    Huevos Rancheros

My husband and I came here for brunch to celebrate our anniversary and I'm so glad that we did. It was the perfect spot for our meal. This place is a quintessential brunch spot. I don't care if you're going for breakfast, brunch, or lunch... it's brunch and you're enjoying yourself. The atmosphere is fun. I don't know what it is, maybe the nostalgic music that was playing or just that brunch is a whole entire vibe. Could've been that I was just excited to celebrate our anniversary... whatever it is, I liked it. Our waitress was great. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name, but it started with a V. The menu options sounded so good that I struggled to decide what I wanted. I ultimately decided to go with the Croque Madam with over-easy eggs, and let me tell you, I was so happy with my choice... and the fact that I had leftovers. We had reservations at a fancy restaurant that night that I was excited to try, but I was seriously tempted to cancel my reservations for the chance to eat my leftovers. I thoroughly enjoyed it the next day though. My husband got Huevos Rancheros which is one of his favorite things to get when we go on a cruise. He said this one far surpassed his sea day brunch favorite. It's been a week since our visit and I've already made brunch plans with the girls so I can go back. Ü

I've heard the hype of this restaurant and was so excited when one opened in my area. Everything sounded so good, so it was hard to choose. We started with the biscuits and the different butters were ALL so so good. For my meal I ordered the Dr. Art Mollen scrambler and yum, great choice. The sprinkled goat cheese was a perfect touch. It also came with potatoes and they, too, were delicious! My friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros Hash. I'm normally not a fan of beans, but ever her meal was tasty. I couldn't go here and not get pancakes. I asked the waitress and she recommended the Boston Cream pancakes. She also lmk that you can get a 1/2 stack! My friend and I split them as our "dessert." It does get packed, so be mindful of that. We went on a Monday at 10 and sat instantly. Within 30/45 mins ppl began waiting. Also, join the rewards program! My friend got her mimosa for $1 and I got &12.99 off my espresso martini!

The place was packed, so we had to wait 45 minutes before we were seated. The atmosphere is loud with chatter and laughter, but there was a DJ so you have to talk louder than you normally would. Our waitress was attentive despite having many tables. The donuts (appetizer) was too sweet for me so I didn't really like it, but my family liked them. The huevos rancheros was delicious!!!! It was so good!!

Service was ok I think everyone was just trying to clean and close already I got there around 1:45 they close at 2:30. Waitress kinda slacked on coming to table for refills .Ambiance loud background music but it was cool . The food the biscuits and gravy ended up having a hair in it manger removed from ticket but that shouldn't happen . The AF breakfast is good the mini pancakes were over cooked but I'm sure it's because of the size overall food is ok I thought it would be better. Definitely with visiting if in the area . AF breakfast comes with potatoes could be better .

YUM! all caps because that's how tasty it is! Be sure to come hungry because the portions here are large. Vibes were also great between a DJ in the corner and the mimosa flight, what more can you ask for! Pro tip! Get one savory and one sweet dish to split with a friend, you'll want to get the best of both worlds!

I loved the Pearland one so much that I was thrilled to have one open in Webster. This location has the same great service and fabulous food. The millionaire bacon is a decadent treat that was better the first time around, but they may have just had an off day here. It was a bit too tough around the edges this time. But you can make a meal out of that and a couple sides! I ordered the bacon, an egg and fruit cup on the side and when you put all that with the Bloody Mary, it's a ton of food! The portions are very large so come prepared to eat or to take some of your meal home. I highly recommend the meatballs at the bloody station. They were outstanding. So many options and ways to build your Bloody Mary; you can get a totally different one every time you go. We ate outside and though it was a hot day, it's completely shaded and has a giant fan that makes it extremely comfortable even when it's humid out.

Bloody Mary was good! I liked the S'mores latte, finance said it was too sweet. Birra was one of the best around!

Hash Kitchen was awesome. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out looking just as good as it tasted. Giovanna the bartender, was amazing -- super friendly and on top of everything. She provided great direction for the food and drinks. The place has a fun vibe with good music and energy without feeling overdone. Definitely coming back and asking for Giovanna next time.

Hash Kitchen definitely stands out from other brunch cafes. The interior and theme is like "disco meets Happy Hour". They have unusual, but delicious Brunch dishes. There's an omelet station right when you walk inside! If you don't want Brunch or you are watching your weight, Hash Kitchen have salads also. The staff only use fresh ingredients in their dishes and coffee. I personally don't care for the questionable names on some of their signature dishes. Only those with potty mouths wouldn't mind. For those who love alcohol (not me), Hash Kitchen has two bars! The staff are wonderful and prices aren't bad. I was NOT pleased with their time management. It wasn't very busy, yet me and my companion ended up waiting for our meals for 30 minutes! Unacceptable! The lemon ricotta pancakes were dry and bland. The only bacon they offer is Applewood smoked bacon. No turkey bacon. I loved their "smashed "potatoes, though. Maybe next time I drop by, I'll try their famous cannoli donuts.

