We usually go to Coburg Rd. but happened to be in Springfield and decided to visit Olympic. The food was amazing as always but I was pretty grossed out by the condition of the restaurant. The baseboards all look like they have black mold or something on them and the entire floor was so sticky. Gross, dirty tables and it wasn't busy when we were there. One bathroom was out of order (no biggie, that happens) but the other one was filthy and smelled like urine. Will probably stick with Coburg from now on. read more

I don't quite know what to think about this place. Good location and fast service are pluses. I had the beef and rice and it was so-so. Plain rice with salty beef, not so great. I was surprised by the macaroni salad though. I'm not a mayonaise fan but it was good and buttery tasting. Delicious beef teriyaki, as they call kekoas. It was thin and crispy and full of delcious flavor. It was served with traditional white rice and Mac salad. The Mac salad was fine. My fiance LOVED it. I thought it was lacking in flavor except for pepper. It could benefit from additional acid. We also got the huli huli plate, also served with rice and Mac salad. The chicken was tender, delicious and flavorful but would have benefited from some extra texture. The dished overall could have benefited from some cabbage salad. They have three portion sizes, dakine (small), regular, and alii (large). We got large portions which was enough for two meals for each of us or four total meals for less than $25. We called in our order while in Eugene and we're told 15 minutes. When we arrived we stood in line 10 minutes to pay and pick up; however, our goo was not ready. We waited another 25 minutes while people who came in after us received their food and left. I finally approached the young girl behind the counter on our behalf as well as another woman who had been waiting for her good longer than us. She went in the bask to check our orders to which the gals food came up and ours shortly thereafter. When I asked her why it took so long when we had called it in she simply said " I don't know I just work behind the counter " I would not recommend this location as the service was awful!! Don't go if you're in a hurry! I called my order in so it would be ready when I got there. I was told fifteen minutes. I got there in 17 minutes, I was 3rd in line to pay and was told it would just be a minute they were working on it. Five people got their orders, then people who ordered after I had been there for ten minutes were getting their food. All in all from the time I placed my call till the time I received my order, 42 minutes. Won't go back! I will drive all the way to coburg Rd. They make a mean Mac salad, teriyaki chicken, and have really good portion sizing as well. Another thing is the food always tastes fresh and the staff usually has a really good attitude as well, even in the middle of a rush. It was OK not quite like any of the other Hawaiian type restaurants. The mac salad failed miserably cause the islanders take pride in making the best. Worst Hawaiian food in lane county, I won't even eat there again it is so bad. I have even tried it a few times and at different locations. I like Kona cafe Springfield for best food for price. Ron's island grill has great food but a little more expensive, Hodge Podge has good food. My girlfriend called in an order and when we got there she was told we called another location. After checking the phone number we were at the right location and the girl telling us this was the one who took our order. She was rude to my girlfriend and wasn't helpful at all. When I got home to eat my food it was the wrong order completely so I returned to the store. It was the same girl at the counter and I explain that my order was wrong. She stated "that is definitely our chicken and I told your girlfriend we were out of the sauce you wanted, if we remake it then it's going to be the exact same thing". We were not told that they were out of the sauce and instead of apologizing (like those of us that have worked in the food service industry know to) she was yet again rude to me this time. I was given the wrong order again but had no patients left to stay there. Other customers were upset by her behavior and came to speak to me after witnessing what happened. I will be calling management in the morning to report my experience. Do not deal with the girl with snake bite piercings she is horrible. read more

Fantastic place! Very warm and friendly employees. The cashier is always willing to help figure out the menu, as it can be quite confusing at first glance. Quite a bit of seating for a Hawaiian Time. I am always amazed by the food here. I have tried most of the meats they offer, the most popular one being Huli Huli. They always taste fresh! Mona Loa chicken is the best. Wife and daughter love the #5 with beef - they love the lightly cooked veggies. Wish I could buy the sauce they use on the Mona Loa chicken - it's sweet but a little spicy also. This was one of my favorite places. I always order the same thing. My last visit I ordered my same thing and one for my friend. When they told me the price I was shocked. 28.00 for two items. Wow when I explained that I've never paid that much they said that's the price. I paid and left then when we ate the food was the worst . Again I order the same thing sometimes 2 times a week. I know what it tastes like. Not sure what happened but that was 2 strikes in one day. Don't think I will be coming back. Sorry I am very sad. read more
