Food/drinks: biased review cause hot pot is my favorite food, so I'm already happy before I've tried it lol Solid selection of veggies, seafood, etc in their self serve bar! I also like the other treats like white fungus papaya soup and breads Liked the original broth and tomato broth was just okay Would definitely come back again Wouldn't get pork, strange flavor Atmosphere: cute! Very clean and lots of seating, got lucky with a table because I came on weekday! But normally, I heard the wait is long Service: quick! Price: very very affordable!! AYCE!

Such a lovely bustling environment! It was quite full on a Saturday night but we still only had to wait less than 10 min as a party of 2. You can add yourself to the Yelp waitlist kiosk check in right by the front, and there's space to wait inside while you wait for a text. Once they call your name/text they ask you which AYCE you like, and then seat you and you can pick your soup base(s), and protein. Everything else is self serve! Including all the veggies and other proteins, and sauces and drinks and hot apps. The dumplings are VERY good, very crispy. They give you a bib upon request which I really needed - amateur move of mine of wearing all white to hot pot. They also re-up you on protein very quickly. My only sadness is that they don't have enoki mushroom or fish roe fishball, and that would truly be the only deterrent I have for coming back. Super reasonably priced at $28 for AYCE!

The way people eating here blowing nose at table

The soup broth has no taste. The service is okay nothing wonderful. The place is filthy with people blowing their nose at table. And talking the scandal off showing there dirty feet. Don't waste you time or money coming here

One of my favorite hotpot spots in Flushing @happylambhotpot truly hits the spot every time! They serve an 8-hour slow-cooked bone marrow broth that's rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. It's all-you-can-eat hotpot with a premium selection of lamb, Wagyu, seafood, and more -- all freshly sliced in-house. With over 100 locations in 11 countries, Happylamb is a global favorite, and the Flushing location is a gem. They even sell their take-home soup kits on Amazon so you can recreate the experience at home! Unbeatable price, huge variety, and top-notch quality -- easily the best AYCE hotpot in Flushing. You'll love it here as much as I do!

This was my first time trying happy lamb at this location. This location is much bigger than the one in Chinatown. They have more buffet options for you to choose from. I enjoyed the lo mein noodles, the fried rice and the chicken wings. They also had fresh white rice that was excellent to pair with our hot pot meats. Along with edamame, a multitude of sauces and soy sauce. This location was all you can eat for real. The broth was consistent in taste it was good. They have so many drink options and dessert options. I can't wait to go back. My favorite was the lo mein noodles. That was my first time ever trying them. They were delicious! At this location, the service was much better. The employees were way more nicer and accommodating to your needs. The cleanliness of this location was up to par. I absolutely will be back for more!

I enjoyed this hot pot so much.It will be my new AYCE hot pot place with the prices being decent the meat quality being great and the selection of AYCE ingredients is so broad.Wish they had lotus root. You have to select the meat first band you only get one time to but that wasn't a big deal for me as the service was good and the restaurant felt so calming.would come back here again!!

It's worth the price if you love meat and seafood! The wait is not too bad at all even they are busy

Come hungry and come early. For peak days and hours expect to wait. Once you enter be sure to put your name on the waitlist. Everyone must be present to be seated. Happy Lamb has a good selection of hot pot favorites. From your classic fish balls, vegetables, thin sliced meats, and the interesting offal (various organs) selections. They also had good hot bar appetizers such as fried dumplings, fries, various fried pancakes, and more. They also have hot desserts like steam buns with sweet fillings, dessert soups, and fried buns with condensed milk. The cold desserts are typically slices of cake and fruits. The sauce bar has a comprehensive selection for your mixing needs. Happy Lamb doesn't have the same choices everyday. They rotate out certain vegetables and meats. Some days they might enoki mushrooms and some times they won't. It's a lively place, people will be getting up to get refills on food and drinks. It can get quite messy at the drink section. Overall it's a tasty option that doesn't break the bank. No frills type of vibe. Go to your table order your broth (pro tip: order the best of both worlds broth and choose whichever two broths you want, you do not have to get its default choices) and then go get your ingredients. Certain tables also have seats where you can put your jackets in (that hot pot smell is powerful). Come hungry and gobble it all up.

This review is for weekend dinner. Overall this is a solid option for hot pot. I came here on a whim because the spot I originally wanted to go to had a 3+ hour wait. I walked in with a party of 6 around 6:20pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately. However by 8pm there was quite a long line of people waiting for tables. I'd recommend getting here before 7pm to avoid a wait. This is AYCE. You can pay extra to order from the "VIP menu" - I recommend because you get wagyu, fish ball roe, among other things. You get the table for 90 tables and it actually is plenty of time. Aside from the VIP menu, all other toppings are self serve. They have a good selection of veggies, meatballs, noodles and they have a sauce bar. Soup bowls are for the table, not individual, but you can split and do half and half. Meal comes with soft serve ice cream.

