The recycling description is laughable, "Recyclable in the few communities that accept poly-lined foodservice containers". Made reservations to take my friend out for her final days living in Northern California. She was unable to experience everything here due to Covid. We were seated quickly, the atmosphere was nice and loved the outdoor setting (nice and spacious). Our waitress seemed a little shy but her recommendations were great for the drinks and I'm not easily impressed by drinks. Pineapple Martini was good, she enjoyed her Pomegranate Ginger Mojito and Cuban 75. Check the video footage of your restaurant - you will see that you put your foot in your mouth and you (and Zak/Zach) owe us apologies. I believe in karma and thus feel badly for you...my father passed away unexpectedly and you excused two tables of drunk customers whom had larger groups than my mother and I (which is a lot more money to you than two grieving women at one table) for heckling us (there is proof of said harassment). Went there last night for my Birthday Dinner! Totally dissatisfied with the size of the portions, the quality and the taste especially the skirt steak with Chimichurri sauce and the Lamb chops! The chops were extremely small no meat on them, plus the flavor of the meat lacked anytime of seasoning pretty dam bland except for the pile of chimichurri sauce on them! And for $20 they also tried to hide the 3 tiny chops with no meat on the bottom and the regular size one was on top! Yeah Right! ‍ and I tried to talk with server about them and only thing he can say when he came back was they weigh them! Well I guess the bones weighed a lot because they left the meat off of them! And then the Chimichurri steak! Sad portion and tough as leather! Never ever will I order that again! And the size again for $30 is a child's plate and a 5 year old child may still be hungry! I've been here before and the Lamb was pretty good, but last night it was a complete waste of my time, money and my Birthday Dinner! Very disappointed. Didn't even get a chance to eat or have a drink. Kept reading comments how good drinks are here. I reserved a table days in advance for the family to celebrate a special occasion. We get there and place was crazy busy and no where to be seated mind you we reserved even asked for my credit card info over the phone. No seats and plus they wanted us to keep waiting till that group left. Even told us we didn't all fit and had to make us fit. (I dnt like being squished) Wtf. Horrible customer service the own manager couldn't even show his face and tell us directly what was going on or that they will be with us shortly. Waiters kept looking at us awkwardly. We ended up leaving because it was super loud and we felt the vibe. Weren't even acknowledged so that just told me how the service was not going to be any good. Went here for brunch today and had the whole place to myself. Clean place with concrete floors. I have heard from friends about this place but never tried it. Waiting 20 years was too long of a wait! Started with some coffee and continued refills throughout brunch. Contemplated their bottomless mimosas and mojitos but opted out this time. Ended up ordering Dungeness Crab dish with 2 poached eggs and salad. My wife ordered Chicken Ropa Vieja Chilequiles. Both dishes were fantastic. We were a bit apprehensive at first since we've never tried Cuban food before, but our server- I believe his name was Lino, did a great job of recommending the "Ropa Vieja" & "Chilaquiles" for our entrees. They were both absolutely delicious! He also recommended we try the "Yucca fries" and the "Twice fried plantains". The sauces that accompanied these two items were insanely good! 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for delicious food & drinks ! Hostess and waiter was very attentive, and restaurant had a nice calm vibe to it (Monday evening after work with co-workers). Started off with the Mango Salsa and Yucca Chips, and some Corn & Pea Empanadas. First time ever trying Yucca Chips, which were pretty good. The corn and cheese made the empanada. Then came the plantain crusted halibut - BOMB. The fish tasted excellent, the rice on point, but the corn made the dish pop. I'm a huge fan of legit Mexican street corn and I can tell you, this is the best restaurant corn I've ever had. I'd go back for for the corn. Had a wonderful dinner at Havana. Cuban food was delicious and Serviced was 100% excellent. We ordered mush avocado with thin banana chips. Worth having it again. The avocado was so fresh and delicious. I ordered ropa Veja . Shredded meat, black beans, yellow rice with 2 fried bananas. It was delicious. Portions size was a lot of meat. Took some home. The meat was tasty and not over cooked. Love the black beans. The other order was roasted pork, pickled salad, small potatoes with 3 small tortillas. It was delicious. The pork was tasty and roasted. I think a dash more tortilla will have been excellent for this dish. Oh yea almost forgot the drinks : order twice the Mojitos. They have a great menu. Need to Gunna go back to try the others. Excellent rum. Dessert: we had 3 leches. Soooo good. Came with chocolate and marshmallow. Great places to eat and enjoy the evening. Staff has are welcoming and deserve a big tip which we gave them. Came here years