. They really do care about their customer's experience and I look forward to dining and celebrating special occasions with them in the future. The food and drinks here are always great, and they do have an option that you can pay and order from your table even when a server isn't present, which is pretty cool. Had an terrible experience before I even step foot in the door. This place needs to hire new "doormen" or retrain them on how to look at IDs. I have a VAILID Illinois ID, haven't had any issues in the past 4 years in Chicago. I was denied at entry due to "inconsistencies". Never happened before, but most doormen/women at other places must have a higher IQ than this one. Do not recommend this place anymore. read more

Gave it 1 less star just because the bouncer was extremely rude and made unnecessary comments. I attempted to walk in to the establishment and the bouncer didn't make eye contact or anything so I assumed to keep walking in.. until he rudely said "you're just going to walk right past me?" If I can leave 0 stars I would ! I never felt more mistreated in my life until I came to Happy Campers with my sisters to celebrate my graduation. My sister made a reservation for 5 and when we arrived they said the only had a table for 4. The waitress went to got me a chair ( I didn't ask for one we was gone make it work.) As I'm sitting down in the chair for about 30 mins & eating another waitress approached me and said "I'm going to need this chair" I said how you going to take something that was given to me when it's more chairs downstairs. She said because another party just walked in and the need it. I felt like Rosa Parks. She went and got the manger Emmy and Ju and they kicked our party out because I refused to move!!! read more

Meh perfectly describes a typical Wrigleyville bar scene appealing to the dumbed down Cub masses. The atmosphere is fine, basically going after the instagram crowd with a couple of cool spots, but overall nothing crazy. Weak alcohol selection as it really focuses on easy to find beers and simple cocktails. Decent drink curb appeal as thought was put into glassware. The pizza was ok, but anything I would have again. Don't think this will do well outside of Cubs games. read more