Amazed by this place! I knew of this hotpot place as it's been opened for a while now but did not try till now since there's so many hotpot places in downtown flushing. They have diff sets of AYCE, from $21.99 weekdays for vegetables, sidebar and drinks, to $25.99 weekdays to include meat. These are their discounted promotion prices, which is a great price already. There's an additional promotion of $20.99 for those ages 55+ (bring your id). They had a variety of meat selection, but was blown away by how much variety the side bar/vegetables had. They had a range of fishballs (beef ones always the best!), tripe, tofu, fish, noodles, mushrooms, a good amount of varied greens, some fried food, and a little desserts. We went in on a weekday at 12:45pm and were seated quickly. Service was also quick as you only order meats and alcoholic drinks through them. It seemed like everyone spoke mandarin, but unsure since I didn't try English there at the time. Place is also very clean and new considering it's been opened for a while now. It's super spacious with numerous tables of ~4ppl a table. Note that you can set the level of heat of the hotpot at the side of the table towards the hall. All the vegetables and meat cuts were great except what I'm assuming to be beef. I know there are fatty beef but this one was like 80-90% fat, in which the English menu doesn't list it to be fatty beef as well. Their desserts also seem to be lacking. The coffee sponge cake is pretty safe if you do want something sweet tho. But overall, everything else was amazing in my opinion!!

This is the best affordable ayce hotpot. I recommend the house special ayce. Beyond that, it's not really worth it for the price. Value ayce is best for the vegetarians since there is plenty of veggies in the buffet/cold bar. I have gotten all three tiers.

Do they still offer glass noodles?

There are few different types of noodle in the buffet area. I think there is glass noodles.

Do they serve for one person or someone eating alone? Has anyone went there to eat alone before?

I am sure they can give you one type of broth only if you'll be eating alone. I was thinking one day of going by myself as well.

    Is it street parking only?

Yes. There is a large unassociated parking lot across the street, but you need to pay

Do they have a vegetarian broth?

    Yeah.

Does the restaurant do any birthday special or promo?

    no they do not

Has any one went there this year? And is the ayce still available?

    Yes

Are they still doing the AYCE special?

They have all AYCE hot pot Mon - Thurs. They also acept their Groupon for the AYCE!

How it is compared to the one in Manhattan?

    Do they have lunch specials?

Yes they do. Currently 13.95 for meat and veggies and noddles and soup!

    Are there vegetarian options?

Yes! You can get menu options without meat. They have plenty of vegetables to go around!

Is this a byob hot pot?

    No. I don't think so

    When is the AYCE offered?

They are currently offering all you can meat for 16.95 from Tue to Fri after 5pm. The type of meat is very limited (fatty beef, sliced chicken breast, sliced lamb shoulder, sliced fish, pork korobuta). I think this kind of specials run starting from… Read more

Does anyone know if this place is open/ when are they opening back up or is it Permanently closed?

Apparently under renovation. Had to check the main website to make sure since since it's been way longer than anticipated. It just sucks because they aren't being transparent. The Bowery location can't compare :/

Is it all you can eat in the winter also or just a summer thing?

Its not all you can eat. And its open year round.

I normally…read moredon't like places with many prices, but since our daughter chose it so we enjoy with her. The prices on the windows are very confusing and more like false advertising for me, the lower prices are for the members which we're not since this is our first time and definitely our last, unless our daughter wants to come here again. So the price is the more expensive one. For me, I prefer straight forward pricing, so this didn't give me good vibes, it's not the money, just the way they advertising and we have to know what we can only have with the price we chose. The restaurant just gives us the specific menu for what we selected to have then we don't have to be denied for what we chose because we selected gold instead of top of the line menu. The place is clean and nice. For $78/per person and only have Australian Wagyu Beef (not really Wagyu) then it's over priced. We did have some premium beef which I liked because of the marble of fat on the beef quite tender and tasty, but only a sampler or whatever they called it. Service with one person is quite inadequate but she's very attentive and pleasant, since she had to run the whole restaurant, sometimes forgets things. The tomato broth was good and everyone liked it. The seafood plate is OK and our sweet shrimps are sweet. Some snow crab legs, jumbo shrimps, fish fillets, nothing to make me go wow. The appetizers tempura is crispy and good. The raw octopus is tasty. The vegetables are fresh and clean. After they denied me the premium beef sampler, I let my daughter to order everything else and I just enjoyed with the family. My daughter seemed to be happy and ate a lot, so I was happy. I've eaten enough shabu, hot pot to know that Australian or American Wagyu are overrated, many of them are tough and chewy, not as tender as normal ribeyes or Brisket that I like. This restaurant Wagyu beef does have marbles of fat in it, so it's tender and not so chewy. So, for the GOLD menu, I don't think it's worth the $78 but for special occasions, it's OK. I just don't like the confusion of many menu, many prices, and not getting my own menu and get denied for something on the menu because I didn't pay enough.

