    Jones Iced latte
    Sarah G.

This place is the cutest coffee shop. It's inside a wine bar in the corner. It was a little hard finding it at first but when I did I was so happy to place my order. I chose the Jones iced latte which was good! The decor around the coffee shop was such a cute fun aesthetic . The customer service was good and I like how they offer parking and you don't have to street park unless the parking lot is full.

I've waited too long to go to their spot! First of all, their cafe and baristas are beyond welcoming. They make you feel so at home. The art and vibes are immaculate. The coffees? Delicious. I got the Kinfolk iced and it was the perfect balance of sweet and strong. I also love that they usually host Sorrel on weekends, and bless that friendship because I'll run for their breakfast sammies any day. I'll be back again and again. Thanks for holding down the neighborhood and providing a fresh and warm welcome.

Harlem Coffee definitely knows how to stand out. Think "hipster renaissance" vibes. It's an indoor coffee cart, but they've managed to create an atmosphere that feels intentional and cool without being too pretentious. Now, onto the drinks. This is where things get a little tricky. The menu is full of adventurous, specialty flavors. They are creative, fun to order, and very "Instagrammable." The problem is... the coffee (and matcha) itself kind of disappears under all that. If you're someone who really wants to taste the espresso, you'll probably find it overpowered and should stick to basics - although our barista wasn't too helpful on that front either so we just went with what was popular instead of finding something more personal. Maybe it was an off day. The egg nog matcha latte was neat and aesthetic but leaned heavily towards "cream and spice" than "matcha," which might thrill adventurous palates but disappoint purists. Bottom line: Come here if you want to vibe and taste an idea rather than solid fundamentals

2nd time at Harlem Coffee today. It's a pop up cafe at Sauvage, and I believe they're only open during the week (Mondays- Fridays). They do make my fave coffee (honey oatmilk latte) perfectly. Great balance of the coffee, milk and honey. However, it's pretty pricey. They only have 1 size (12oz i think) and my drink was a little over $8. The place is super cute, spacious and has great natural lighting. Perfect for a little coffee shop workplace.

Impulsively decided to try Harlem with a friend and I'm so glad that we did! This place was so cute inside, definitely the kind of coffee shop I'd want to come to with friends and hang out or just to get some work done. They had quite a few fun sounding drinks, but I ended up going with the Black Berry Matcha which was so good. My friend got the Kinfolk which she also thought was so good. I would both definitely recommend this place and would definitely come back!

A cute coffee pop up in a wine shop. Parking is sparse but there's lots of availability in the surrounding neighborhood. It was a steady flow of customers while I was there. I asked the staff about kinfolk vs black AF and since I wanted a hot drink, he suggested the kinfolk which did not disappoint. It came out with beautiful latte art and was the perfect temp. I also got the quiche which was good but not heated thoroughly. It got cold toward the middle. I still ate it because it was good and the staff were busy so I didn't want to bother them. For a latte and slice of quiche I paid $18. I'll be back to try the black AF drink!

Try this place out, one of the better matcha spots in Phoenix! Their matcha is hand whisked to order, we tried the Strawberry and Black Sesame. Both were good, I wish the Black Sesame flavor was stronger. It's located in a wine bar that's super cozy and has a homey feel with all the furniture and decor. ig: @cravingswithcat

If I could bottle up a dream and drink it, it would taste exactly like the coffee at Harlem. From the very first sip, it was clear--this wasn't just coffee, it was art. Deep, aromatic, bold, and beautifully complex, it's the kind of cup that stays on your mind long after it's empty. The Matcha? Ceremonial-grade and stunningly green, with an earthy richness that feels like sipping from nature itself. Every detail feels intentional, from the flavors to the vibes. The space is just as inviting; hipster, vintage, and totally eclectic. Everyone feels like family the moment you walk in. Warm, welcoming, and full of personality, Harlem is the kind of place you dream about going back to before you've even left.

Harlem Coffee is fairly new and I absolutely recommend everyone give them a try! They have the best coffee concoctions, I was so impressed with my drink, and all of the different flavors poured into one little cup. I can't wait to go back and try more drinks, it was a very hard decision for me to pick only one drink. Harlem coffee has some very unique flavors in the best way possible. Some notes about the space itself, It is large for a coffee shop however, there is also a wine bar located inside. The line to order coffee was extremely long and before we left, it just got busier. The space offers multiple rooms a various sizes that include tables and chairs for larger groups and unfortunately, some really selfish customers tend to take up an entire room rather than sitting at a smaller table. I feel like some signage would be appropriate, indicating that it will be a shared space. This is now the third business that I know of and ironically, all of them have been fantastic.