ago, and was AMAZED by the food! Came back here with a group of girlfriends recently, and it was so disappointing. The food-- so we came here for infamous crab cakes, unfortunately they didn't have any available.. and that wasn't the only thing that was unavailable! Just about half the items we wanted to order were unavailable. Anyhow, the food was just EHH, probably my favorite thing we order was the Cuban sandwich (which they originally said was not available). The garlic fries were soggy, the wings were overly seasoned and had a hint of cinnamon. The mojitos were pretty good, as well as the Ahi Tuna. The service was pretty good, not exceptional but it wasn't bad. The band came on around 9, and that just kinda killed our mood because it was way too loud, felt like I was in a club. Me and my roomies got reservation in another restaurant tonight, after we talked to our friend, she suggested us to go to Havana and recommended us the good dishes there. So we changed our mind to come to Havana. Our server Harvey, he is super nice guy, always checked our table, when we told him, it's our first time here, he introduced the dishes for us. We ordered a lots of food. My favorite thing is the scallops, called Day Boat Scallops, scallops over boniato mash and cumin cream. We hosted an outdoor dinner and the food and drinks were divine! The mojitos were made with fresh ingredients and a crowd favorite. The food was authentic and delicious. It was fresh, flavorful and easy to feed a large group. The fresh corn salsa was amazing! Our kids loved the empanadas. The best part though was our bartender, Ryan! She went above and beyond to make our night special. She set up the bar beautifully and even helped with our decorations. She was so hard working but always was friendly and helpful to our guests. NEVER EVER CHOOSE THIS PLACE FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION!! I Made a reservation for 15 weeks prior for my daughters adult birthday and graduate degree celebration. I checked in with Zak several times prior to date to confirm reservation details. I specifically confirmed 1) we would able to decorate table 10 minutes prior to our 5:30 reservation time and 2) we would be held strictly to our 2 hr table window. However, on the day of our event, we arrived at 5:15, but our table was not ready until 5:35 PM. Thank goodness we brought our own table decor with lights or we would not be able to see anything on the table. Our party of 15 were seated in the darkest corner of the restaurant with no overhead lights. Further, when we were seated we were not given the scan code for menus so we had to ask for them. Our guests had to go to the bar for their own drinks as no one came to take our drink order until 5:50PM. Subsequently Our dinner order was not taken until 6:05PM, and all guests did not get their meals until 6:35PM. (Now we have 55 minutes to eat dinner, celebrate the guest of honor, have dessert and coffee before 7:30PM. All due to restaurants disorganization.) Luckily, we brought our own dessert or we would not have been able to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the guest of honor. We ordered coffees while eating our brought-in dessert but with no coffee by 7:26PM I informed our server to credit my bill for coffees as we would not be able to enjoy them in a 4 minute window. Regardless, Our server was lovely. She tried very hard to make us feel attended to, but it was clear she had too many tables to attend to with a party as large as ours. In summary, this place would probably be great for a quick bite, cocktails with friends, or even if you are just in the mood for Cuban food. I have to say I was surprised to find great food at this Cuban Restaurant. Granted, I did not order anything that I would seriously consider authentic Cuban and that I have had with any of my Cuban friends homes or places where they have taken me. Either way, the food here was good! We tried a few of their tapas since we went after a long day for a drink and appetizers. We tried the grilled lamb shanks, grilled shrimp with rice, ropa vieja empanadas and scallops. I have to say we preferred them in that order. If we would have known, we more than likely would have ordered 2 lamb shanks in stead of the scallops. The lamb was nice and tender, just enough grill taste to know they were grilled and the chimichurri sauce was good too, although I believe chimichurri is more of an Argentine sauce. I did not mind but again not authentic. The shrimp were good as well, the rice had good flavor, but again to me it taste like if it was a rice used to make paella, which I did see in the menu. I wonder if they use the same rice. I will have to say I would go back for the paella if they use the same rice. This would make this a Spanish Dish. The empanadas were tasty as well, however I did not taste the Cuban spice in the empanadas. I will say, they were nice and crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. The scallops were good, however, I personally believe they lacked a little flavor. They did have a bit of a fishier taste than most places, but they were good nonetheless. I have to say, I tried the Yuzu Mojito. A little too minty for my taste, but again good enough for me to comeback and try a different mojito. I would recommend this place. read more