This place is such a vibe! They have a bar dedicated to their Bloody Mary toppings. The inside is decorated so cute. The service is exceptional, the people are very nice. You may get slower service on the weekend, as it does get packed but not to the point where it would be an issue. The drinks are top tier- I'm currently obsessed w the mimosa flight. Tip: I learned you can call ahead to join the waitlist. I ended up seating at the bar since the wait was around 30 mins Sunday morning for 2 people.

This restaurant focuses on creativity and a lively atmosphere. The restaurant has a very fun, picture worthy decor. Was very clean and fresh. Service was okay, the server and staff were kind, just a little slow but he seemed busy. Music was too loud in my opinion, if it was just 5 decibels lower, it honestly would of been fine. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be that loud and that much of a "bar brunch" theme like in midtown because honestly the decor and the food truly make the place. The food was absolutely delicious. The dishes are creative, beautifully plated, innovative and have a ton of flavor. We ordered pretty basic breakfast items along with the billionaire bacon but everything was cooked, plated and tasted great! Parking is great with it being in a strip. I would go back to try something more unique next time, a lot of items looked good! They also have many coffee options, so would definitely try one of those as well. My only comment was the music, didnt love yelling across the way to talk to my husband. The restaurant stands good without it.

The food is so yummy! The pancakes are those fried in butter kinds with the crispy edges, the birria is on point, the combos are just great! Everything is fresh and hot and top notch. The staff is super friendly, even when we came in too close to closing, sorry!! They're fast and considerate and genuinely nice people. And that dj on the weekend!! And if you come in in the weekend for your birthday, the dj will do a shoutout! Those sprinkle pancakes with the candle is super sweet too!! Highly recommend!! Oh, it's cute too and the chairs are comfy!

However, my last experience with this establishment left a horrible taste in my mouth. Therefore, I am giving them an extra star for the previous experiences. On May 17th, 2026, my best friend and I had been looking forward to coming to Water Oak all day and had our taste buds set for the occasion. We were famished and had quite a day up until arriving. Upon entering the restaurant, we were very briefly greeted by the a Hispanic man who I assume is the manager and told that they were "no longer seating for the day". I glanced around and saw that every table inside WAS seated, however there were many tables outside that were empty. I asked about the patio stating that us where we preferred to sit anyway, and was met with that they were also not seating the patio at all for the rest of the day. However, there was a group of 3 women seated outside on the patio at that exact time. I didn't say anything, simply turned and left. After having "one of those days" hashing out something so minute with a person who clearly didn't want us in their place of business was not something I was about to do. Keep in mind, we came on a Sunday afternoon. Prime brunch time. We arrived at the restaurant around 2:30PM, and their website says they don't close until 4PM. I am a biracial black woman and my friend is white. I noticed a significant amount of White and Latino patrons, but a shocking lack of Black people. With Houston having one of the most diverse populations in the US, it is almost impossible not to see at least one individual of each ethnicity in a place at any given time. I am definitely not one that likes to pull the race card, because oftentimes that is not the issue. However, as someone who is familiar with the service industry I understand Sundays can be extremely overwhelming. And I am cognizant that not everything is that serious. But, I am also aware that a lot of people in the industry discriminate against people of color, with stigmas that we don't leave enough gratuity or we "don't fit the vibe of their establishment". And those 3 women seated on the patio? All White. After reading recent reviews, it seems that management is discriminating against people of color, more specifically Black folks. This is an extremely disheartening and sickening realization to make, seeing as I have given well over $1,000 worth of my money here but also enjoyed many meals without issue. To management: It breaks my heart to have to write this review and to be honest, I wouldn't have written it if I hadn't seen others posting about similar experiences in addition to also feeling discriminated against. I highly suggest that if you are "not seating" after a specific time, you announce this via social media or alert potential patrons with a sign or something of the sort. & obviously, there is such an issue with treatment towards POC that it is a noteworthy problem via your Google & Yelp reviews. You will have a much bigger fish to fry on your hands if you continue to let this issue go on unrectified. I would be willing to return if I felt things were to be changed for the better in the future! Hopefully this review sparks a much needed conversation and brings attention to an area which needs work.

Our waitress also insisted we try her favorite pancake--it came topped with candied walnuts (and another topping I can't quite remember!), and I'm so glad she did. The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.
