If I could post 0 stars I would. We have been coming to this restaurant for years because it's right outside our hotel, it's outside, it has a view of the harbor, and sometimes there's live music. We arrived tonight around 6:20pm and stood by a table (sign said please seat yourself) for several minutes before realizing no one is as going to bus the table. So we bussed the table. No big deal. Except that none of the 3 workers we talked to to throw away someone else's food gave a darn or said anything to us. About 10 minutes later, a waitress finally came out, she still didn't wipe the table or take the check from the previous customers. Honestly who knows how long that leftover food had been sitting there. I'm not up to date on the health code but I'm sure there's many violations here. Finally the waitress takes our order and then never shows up again until it's time for our check. Except 30 minutes later, still no check. The service has never been great here but this is an absolute joke. The food is average at best, it is overpriced, and the service has gotten worse and worse. We are past Covid. Why is this place getting worse and worse?? Is there even a manager who works here? No the answer is no. Regardless of proximity, I won't be back to this awful place. read more

Harbourside was good. Enjoyed a griddle burger. Service was reasonably attentive although spread a little thin (thanks to Covid and staffing issues that everyone is experiencing right now). I will say that the drinks are a little watered down, as seems to be typical of resort bars. read more

Terrible service. There was only 1 open table in the place (self seating), so we sat down. Waited 15 minutes, nobody came to check on us. Stopped a waitress to see if someone would bus the dirty table. She removed the trash, but nobody wiped it down and there was still bits of food left on the table. Left. read more

Bar food and very busy. It's a bit confusing on how to place a order. Maybe I missed a sign somewhere. They have a takeout window or table side ordering. I ordered from the takeout window because I wasn't clear. I had the double burger. It was overcooked, dry and bland. My wife had the Turkey burger. It was also overcooked, dry and tasteless. Part of the confusion with ordering was trying to stalk for a table since it was very busy so my wife and I divide and conquered. She searched for someone leaving a table while I ordered. Once I got the food and sat down at the table a waitress came over and politely informed us that tables were for people ordering table side only and not take out. We explained the confusion and she said it was okay to remain there to eat. Feeling guilty about her tips since I had already tipped when I ordered at the bar we elected to move to picnic tables and eat freeing up the bar side table for a ordering customer. Kelli (with the manbun) had the personality of a $3 bill. No manners. Rude. Entitled little prick waiting tables thinks he's going places. Update..... HE's NOT!! Sadly places in Hilton Head like the HH Diner and this dump will always survive because of oblivious tourists who don't do their research. Very overpriced burgers. You pick your meat, your bun type, and your toppings. All toppings are ala carte and cost extra. Want cheese? Extra. Want pickles? Extra. Onions? Extra. You can easily drop a $20 for burger, fries, and drink. I'll cut them a little slack because its a touristy spot but at the end of the day you have to put a cap on what you can charge for a burger. I would have been more forgiving if they had good service and a comfortable sitting area...but they had neither. Service was slow and you sit in cheap plastic chairs at cheap plastic tables that are not level. Our table rocked back and fourth. Drinks and live music were both pleasant and the only recommendable feature of this place. read more

I was pleasantly surprised! We expected mediocre servant food, but this please located by the water had excellent service and tasty food. Prices are elevated as it's a tourist spot, but thats expected. We had a yummy Peel and eat shrimp appetizer with spicy seasoning. A Caesar salad (prepackaged dressing) and crab legs. It started out great! Our server was funny and was attentive. He got nothing wrong. The dragonfruit berry smoothie was great, not strong in the alcohol but good. The size was not worth the ten dollar price tag though. I had the black and blu burger. The fries were so good. Perhaps the best on the island. But the burger made it seem like they used pepper with pepper sauce and sprinkled with pepper. Basically the pepper taste overwhelmed even the blue cheese. I was at 5 stars until the star of the meal, the burger, was subpar. I would give it another chance if given the option, but was not impressed the first time. read more

This was a great place to rest and enjoy a drink and meal! The food was good and service was excellent. We were served within 5 minutes of sitting down and checked on several times throughout the 1.5 hours we were sitting. We ordered the fried shrimp and jerk chicken and two drinks. All of it was great. While prices were a bit high due to touristy location, I didn't feel like I majorly overpaid for the food that we were served. Overall was a great experience. read more

We were a bit nervous to eat here because of the mixed reviews, but we had the loveliest lunch after seeing the lighthouse. We had the friendliest server ever, and our food was delicious. The chilled peel-and-eat shrimp were so good and gigantic, and the burgers, fish sandwich, and fries were cooked perfectly. We had extraordinary customer service, and the whole family left happy. We went on a Saturday night around 8. We immediately found a table for eight. The drinks were expensive and weak. I now understand why we were able to get a table for eight right away on a Saturday night when everywhere else was packed. I recommend you look elsewhere for drinks. Great place for a quick bite or drink in Harbour Town. Please keep in mind they do have limited seating and it is all outdoors. Due to being outside they are a seasonal restaraunt and are not open in the "off season". My go to is the chicken sandwich and fish sandwich. The curly fries are great too! read more

