Short review: Disappointing, quality has gone downhill Long review: I used to love Hefty Gyros after trying them 6 years ago. Their gyros were excellent (tasty, very fresh bread, fries well cooked). I haven't eaten there for a while because they stopped posting their location on Facebook. I was very excited to eat again after at least a year, even after I already ate lunch. When I got there they had sold out of the regular gyro and only had chicken. Very disappointing for the following reasons: 1. Fries were lukewarm and limp 2. The spicy sauce they used didn't taste very good and there was too much of it on the fries 3. They used to have crinkle cut fries and now they are shoestring 4. The chicken was dry despite being drenched in hot sauce 5. Pricey, $20 for a gyro, fries and drink I'm hoping this was just a one off bad meal. Also they might get more business by posting their location on Facebook as well as not everyone uses Instagram. read more

There were no problems with customer service. It was a very quick transaction as I just ordered, paid, and the food came out instantly. The flavors werespot on, delicious! The service was efficient and friendly, graciously asking if I would like extra onion as well as some falafel added in! The server was exceptionally congenial thanking me for coming by and later, as I passed by, even asking me how my meal was and again thanking me for coming in! I got the falafel pita which was $12. It included falafel, pita, lettuce, cucumbers, bell peppers, and tzatziki sauce. The pita was thick and not thin compared to other places. The falafel was good and not dry. The falafel balls where triangular shaped which was a first for me. It was also bigger and more of it than I expected. If you're looking for a good amount of protein in your wrap, then this place is right for you. I also got the baklava which was $3. It was the best part and not too sweet. Con: Preferably, I would have liked more veggies to balance the amount of protein. I also think it's important to add the prices next to the food items to give more transparency. When I asked for my pita and baklava, the guy asked me if I wanted a drink too. I said no and he said with the meal combo it would be $16 with 2 baklavas. As we have a severe latex allergy, when food service is wearing suspect gloves, we request to see the box from which they came. We went to try the food truck at our local winery. They were using latex gloves to handle the food which we pointed out was in violation of health codes. They did not believe us because they "bought the gloves from restaurant supply."
