I went in for a fill on my eyelash extensions on 4/2/21 the next day my eyes where so itchy and the lashes felt so close to my skin or even on my lash line. After that one of my eye started to hurt and swell up I ended up going to the emergency room got medicine and the told me to take them off. I do not recommend this place ever save your money and a trip to the hospital. read more

Did eyelash extensions with Van. Her hands are very gentle, you couldn't feel it at all. She was also very quick. It was overall a very pleasant experience! Just make sure you clarify about the price, they offer different types of eyelash extensions, not just $40 like advertised outside on the store front. I love when I'm pleasantly surprised. You wouldn't know it by the looks of this place, but for a mere $25 you can have yourself a great pedicure. My toes were in need of some LUVIN. I was at the BF's so couldn't go to my regular spot. Being lazy I chose the closest salon I could find. The place is bigger than it appears and is full service. So nails, cut, color, they do it all. I was greeted right when I walked in but told to wait. And wait I did because it was almost 30 minutes before they got started on my footsies. But the negatives end there. The pedicure I received was better than what I've had at high-end nail salons which charge upwards of $40 for the same treatment that Happy salon charged $25 for. Yes! They offer 2 types of pedicures: standard and deluxe. Deluxe (what I chose) includes a 15 minute foot/leg massage,exfoliating scrub, steam towels, and tons of pampering. I especially enjoyed the lotion they used afterwards b/c it gave my legs a cool, soothing sensation that had a very relaxing effect. AND it's been two weeks since I've been there and my toes still look fabulous - NO LIE. It's safe to say they've got themselves a regular. read more

Update: Came back to get my eyelashes fixed since it was still hurting me. Yesterday Vicky and two other girls made me feel like I was crazy since they didn't see anything wrong when I was complaining about the eyelashes poking my eye (like they can tell ME about how my eye is feeling). Today I saw Jenny and Lily and they saw what was going on and tried fixing the problem. Thank you Lily and Jenny for helping me and not telling me that I was wrong for feeling pain in my eye. Changing my review to two stars. PM Update: the next day, chunks of the false eyelashes came off SMH... changing my review back to a one star, sorry, I'm not happy if people pay $60 for lashes that start falling off the next day. 3rd Day Update: lashes there are so heavy that the base keeps touching my eyeball and broke my contact lens once again!! DO NOT get your acrylic nails here!!! They will start peeling in about 3 days after you get them done. Not only did it happen once to me, but twice. I went the second time because I though that Vicky would understand that nails don't come off after a few days of having them. My mistake was waiting 6 days after I had them done, since I was out of town for 4 days and couldn't come right when they started to peel. Vicky was unprofessional and blamed me by telling me that my nails were about 2 weeks old (only 6 days) and if not, it was because I used a lot of water (I sure didn't). I showed her the receipt and she went into insisting that I used too much water. To make it short, since this is the only place I knew close by, I go my nails done and had to pay FULL PRICE for the fill. Lady who did my fill asked who had done them before, because they had done a bad job. Even she ADMITTED it was a lousy job done! Vicky (owner) didn't give any discount nor did she apologize for a crappy job they had done. By the way, this other fill also started to peel a few days after. If I hadn't used water the first time, I used much less the second time. This establishment uses CHEAP MATERIALS. Run away before walking in! If you want your acrylics to last a few days, come here!! $15 for a spa pedicure? Sold! This place was actually very clean and nice looking inside. It wasn't stuffy in there either, and it was a pretty hot day when I came in. Michelle did my pedicure and brows. She did a good job, so I wouldn't mind returning to her again. She tried to get me to get my hair done but I politely declined, maybe next time. She had cute hair though, so I'd trust her with her style and judgement. I came in on a Monday and I was the only one in there getting a pedicure but there were some hair appointment clients there. I was introduced to VICKY a couple of years ago when I decided to get my hair cut and highlighted. My friends all went to Vicky (when she had her old salon) and highly recommended her. So I scheduled an appointment and got my hair DID! When I got to Vicky's, I told her who I was and who recommended me. She gave me a really good deal on my highlights with cut (for $120) I had super long hair, so I thought that was a reasonable price. She layered my hair to fit my face shape. She highlighted my hair based on my skin color and what works best for ME. She chopped off a lot of my spit ends and made my hair feel so much healthier. I waited until I had come here twice before writing my review. I am super picky about my hair and nails. Very particular, but this place is close to my house and looked really clean in the pics. And after all, if I hate it, I can always turn around and leave since I'm just a walk-in. I didn't get the name of the nail lady, but she's done a full set and a fill for me and both are just fantastic!!!! I'm really happy! The whites are nice and thin just like I love it to be! My first couple times coming here I tried a couple of different ladies but I am glad that I gave JENNY a try. They say dont judge a book by it's cover and that is the truth about Jenny, She has made me stop going to the Barbershop. After my haircut many people ask me what babershop I go to and they are surprised by my answer... Trust me fellas Jenny can get you right for the weekend or week. I got a cut and dyed my whole hair pitch black. I'm not quite sure about the highlights now though. I know before she charged me a wee bit high. It was definitely worth it, but I know some places who would have done it for lower. Anyway, that was then. This is now. Her prices seemed to have gone down, thank goodness! So definitely, her prices are now reasonable. I also came here to get a pedi, and it turned out really nice ;) I also bought a freeze hair spray -- all in all I spent about less than a bill. The place is definitely bigger than her last salon. Parking however, gets packed. Otherwise, good location for her business -- so yes it gets busy. This review is from about a month ago now? My friend recommended this place for lashes so I called and booked an appointment. The process was fast but when the technician was done she had me open my eyes and there were lashes poking my eyes which led them to watering. Everything seemed fine as I left but I noticed some fall out. Before going to bed brushed out my lashes (like you're supposed to) and went to bed (making sure I didn't sleep on my face) and woke up with half of the lashes on my left eye have fallen out and my right eye had lost a noticeable amount as well. I call that day to let them know what happened and that I wouldn't be able to make it in that day to have them look and fix it (I had work until the time they were closing) and they said I could come Saturday. I go in Saturday around 2:30 and the lady looked at my lashes said they could fix it but not that day-Tuesday. So I was going to have to go the whole weekend and 2 days of work with janky eyelashes. I was frustrated with the situation and asked if instead of having to come all the way back I could get a refund-they said no they don't do refunds just fixes, which I could deal with although I was annoyed but then they asked that I still pay a fee for having them to fix it!! I'm seriously annoyed with the situation, I paid $80 dollars (with tip) for the worst lashes I've had. They did fix the lashes but there wasn't as much volume as the first time and they lasted about a week. Not worth what I paid and will not come back. 2 stars for the fact that they had me come in so they could fix the problem but the wasn't happy with miscommunication and overall quality. read more