First time I haven't followed the reviews on Yelp and boy was that a mistake. I think three stars is a bit too many for this place. We were looking for a quick bite and came upon this place. The reviews weren't great but we were hungry. They offered typical bar food. We opted for the fried mac n cheese bites and a burger and fries. My wife likes extra crispy fries so we reminded the waitress to leave them in a little longer so they were crispy. I ordered my burger with lettuce tomatoes and cheese (condiments were on the table). The mac n cheese bites came first and they were great, served with a type of bacon sauce for dipping. When the burger arrived we became aware of their three star status. No onions = lots of onions. The bacon and cheddar we added to our "crispy" fries looked like someone took a can of cheese wiz and imitation bacon bits and sprinkled them on the fries. The fries were the least cooked fries I've had in a long time. Though they are advertised as crispy fries on their menu. It was disappointing. The atmosphere is ok. You likely will be joined by a bird who will initiate a stare down for your last fry, let him have it, he'll be just as disappointed as I was. read more

This is your casual, summer night dinner spot with live acoustic music on the water in Harbour Town. It was still packed when we went for dinner at 9:30pm (4th of July week), but the wait wasn't super long. Delicious burgers and toppings, though they could put more of the toppings on. Mixed drinks are good, but if they put them in an ice cold glass instead of plastic, they wouldnt get watered down in 10 minutes. Awesome that they offer a good gluten-free bun!!! read more

Tasty burgers and a solid brew selection are about all you can expect from a harborside bar at Sea Pines, but this place delivers on both counts. My 'cheeseburger in paradise' was delicious, and the craft brew selection is about as good as anywhere on the island. About 8 brews on tap, and a wider selection in cans and bottles (including the always-reliable Westbrook One Claw - yum!). Service is slow but polite, and there's always great music playing. First friendly service we have had since being here. We both had the hot dog. What's sad is if you are deciding on the crab place or this place, save your money and eat here. This is a great place to sit down for a quick, and relatively inexpensive lunch. I got a hot dog, which was a nathans all beef dog - nothing too special on paper, but for the price, it was a good lunch - especially with the french fries on the side. It rained pretty hard on us while we were eating but the guy was quick to come and adjust our umbrella over our table to make sure we didn't get wet. I also got a pina colada (virgin) which wasn't half bad. Not the absolute best I've ever had, but it was a nice refreshing addition to the meal. We have ate this place a number of times the past few years we were down...they were all a disappointment. This year it was excellent!!! They revamped the menu items and have drastically improved food quality. The burgers were cooked perfectly, it was nice they now offer a standard version along with a single patty option. The toppings were all fresh and the bun was flavorful. The chicken sandwich was excellent and the chicken even had a lot of moisture to it. The fries were well seasoned. Excellent job! Nice spot especially if you have little ones. The portions are rather generous. My wife had the garden burger and loved it. I had a burger with added bacon and grilled onions, it's was awesome. Great place to sit outside and enjoy Harbour Town. In the past we had avoided Harbourside due to its limited menu. This trip, we noticed that they had expanded their menu. I then read the reviews and was concerned about the waitstaff. However, looking for a casual outside restaurant, we decided to give it a try. I am pleased to say, that our experience was superb. Our waitstaff, B. Scott I believe, was very attentive. She was prompt to give us menus when we sat down and then was attentive to our needs. Our major concern in the past was the lack of a fish sandwich. We are so glad that they added one to the menu. We had some special needs regarding the preparation of the fish and french fries that they gladly accommodated. The sandwich and fries were delicious. After biking for 2 hours around Hilton Head, we stopped at the Marina for something to eat. The first thing we spotted was Harbourside and we sat down for some drinks and food. I noticed there were a lot of negative reviews about the service. I didn't find service to be poor. Our waiter was attentive and served us in a timely manner. I loved the atmosphere. This outdoor bar is my favorite kind of summer vacation lunch spot. It's right on the marina and near to a shady area with lots of rocking chairs. I actually loved this area. As for the restrooms--- They are public outdoor bathrooms... what do you expect? I actually thought they were VERY clean. No biggie. And as for the food... Average burgers. Not great but not terrible. I thought they were too expensive for just an average burger. That's the reason for 3 stars and not 4. A good spot for a laid back, simple lunch. read more

The perfect location to stop in when visiting this area IF the weather cooperates and there aren't bugs. Totally open air with fairly comfortable table and chairs under an umbrella. Too bad the food doesn't earn high marks. I ordered the Angus burger with regular accompaniments. The patty was extremely salty and had no "meaty" taste at all. Very overpriced for whatever it actually was. One person ordered the garden burger and thought it was ok. The kid's chicken fingers were of the heavily - breaded (maybe commercial) kind. The favorite meal was the barbecue. None of the meals were delivered as ordered and there was quite a bit of food - swapping going on in the kitchen. We first thought we had gotten some other table's order. Bottom line: overpriced even for the location. read more

Cocktails objectionably weak and consequently tasteless. Possibly due to capacity of the plastic glasses they are served in. We are staying at the Marriott nearby and stopped in for drinks after a trip to Savannah; I'll stick with beer or wine if I ever come back. They feel compelled to have entertainment. Tonight, have a solo lounge folk guy with lots of electronics that provide harmony; the effect is faintly reminiscent of the Eagles. Covers of Billy Joel and the Drifters short of the mark. We did not have food so can't comment. One oddity in South Carolina is that one apparently can't order burgers rare or medium rare -- supposedly a health dept thing, although you can order rare steak. read more