harlem coffee is an absolute GEM!!! central phoenix is lucky to have such a wonderful establishment. i came here on a sunday morning, and was warmly greeted by the staff of sauvage and walked into the most beautiful community space. although quite busy, the room was packed with people tucked away in nooks either socializing, studying or reading a book. i ordered an iced matcha latte, and per the barista's recommendation i got the black sesame syrup as a sweetener. i usually am not a big fan of black sesame but i took a gamble and i am SO glad i did! the matcha was perfectly sweetened, and slightly nutty. the powder itself was clearly high quality and the oat milk helped to create a nice foam. i can tell love is poured into every aspect of this business - from the cozy branding, seasonal specialties, and the baristas' warm demeanor. i will definitely be back soon. 10000/10!

Walking into this café feels like stepping into a living tribute to the Harlem Renaissance--a space where Black artistry, culture, and creativity aren't just honored, they're thriving. From the curated art on the walls to the soft hum of jazz playing in the background, every detail reflects a deep reverence for the explosion of Black expression that defined that era. The vibe is both soulful and modern, creating a space that feels like it was built to nurture conversation, creativity, and community. And the drinks? Truly something special. I fell in love with their matcha topped with ube lavender foam --one of the most unique flavor combinations I've tried. The sweet and floral notes balanced each other beautifully, and the foam added a dreamy texture that made every sip feel indulgent. They use Kettl matcha in their drinks too, so there's this rich, velvety depth with a hint of toastiness that sets it apart from the usual café matcha. They also sell cans from Kettl to make at home! Sadly, it was just a limited spring flavor--I'm seriously hoping they bring it back! I also tried their strawberry matcha- which is their limited summer flavor. I don't usually go for strawberry matchas, but it was really good! The strawberry purée was vibrant and sweet, though it leaned a little too sugary for my taste. Still, I can see it being a hit for anyone who enjoys a more dessert-like drink. What really ties it all together, though, is the people. The workers are always incredibly kind and welcoming--especially the owner, who's always chatting with customers and creating such a warm, community-driven atmosphere. And let's be honest: everyone there is just so aesthetic, it's kind of unreal. The fits? Immaculate. Every time I go, I feel like I've stepped into a beautifully curated fashion zine where everyone's effortlessly cool.

Was super impressed with the menu. Located inside of Suavage this place is awesome to walk to in this neighborhood. Fall menu is looking tasty!! Busy, but plenty of room inside and out to spread out.

There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.

I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. I have literally been thinking about that gelato since I left Phoenix. Luckily this company has locations in Texas so I will definitely be seeking out this gelato soon.

Have a meal at The Sicilian Butcher and then follow that up with dessert at The Sicilian Baker. There are several locations in town, with this one being in North Phoenix. On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Thursday. Parking tends to be busy in their complimentary lot, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is connected to The Sicilian Butcher. It's a small bakery, with only a few seats. More of a grab-and-go type of spot or the source of your dessert if you're dining at the restaurant. While small, the decor and ambiance is nice. Service (3/5): A little bit of bad luck, but on my most recent visit, they were having trouble with their refrigeration so no gelato was available. While interacting with the staff, it was an average experience. I will say that the service was much better in the restaurant. Drinks (N/A): I only got dessert, but they do have coffee and a few other beverages available. Food (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is known for its cannolis, tiramisu, gelato, and lobster claws (dessert, not real lobster haha). On my most recent visit, I had a cannoli. They have your classic cannoli but also a nice variety of other fillings including pistachio, Reese's, and more. A+ for creativity, though I decided to stick with the classic. Solid. In fact, all of the desserts I've had here over the years have been quite good.

It's smooth, rich without being too heavy, and the flavor actually develops as you eat it instead of just being one-note sweet. You can tell they take this part seriously. Leave it outside the fridge for an hour and watch that cheesecake melt on your tongue crystals (if you have the patience for that) Their rotating monthly flavors keeps things interesting, and you're not just stuck with the same lineup every time. Out of what I tried, the banana pudding one was easily a standout--super nostalgic, creamy, and just done right without being overly sweet. The coconut one was also up there, more subtle but still really clean and flavorful. Love me some coconut! They also have a punch card system--buy 9 slices, get the 10th free--which is a nice touch. It lowkey turns into a mission because once you've tried one flavor, you kinda want to work your way through all of them anyway. Now...the downside. The customer service just isn't great. It's not aggressive or anything, just noticeably lacking. There's not much warmth or engagement--it feels pretty transactional. For a place that clearly puts effort into their product, you'd expect at least a baseline level of hospitality, and it's just not really there. So overall, if you're going to Banhams, go for the cheesecake. The rotating flavors keep it fresh, the quality is legit, and it's definitely worth trying.