I've always had an "okay" experience with salons, but ever since I found this place..I've been a loyal customer ever since. I've been following Vicky (owner) for years. She is really good at cutting hair, and charges reasonable prices! She is fast, professional, friendly..everything I ever wanted in a stylist! I'm usually not the chatty type when it comes to going to these places, I don't like to gossip or mingle, I just want to sit and relax while someone is doing my hair. I normally don't see the value of a male paying to get his hands and feet groomed but my perception has changed experiencing my first mani and pedi. I stumbled upon this place because the wife needed a manicure and pedicure and we were on a tight schedule that morning. Other salons in the area were either open or busy. Luckily, Yelp located this spot as we were driving by, it was open and no one else was in there, score! I initially only decided to get a pedicure because I just had my cast removed after Achilles surgery and my feet were dry and crusty as hell. But after she took care of my feet, I said eff it, I'll get my hands done as well. As an athletic guy, my hands and feet have taken a beating from all the physical activity. Years of callouses, broken skin, etc. gone. The lady worked her magic and left everything feeling smoother than ever. I didn't get nail polish or anything, but the wife complained about them not having any of the fancy brands. The place was clean and the seats were nice and comfortable. I was afraid the workers there were going to go H.A.M. on my feet and talk lots of mess, but my wife assured me that they didn't. read more

I havent been to this salon yet but my review is for vicky. I met vicky a couple of years ago after noticing highlights she did on a random girl while eating crawfish. She used to work at kelly's salon, then i lost her for awile. While driving on story i saw a shop called vicky's salon. When i walked in i saw her, i was so happy. Shes always been so nice to me. I always get the color i want which is ash brown and my highlights were always blond with no brass. I went to vicky those times i didnt have a stylist and she never disapointed me. At that time hlites, color and cut was 130$. I havent seen her for over 4 years and i miss her dearly. She always always wanted to work with me but since i charge so much, she knew that her location isnt right for me. From hairstylist to almost a sister to me, i love her. I've been here twice to get my hair dyed ombré blonde. First time, the lady messed up on blending my hair. However, I was very happy considering it was my first time dying it, was scared on how it would look. Second time, I tried dying my hair back to blonde from having a teal(Sally's dye). It took about 3- almost 4 hours. It was very difficult to dye, which she made sure that I knew just in case I wouldn't be surprised when I see the long process or some green streaks. This is the worst experience I've ever had. I went to Vicky putting my trust in her and she totally failed me. I wanted to go blonde and I did not even get anywhere close to the color I wanted. The first picture was my previous hair color, the second picture was the one I showed her asking for something similar to that. Vicky assure me she could do whatever I wanted so we proceed to a charge of $180.00 - the third picture is the actual outcome which I was not happy with. I asked her if she could fix it and she stated I would have to wait a couple of weeks, when I called to make an appointment she stated I would need to pay again and would need to call back when she wasn't busy to book an appointment. I was so upset that she would even try to charge me after not doing a good job, like what kind of good business owner does that, also my appointment was directly with her and she had 3 other salon workers doing my hair, they do not take care of you nor do they care to. All this salon cares about is getting a good review, being that after my hair was done she repeated to give her a good review on yelp. I rather pay someone else my hard working earned money than to ever go back to happy salon hair & nails - so I did. The last picture shows dedication and hard work, I paid $200.00 to get my hair fixed and it was well worth it, now this is something similar if not better than what I wanted. I would not recommend this salon to anyone ever, Vicky uses the cheapest bleach and does not care to take care of your hair, just a shitty business owner if you ask me. read more
