This was the most traumatic experience of my life. I had bed bugs. James the owner was so nasty and disrespectful. He made a traumatic experience even worse by not explaining the process at all. I honestly could not give a higher recommendation for HeatRx. My bed bug situation started about a month or two ago when my roommate announced that he suspected he had bed bugs. My roommate wanted to go with the cheapest option at the time because we fully underestimated the severity of a bed bug infestation. The guy we got was extremely ineffective and we found out that he had fake Google reviews, was unlicensed, and wanted cash up front before doing any work. I hired Heatrx to take care of a bug issue I was having at my business. They came for months and I continued to pay them. They kept saying that I needed to be patient and it would get better. It never did so I got rid of Heatrx and hired a local company to deal with my issue. The other company took care of it right away. Waking up in the middle of the night to one of your children saying "something is crawling on me," is an experience I don't wish on anyone. Unfortunately it happened to me. Its midnight on a weekend and this is something I've never dealt with, more then that I'm not yet equipped to deal with lol. My fiance is screaming, the kid's in the room are waking up looking at me to solve this. At the time, I don't even know what they are. I called the first 25 hour service I can find online. They were no help, I call the next bug service onlin... they tell me someone can come out in a week.... A WEEK, I'll burn the house down in a week, but fine..sign me up. I call one more place.... HeatRX. James picks up and tells me firstly, you're ok. We can and will handle this, these are your options. Those three statements were EVERYTHING. I was able to keep control and work on controlling my family. After explaining our options we went the heat treatment route. Right after New Year's we discovered that we have bed bugs. (Happy New Year!) This being our first experience with these demon spawn, we initially, foolishly, thought we could handle the problem ourselves. After a weekend of DIY attempts and then finding a bed bug walking across clean sheets the next day, we knew the problem was beyond us. After researching companies, we went with HeatRx based on the many 5-star reviews they had on Yelp, before the unfortunate wave of poor reviews that have been posted in the last month. While I can't speak to these recent negative reviews, I can say that in our experience, everyone at HeatRx has been great. From day one, they have been responsive, quick to take action, thorough, and they have absolutely honored their guarantees thus far. Although I believe our infestation was relatively mild, it took awhile eradicate them, and HeatRx kept coming back to our house and providing re-services and treatments without any additional cost beyond what we originally paid. About a year ago we were horrified by finding bed bugs in our new apartment. Luckily, my Landlord called HeatRx and because of their completely effective treatments, we have been bug free for months and didn't have to get rid of our very expensive bed (purchased because of an injury, I was devastated at the thought of throwing it out!!). When we suspected bed bugs, we tried to treat the house on our own with various sprays, tape, traps, mattress covers etc. Everything was good for about a week until the bites started up again (presumably when new eggs started hatching! ah!!!). This is when I went online and read other people's reviews about how they tried to eradicate the bed bugs on their own for months on end. I felt like I couldn't go through that bc my parents were coming to stay with us and I just needed it to be done with. We called HeatRx to come for a free inspection and they came almost right away. The treatment was expensive but so far we are 1 month out and haven't had any new bites. They came back for a reinspection about a week later, included in the price. We called HeatRx when we suspected we had a bedbug problem, and they sent a technician right away to check it out. James was punctual, courteous and very thorough in searching our house. He concluded we did not have bedbugs but recommended we have a rodent control specialist look for rodent mites. He recommended a local company and had them contact us; after their inspection we set up a treatment plan to eliminate the mites. You definitely want to shop around before you go with this bunch. We recently paid them over $2500 for infestation eradication and now need to find another provider - to kill the bugs! Their rep came to the house, quoted their high price, told us how great and thorough it was but gave us no preparatory information at all except to remove all the art in the house to the garage - didn't mention plants which were wll killed in the process. When we arrived home the day of the treatment, (it took over eight hours) the house looked as though it had been ransacked - things thrown on the floor, furniture pushed to the middle of the room - an unbelievable mess. We are still fraught with bugs. What's more, their web page says their process kills with heat which is not the case. They spray the lower perimeter of every room with an unidentified chemical. Unless you are willing to be to surprised, disappointed and to spend a lot of time and effort disassembling and reassembling your rooms, and KEEPING YOUR BUGS, call someone else.
