Always a pleasant experience at Harry's Pizzeria. I've visited both the Coconut Grove location and the Miami Beach location and the food is great across the board. If you're someone who enjoys fresh wood fired pizza, this place will not disappoint. They have happy hours on weekends which is pretty extensive compared to other places- choose from cocktails, beer, wine or most importantly pizza for HALF off! Hard to believe this is a great happy hour offered on the WEEKENDS! I have to mention that they messed up our order only to show their great service and how they handled it. It was a group of us and so we ordered a numerous amount of pizza pies but seems like one was missed and the order for it was never placed. When it seemed like enough time went by we called the waiter over and she explained that it had been missed and apologized. Once the pizza came out, they waived the charge on it. Not that I expect a business to do this but it was a nice touch of customer service and one that I can appreciate. The crispy chicken wings are fresh and have the right amount of kick to them. It also helps that they have a hint of sweet to them. We decided to be bold and order a rock shrimp pizza and it was delish! the lemony taste pairs deliciously with the shrimp and cheese. Great food and service. We had the wings, endive salad, and polenta fries to start which were all tasty. And the short rib pizza and BBQ special pizza, the former was much better than the latter though. The BBQ pizza said spicy habanero sauce but we didn't get any kick at all. It's becoming easier to find amazing pizza outside of NYC, and Harry's are definitely doing their part. Good service but mostly only one guy - the dude behind the bar. Poor dude didn't have much help aside from one of the chefs in the back (great dude) who brought out our orders. The pizzas were outstanding. Super thin crust, even char. We had their spinach and artichoke pie (their July special) and their spicy pepperoni that got a boost of heat from Calabrian chilis. Both absolutely solid pies. We got a short rib rigatoni that was so good as made an order for another pasta, cacio e pepe. And that's where it fell totally flat. There was a generous helping of shaved prosciutto on the cacio e pepe. Prosciutto. On cacio e pepe. That's a negative, Ghost Rider. Not in a million years. To be honest, I have no idea if the cacio e pepe was any good because all we could taste was the prosciutto that has absolutely no business being in the dish in the first place. So net-net, stick with the pizza, pass on the cacio e pepe. Still giving a thumbs up, though! read more

Food was good. But the service.... Worst I've ever had since living in Miami Beach. And that's saying something... literally everything that could have gone wrong, did. We were sat, and sat for 10 minutes before we waved someone down our selves and asked for water and if we could order, the random gentleman took our order and put it in. 30 minutes pass and my fiancé says "can you believe we've been here for 30 minutes already?! He waved a random person down again to ask for a water refill since both cups were empty. The table of 4 seated beside us arrived when we had been there for 20 minutes already, and at this 35 minute point, their entire meals were brought out, while our appetizers hadn't even come out. At this point my fiancé went to talk to a manager who went and got a size small pizza (we ordered large) and gave it to us to "hold us over until our items come out". No other apology offered. Wave down #3 for more water from yet ANOTHER person. We quite literally did not have a server. WE just kept going in and asking for whatever we needed or waved down the closest person. Lastly, we ask the front desk to get our check (since we didn't have a server to ask) and it was brought out incorrectly (probably because no one was helping us consistently) Finally got it fixed and left on our merry way. Update...We will no longer be going to Harry's Pizzeria. Upon arrival to Harry's today we were told that our service dog couldn't come in. When I explained she was a service animal, the rude waiter we encountered scoffed and took us to a table saying "I guess you can sit here". He then returned and told us "in the future, you need proper documentation" While we do have proper documentation, the waiter at a pizza place has no right to ask for it. He was an absolute jerk to us and didn't even fill our water or take our order. He made us very uncomfortable. The prices for pizzas have gone up since we last went, the happy hour is no longer a great deal, they ran out of mushroom pizza, and our server stopped by zero times to check on us. This place used to have a great gentleman at the front that would greet everyone and make everyone (dogs included) feel welcome. Now we are greeted by someone who treated us like we didn't belong there. We don't. We will spend our hard earned dollars at a place that respects their patrons. I can't believe I've never dined in considering I love the Grove & Harrys always looks great whenever I pass the restaurant but I will say that every time I order this pizza in I am very happy & satisfied! I've been going here for the past 2 years and I am giving up. Pizza is ok not great but every time I go there is always a problem. For example the grated Parmesan they use is the worst imaginable so bad I even started bringing my own. Something else that rankles me is a pizza joint that serves wines by the glass no less than $12 and up. Really??? Speaking of that they have a decent happy hour that seems to change daily according to the whim of the manager - I guess. You never know what to expect. Happy Hour was seven days a week for a long time so we went last Saturday night with a group for HH and guess what? No more happy hour on weekends! We left. I cannot stand this inconsistency. We are going back to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza which has really good pie and reasonable prices and a happy hour which hasn't changed in years. read more

We had burrata pizza and a salad . The pizza was cold , we asked to hit it again and we were told that it is impossible to hit the burrata . They didn't offer to change , they didn't even got back to ask if it's all good . We left whole pizza and took it home .... They service was great and the food was delicious! We got the peaches and cheese and it was to die for. Also they have gluten free pizza. They make it with buckwheat which is in face gluten free despite its name. Everything was amazing and they didn't mind answering the million questions we had about where their fish was sourced which is in face local and fresh. I originally went to Harry's in coconut grove 10 years ago, I'm on vacation in Miami in south beach and went to Harry's last night, I'm been a chef for many years in the northeast, I always was a fan of Harry's but this trip our meal wasn't up to par, we ordered the short rib pizza the cumin seasoning was so overwhelming it overpowered all the other flavors on the pie, the pizza crust however was excellent. We also ordered the fennel rosemary chicken wings also far to much fennel powder, which is overwhelming if you use correctly, however the polenta fries where good. Service is a problem in the restaurant industry everywhere, no one has sufficient help. I will try Harry's again hoping Michael Swartz puts out a better meal next time. chef Joe B read more
