I've had this place about 5 times- with that being said I have enjoyed every drink here! I appreciate how the fruity drinks taste fresh and have real fruit in them! They don't taste powdery. I know some people don't like that you can't change the ice or sugar content but I don't mind. If you think about it you can't change that at other drink places (non boba). I also love how the toppings in the Dragon tea are tasty and easy to eat (unlike other rice I have had in drinks). Cheese drinks have a great flavor and the strawberry matcha is refreshing! The jasmine tea reminds me of Tpumps (if anyone else has had that-yum!) Also the inside is decorated beautifully with modern accents! New tea place that took over quicklys. As someone who use to come to quicklys in bayfair as a teen it was very nostalgic to come back here and drink some tea. Saw that they had hk style milk tea with boba so had to order that cause hk style milk tea is super good if you guys never tried it before. (Sweetened with condense milk instead of sugar). Drink didn't take that long to come out (around 5 min) the boba was super soft and chewy so that's a plus but the milk tea itself had a little too much condense milk flavoring. Granted I tried it at 100 sugar and regular ice. Little too sweet for me but I'm pretty sure at a lower sweet level it would be better. I've been here a couple of times and this place is pretty consistent. Don't expect to be greeted by the staff because they won't. The workers definitely have an attitude problem and it seems like they don't want to work there. Anytime I ask a question about a drink, they seemed annoyed but it. They should work on their customer service skills. Now onto the food, the snacks and tea are really good! I always order the "mango dreamer green tea" and its a very sweet drink. It does tend to have a lot of pulp in it, so if you don't mind that then it's a drink I'd recommend. Their 100% sweetness level is too sweet for me (and I always get 100% at every boba place) so I'd recomendable starting at the next lower sugar amount. Their French fries and popcorn chicken are really good too. It always tastes fresh and well seasoned. They've also been open during this Shelter in place so that's been helpful when I'm craving boba and in that area. Their food and drinks are consistent every time I go so I'd recommend coming here. So come here for tasty snacks and teas, but don't expect any customer service. read more

I really don't like spending a lot of money on liquids that don't contain alcohol. I don't do coffee, I make smoothies at home, and at restaurants if I'm not having a cocktail I have water. I came in on a Tuesday strategically so I could order their Tuesday special of a regular fruit tea and popcorn chicken for 10 bucks. The chicken was excellent and came out piping hot and filled to the brim! The combo was of great value too I definitely felt satisfied with my 10 dollar purchase. The only thing missing was friendly, upbeat service...someone else mentioned on here that service was " no frills" and I think that sums it up perfectly. It is also worth mentioning that they used real fruit!! A lot of mango!!! My bf got the dragon milk tea and theres a weird topping I don't know what that is but I like it!! I had high hopes for Hay Tea because it looked very nice from the outside, but it definitely didn't meet my expectations. 1.) I got the Hong Kong Style Milk Tea and it was sour. I don't know why it was sour, but I think the condensed milk was old or expired. It is supposed to be black tea with condensed milk, but it somehow turned out tasting like expired milk tea. 2.) I also got the Passion and Grapefruit Milk Tea which has great taste but was super sweet even though I order 50% sugar. It was definitely a good fruit tea but there was way too much sugar for 50%. Overall, I wish I had a better first impression for Hay Tea and hopefully they can check if their condensed milk is expired or not. read more