The restaurant was much larger than it first appeared, and the atmosphere added just as much to the experience as the food itself. The room had a lively, bustling energy with tables spread across multiple sections, and the steady flow of diners reflected its popularity as a destination for a full hot pot meal. The hot pot menu offered a wide variety of broths, meats, seafood, vegetables, and handmade specialties. We appreciated that there were options for both spice lovers and those who prefer something milder, with the signature Chongqing broth delivering the classic numbing mala flavor while the tomato and mushroom broths provided a lighter alternative. The ingredients tasted fresh, and there were plenty of premium cuts of beef, seafood, and specialty items to choose from. The self-serve sauce bar was another highlight, letting us customize our dipping sauce exactly how we liked it, with a wide range of condiments and toppings that allowed for endless combinations. The restaurant gets very busy, especially during dinner and weekends, so planning ahead is important. Reservations are highly recommended because walk-in waits can easily stretch over an hour. Even with the large dining room, the staff did a good job keeping everything organized and regularly checked in throughout the meal. Despite how crowded it could get, service remained attentive and food arrived at a steady pace. The team moved through the room with efficiency, keeping the broth refilled and the table cleared without making the experience feel rushed. Overall, Chongqing Lao Zao delivers much more than a typical hot pot meal. The combination of high-quality ingredients, customizable broths, and one of the most impressive themed dining spaces we have experienced makes it a place we would gladly return to. If you are looking for authentic Chongqing-style hot pot in Flushing, this is one of the strongest options available.

We were seated towards the back of the restaurant where we found a cockroach crawling on the bench seat. Also, the straw decoration on the bench seat was uncomfortable throughout the meal for me particularly. Our waiter, since it was our first time, helped us a lot in choosing the broth and its spice level (we ended up getting tomato and mild chongqing), as well as helping us with the amount of food we would be ordering (which turned out to be almost the perfect amount of food for our party of 6). Some of my favorite dishes that we got were the: - Wide Potato Noodles - Doesn't take that long to cook, SO chewy and nice, pairs well with any broth or sauce - Enoki Mushrooms - My favorite kind of mushroom, even more chew and great noodle substitute - Fried Breadsticks - Very crunchy and don't lose that much crunch whenever dipped or soaked in the broths. - Sliced Beef - Standard and really good meat option for hotpot. Some of their specialty beefs are also interesting, but I ended up just preferring this over those. - Beef Tendon - I lied. This was the best meat option. Extremely soft and melts in your mouth. Doesn't take more than 5 seconds to cook. Just so good. Even with everything that I liked, I didn't find that much that was superior to other hot pot places that I have been to. I did enjoy the food that we did have, but with the insane wait that I would likely have if I came back as well as the high price of the meal, I don't know if this would be worth coming back to in the future.

We got the Tom Zap beef and Chicken broths since it's against my religion to have blood. The Tom Zap taste like Tom yum soup. The meats and seafood were very fresh. The sauces delightful. We enjoyed the mild and spicy sauce. It didn't bother my stomach so I'm happy they used real peppers and not chemical spices. One thing I didn't expect to like so much was garlic fried rice. It was delicious! We also enjoyed grilling the marinated beef and pork belly. The mango salad and spring rolls were delicious. The waitress teased us for stopping after 1 round. The drinks were good too we got a coconut smoothie with milk and Thai iced tea, definitely need that to cool you down from the spicy food. Next time will be back again and hopefully hungrier so I can enjoy more food!

'GO SOMEWHERE ELSE' We were extremely disappointed with our…read morerecent visit to this restaurant. Having traveled from Pennsylvania based on positive experiences Ive been here few times before, I expected a much better experience. The service felt off from the start due to I was speaking Thai and waiter/waitress likely judged that I do not speak English. My husband heard the whole conversation and it bothered him at the moment led him to feel unwelcome, but I told my husband that I don't care what they think so we can enjoy our meal. The overall atmosphere was rather strange for an all-you-can-eat buffet. The total bill for two adults came to ~$74 We ordered two sets of pendant bread () for takeout, and we left a $10 cash tip on the table. Almost immediately after placing the cash down, the waitress approached and asked if it was a TIP making a VISIBLY DISPLEASED expression before walking away. As we were leaving, I was confronted by the owner or head manager (me and him spoke Thai) inquired what was wrong with the service. He stated that the waitress had complained about the TIP amount less than 10%. We explained that we had not included the approximately $30 takeout order in our tip calculation, especially considering it was a buffet restaurant. A quick calculation would have shown that the $10 TIP represented roughly 15% on the dining portion alone, and the waitress's primary contribution during our visit was simply providing water and choice of 'appetizers'. I gave them 5 stars on google and yelp 6 years ago (going to delete it) I have always recommended this place to my boss and colleagues from NY, NJ to PA But I will have to retract my recommendation to them after this. I REPEAT 'DO NOT COME HERE' We will NOT be returning. While the food itself was decent but the UNGRATEFUL ATTITUDE and handling of the situation completely ruined what had otherwise been a pleasant meal. I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE! They will not appreciate shit from you if it TOO LITTLE (for them). This incident was HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I wish I can get my $10 back. Just because you want more, then you DESERVE NOTHING
