Every single part of the process with HeatRX has been ABOVE AND BEYOND. James and his team - Joyce and Sara were prompt, sensitive to the situation, thorough, reliable, patient and hard working. I called on a Friday and they had Joyce and Becca (the beagle who sniffs out the presence of bugs) out first thing Saturday AM. They did their job and did it well. And Joyce is lovely. I was horrified to know that Becca had confirmed what is now a big fear of mine, Bed Bugs. I was extremely upset and anxious about their presence in my home. They reassured me it was not a bad infestation. But something about knowing those bugs were in my home felt violating. I couldn't sleep or eat. I had a severe reaction to what isn't the end of the world, but sure felt like it. How could I go back to work and take care of patients with this in my safe place? James came out that Wednesday. I hadn't slept in a week. I was sobbing when he arrived right on time. He told me the plan, he was so understanding and matter of fact that he was going to fix this problem. You do have to prep a bit- but the instructions are clear and concise. I will never understand how and why this shook me to my core, but I do know that James, Joyce, Becca and Sara saved me. Ok something no one wants to have: bedbugs! My building has been under construction the whole year. I had bedbugs and was given a false negative by one company and had to endure another month of getting bitten and being allergic to the bug bites. I finally saw one myself and that company(I'm not naming) came back and found that I did have them and I got treated three separate times over the course of six months and they never went away. I got rid of furniture / my bed my couch. Finally, I found heat RX on my own. They don't use traditional methods like every other company. We had a good experience with HeatRx. The most important part was that they did exactly what they said they would do - show up and bake out the bedbugs. We didn't need an inspection - the day before I called I saw a bedbug climbing up the bedroom curtain. James was quick to respond to my call and answered my questions. The prep was a big deal for us - we have a lot of stuff in our house including old books, papers and art that we wouldn't want exposed to high heat as well as trying to find all of the flammable or meltable items in our house. Once the prep was done, the actual service was smooth. They brought heaters and fans, heating up the whole house with a focus on the bedroom. Afterwards, they showed up photos of the heat sensor confirming that the temperature in the bedrooms exceed the kill levels. Afterwards, we weren't sure that they got all of the bedbugs since I was still have bites/itchy spots show up on my skin. It took a few tries to get the follow-up spray scheduled but it seemed to help. Still getting mild bites, we paid for a canine inspection which confirmed that there were no live bedbugs in the house and then had a regular pest inspector who identified that we also had problems with carpet beetles and dust mites. Fogging for that eliminate the last of our problems. Note that none of this was HeatRx's fault - their heat treatment plus follow up really did take care of bedbugs far faster than any conventional treatment. read more

I was paranoid I had bed bugs, but Heatrx came and Brennan was very reassuring at explaining he found no evidence of bed bugs on my mattress. Turns out what was found was carpet beetles. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! TLDR; They came unprepared, underestimated the situation, did not proceed as outlined in the contract/agreement, did not respect their warranty, then ghosted/ignored for multiple months. Do not waste your time and money! Waste of $2000 dollars on an unprofessional heat treatment. I am not sure where to even start. Red flags were everywhere from the unprofessional and clearly inexperienced technicians to emails taking 1 month to reply. They did not heat the apartment as outlined in the agreement, they did not cover the whole place and tried to localize it because "they knew that the pests would not make it to X or Y" but clearly they were wrong. They require a useless $200 dog inspection which did not return anything but given the hard evidence of pests they had to bill it as "light infestation" which might explain why they took it lightly and did not even respect their own pre-treatment prep. At the end, they did not respect their warranty and ghosted us for 2 months at the time of writing this. Extremely disappointed after paying 2 grands with the promise of a final treatment. PS: Note how many of the positive reviews are either false positives (no bed bugs) or failed heat treatments that required a 2nd or 3rd chemical treatment. That should tell you all. read more

They said it would be a year guarantee and in the first treatment they did we still found some and they said that they would be gone in a week. Time passed and there were more than they use to be. At last we did 4 treatments and they weren't gone. They said they weren't going anymore because our year was over when it wasn't true and we were barely half way through. So if you want to get ripped off go ahead and call this company. We spend $1,000+ for them to rip us off and their saying they did more treatments than they were supposed to. If you're a homeowner or a property manager there are so many reasons why I would recommend you call HeatRX first. They are prompt and professional. Every time I call HeatRX, Cody or James comes out to inspect the next day, if not the same day. If a treatment is needed they are able to get the treatment on the schedule within two weeks. The best part is I don't have to constantly call them to get a treatment date - James calls right away. Not all companies offer a 6 month warranty. In fact most companies will blame the tenant for their ill preparation and charge for another heat treatment. HeatRX KNOWS what they're doing and gets rid of the problem in one treatment. HeatRX charges significantly less than other companies. Plus the inspections are free. Most companies will charge for the initial inspection, adjacent unit inspections (in apartment complexes) and post treatment inspections. I am going to start by saying we did not end up hiring this company. So why the five star review? I called this company in a panic after concern for bed bugs. My call was immediately answered by a real person who calmed me down and addressed all my concerns. I have young children so I was worried about any type of toxic chemical- these concerns were immediately addressed and she even offered to send me additioral reading materials so I would feel comfortable. After explaining our situation, she offered to have the company ID the picture of the bug I was concerned about. I send these photos via a text and they were able to identify it so quickly- I was honestly amazed. They confirmed it was NOT a bed bug and even gave us an opinion on what it was. They gave us information to find a solution to take care of it. I was so impressed with their honesty especially because it meant not getting our business for BB removal. It is so rare these days to find companies with honest business practices. If I were to have someone in my home, having a company that is honest is my number one priority. Instead of writing me a clearance, she wrote the following: The client was using over the counter products and make detection very hard. Recommend using canine inspection and a precautionary treatment. The cost of a precautionary is 495.00. The canine inspection cost is around 175.00.
