Too long; didn't read: This franchise does not understand how to staff a restaurant to make it functional. This creates long wait times, long cook times, poor service, and a bad dining experience. I visited the Hash Kitchen location in Pearland and had a terrible experience. That put me off on the franchise, but my co-workers wanted to try the Webster location for lunch. I thought that since it was a Monday afternoon, it would be okay. Oh boy, was I wrong! We had a table of 8, and we had a window from 11-1pm for lunch. Its rare that we have so long. Things started off well as we got our drinks and ordered. Later...much later...two of our entrees arrived. Later...two more arrived. Later still...two more arrived. By the time the final two entrees arrived, many at the table were finished. We had to box up our food and leave quickly so we could return to work on time. We were told that there were only two chefs amd given a 10% discount. Which honestly, was a laughable compensation for this incredible level of a terrible experience. I only gave them 2 stars here because the food is actually good, which just adds to this tragedy. This makes two terrible experiences and two separate locations. This franchise should do some vast restructuring of how they run their business. If you are understaffed, close the restaurant! Either way, eight people will not be returning. read more

We came around noon, so there wasn't any wait. I ordered the sexy toast, which was their take on avocado toast. It was so good! They obviously used lemon juice to keep the avocado ripe, so if you don't like lemon, you may not like the toast. I loved the addition though. I also ordered a pancake, which was delicious. It was so huge, I couldn't eat much of it. I took half of each dish home and ate the same thing for dinner and was still sad when it was gone. My husband got the Basic AF, which was in the title. He wasn't a huge fan of the eggs, as they were slightly overcooked. The flavor was there and the bacon was so delicious, with maple glaze on it. He loved his too. It said it came with silver dollar pancakes. It came with FOUR and they were much larger than silver dollar pancakes, like 5" across each. Horrible customer service. Made a reservation by calling. When we arrived at our reservation time we were told after waiting 10 min. for host to get off his phone that we still had to wait 20 min. Great atmosphere, and great service. We ordered the billionaire bacon, hash nachos and the chilaquiles with cannoli donuts. Bacon was to me over cooked. I liked the thickness but it was way too hard to really enjoy. The nachos were good my daughter really enjoyed them, and the chilaquiles were just okay I didn't like the hard clump of eggs on top. The donuts were like you'd expect them to be they were fresh. There's so many options here it was very hard to pick. Will definitely be back to try more options and some drinks next time! read more

This place is very gimmicky. Firstly, the person who took care of me was terrific. I was by myself so sat at the bar and she was the bartender. Very personable, fast and competent. It's pretty tacky. Passé ideas, gimmicky add-ons and not a good looking space. The play list that they blast is groan worthy. If you want to be at a Bachelorette Party at 10am this is your place. I ordered eggs benedict. It was basic. The hash browns are freezer section fare from any grocery store. The food and bev is priced at a premium. I was by myself and after tip my bill was $38. There's a Dj in a booth as soon as you enter. The music is extremely loud. Not as bad if you get one of the 3 outside tables but expect the wait staff to be hard to find out there. Returned to Hash Kitchen with family who were visiting from California. Everyone was impressed with the unique offerings and excellent service. Among the dishes sampled, we started with the Benedict Fries for the table. This dish was a hit with everyone. Two of our party tried the Basic AF and reported that they really enjoyed it. The Chile Rellano Benedict with a crispy potato cake was a favorite of those who sampled it. The Chicken Tinga Scrambler was also a taste treat. I had the Biscuits and Gravy and found the biscuits to be too dense and not enough gravy to help with the dryness. The star of the fare was the Red Velvet Pancakes. We all had a sample and found them absolutely delicious. Our family left very impressed all giving Hash Kitchen two thumbs up. I will be back! read more

This place was just okay. It is very loud, so if that is not your thing, I wouldn't come here. The menu looked great and there was a lot to choose from. The best thing was the chicken and waffles, but we did ask for sauce on the side for the wings and they did not do that. The mcdrizzle, their take on a McGriddle, was over the top. Two sausage patties, two hash browns(totally unnecessary), eggs and cheese. It was too much to handle, I ended up removing one of the hashbrowns and still ended up needing a fork and knife. The kicker on this is they brand the top of the pancake which made the whole thing taste burnt. I would highly recommend asking them not to do this if you decide to order it. The burnt taste took over the whole sandwich. Someone else in our party got the avocado toast flight, shared between two people, they only liked 2/4 of the toasts and left more than they ate. All the food was luke warm and more on the side of cold. We waited about 20 mins for our food and we arrived at the end of a what might of been a rush, as by the time our food came out, most people had left.. overall it was just okay. Not terrible, not great.. I'd go back to give a few other things a try as they had a lot of tasty looking options, but it definitely would not be my first choice with all the other places to eat around there.. read more

Came to this location after having a friend recommend it to me. I sat down almost immediately as the wait isn't as long on the weekdays. My server Anh was very attentive and nice. He made sure to explain the menu to us and did his best to recommend something for my daughter as she can be a picky eater. I never had to hunt him down for anything as he kept checking on us and made sure to even recommend some thing for the next time we came. I had the ube pancakes and let me tell you 10/10. My son's pancakes were overcooked, burned on the bottom and actually crunchy. The biscuits and gravy were not good; somehow they tasted like pizza. The plain biscuits were overcooked and bland. The fries were actually delicious, and the carnitas hash plate was very good. The service was subpar. We ordered our drinks quickly but only received water at first. Then two out of three drinks came, and it took about 20 minutes to get the third, a latte. We waited even longer just to place our food order, and much longer for the food to arrive. We finally received one plate, only to realize it wasn't ours, yet it remained on the table for several minutes until the waiter finally came back. He asked us not to touch it because it might belong to someone else, but still left it there. Once he confirmed what we had already told him, he brought additional items and told us we could eat from the plate. I definitely wouldn't want a plate that had been sitting at another table for several minutes. The waiter hardly came by, never asked if the food was good, not even when he saw we left most of the plates almost full. He seemed way too rushed to notice anything and barely said two words. Ultimately, we realized this place is about the music and the drinks, not the food. Certainly not the food. They have a DJ with loud, fun music, and drinks were flowing quickly to all the tables around us. It was obvious there was no delay in getting drinks from the bar. In one word: disappointing. More elaboration: Food was cold and tasteless. I love breakfast and it's a simple meal, but Hash Kitchen is no bueno. Cold eggs? Gross. Room temp pancake, yuck. A place that is all about breakfast but can't serve tasty, hot food needs remedial training. On top of that, the music was so loud, it was very difficult to converse with my friends. We went on a Sunday and the music was pretty loud. It made it difficult but not impossible to chat among the table. We asked if it was possible if they could turn it down and the waiter declined. However, once 10 am hit the music got even louder. So much so you absolutely could not hear ANYONE. Even our waiter said it's so loud she couldn't hear us. By the time we left some of us had a headache. We spoke with the Manager about the noise and how it made the experience unpleasant and all he had to say was "well it's on the website"! Yes it does say live music on the Weekends. No where does it say the music will be so loud it will be uncomfortable. Typically if you want repeat customers you are more willing to accommodate simple things that are easy to control. Like the sound level of your music. If people want to subject themselves to hearing loss they can go hear live music. And even then you go prepared with ear protection. Never would I suspect I'd have to have ear protection just to enjoy brunch. This restaurant opened only a few weeks ago. I give this location a year with that deafening sound of they don't adjust it.
