My only reasoning for two stars is because our truck looks great. We brought it here for repairs due to an insurance claim and I can honestly say that we will never come back. Joe Lopez in the collision center has to be one of the most unpleasant and rude individuals we have ever come across. The truck already had some damage in the same area that needed to be repaired, but it wasn't bad enough to justify it before. Joe called after looking at the truck and was quite disrespectful and asking exactly what needed to be fixed because the whole thing looked bad. It wasn't a bad question, but there were 1 million nicer ways to ask it. He was lazy, and did not want to order the parts necessary because he could not find it in the catalog that they would have received a profit from. My husband knows cars and Joe was incredibly condescending to him even though he knew what he was talking about. Overall, the collision mechanics did a great job on the repairs and the rental car department with enterprise was great, but Joe is the reason we will tell everyone to steer clear if they can. read more

If, - God forbid - you are ever in a car accident, DON'T take your car to Helfman Ford's body shop. Our car has been there almost FOUR weeks on a job we were originally told would take two. Sadly, they can't even seem to come up with a good excuse for the delays. We've received the same one 4 times in a row ... "Infinity sent us the wrong parts". SERIOUSLY? FOUR TIMES? Not once have they offered a different explanation or taken any responsibilities for the delays. I tried speaking to a manager, but their standard response is to point out my ignorance in the fine details of their work. This is by far the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a car dealership. I bought a 2015 ford focus and after about a week noticed the transmission would shutter. Finally, after months of going back and forth they ended up telling me that Ford knows about the problem but wont fix it and there is nothing they can do. I purchased a new car here. Took it back first time to get windows tinted. They gave me a filthy dirty car to use while they tinted windows. Took car back today for first service check. I tried to use their on-line appointment service. Forget it! No record of my appointment. I called yesterday to verify I had appointment. They set it up then for 12:30. Arrived at 12:15 and told them I need a first time oil change, tires rotated, and please look at my back seat that wouldn't fold down. I was told it would take one hour. After waiting an hour, I glanced outside and there sat my car. It appeared it hadn't even been touched. I tried to locate my service person and he wasn't around. Another person helped me and told me they hadn't touched my car yet. They decided to give me a rental car. Went over to rental place, no cars. About this time the service person drove up with my car. He told me the oil change and tire rotating was complete and the part was on order and would take 4 - 5 weeks. Never once did the service manager come talk to me or aplogoize for one hand not knowing what the other hand was doing! I previously owned a Lexus who has outstanding customer service. Helfman Ford's comment to me was "we sell cheaper cars, so we don't have customer service like that". They don't seem concerned that customers will not be bringing their cars back in for service. Worse customer service I have ever seen. I'm getting my seat fixed and finding another place to take my car for service! read more

Their Quick Lane service has been very fast 2 out of 2 times. Today they asked me if I will be leaving my car there or waiting. I asked them if there is a reasonable wait time. They told me about 45 minutes. He asked if I need my tires rotated. I asked him what he thinks. Just as I remembered that I got brand new tires, he told me they look good and I don't need it. I think a lot of mechanics aggressively encourage rotating tires to make an extra $15-20 but they chose to be honest. He told me everything would cost about $40 (and this was accurate). The whole thing took less than 40 minutes and costed $40 plus tax. They exceeded my expectations. Also good coffee, clean bathrooms, lots of recliner chairs, flat screen TV playing "The Chew" and a monitor that shows cameras on the cars being worked on. read more

Michael Hungate was great to work with in finding us a new transit for our work van when no other dealerships had any stock available. They were able to get all the accessories sorted for the same day the van arrived and had it ready the following day thanks to Sal and kevin it was an all around very easy and good experience. Purchased a new F150 from Helfman mid Oct and took it to get the windows tinted a week or so later. The tinting company manager told me they tried tinting it a few times but the window glass was actually scratched. It was one of those things that when you're buying the car and looking around to make sure it's fine you don't really stare at the glass too much so it didn't show up until it was tinted. I called Tony Rushing, the fleet manager I bought it from and he never returned my call. I'd called him previously about my license plates he said they'd mailed to me and It was at the 3 week point and they were due to expire. Then he didn't return my call either. I finally had to call him again and just happened to catch him answering when he explained there was a family emergency or something about going out of town or something. So, this time I call Mr Rushing twice about the scratches windiw and he never calls me back. I decide to call the main number, explain to someone he never calls me back and I would like to get someone to help me with the drivers window issue . Long story short, I bring it the 45 min ride for them to take pictures and Mr. Rushing goes into the service dept to get another gentleman to come out and look at the glass with him. I showed him the issue, told him if you goggle the drivers side glass scratches on the F150xlt there are other complaints. It's due to super fine dust/rock particles that once the window is rolled up , scratches the glass. Both men look at it closely and say it's the tint that's scratched and not the glass! They pointed out to me that it was obvious to them that the scratches are between the glass & tint and that I paid 5k in this tint company to do all kinds of upgrades on my truck and tint is "probably no more then 7 bucks to tint and it's pretty lousy of them that I've given them this money and they won't just pull it off and retint it'. So, these guys I'm assuming would KNOW their product and I'm annoyed at the tint company. I drive 45 min back and tell the tint company manager what they said and now he tells me... they took the tint OFF! So, these two men at Helfman Ford were studying this window and there wasn't even tint in it!! The tint company peeled it off and it was just the lightly tinted window that were stock on the truck! Mr Rushing the fleet manager and the other guy didn't even know they weren't looking at scratched tint, they were looking at the scratches window that I bought that way!!! Reid Rolinson, the manager at ALLOUT OFF-ROAD Performance is now annoyed god good reason so he calls Mr Rushing, who never bothers to return his voicemail either. I call Mr. Rushing who for now the 4th or5th time doesn't bother returning my call. In the end, I spend 35k on a truck and their customer service was LOUSY because the truck was out the door. Mr. Reid from ALLOUT in Spring, where I only invested 5k took it upon himself to have the window replaced, window tinted and he picked up the cost of it. GREAT customer service! I would not recommend Helfman Ford in Stafford, TX and certainly not suggest the salesman Tony Rushing who wants to sell you the car but can't be bothered once you're out the door. read more

Took my truck in the morning for an oil change. Guy that met me was not very friendly and when asked about cost of oil change did not seem definite. Also when I asked about a rebate or complimentary wash he said the machine was down. That was just the start of things. When I my truck was completed I was greeted with an oily foot print on my floor mat, a stain on my driver seat, and a greasy elbow print on my driver door armrest. To say the least this does not make a happy customer especially one that just spent 3 hours detailing the interior 48 hours ago. I was in need of the oil change as I am leaving on a road trip and my regular dealership is out of the way, but never again, I will make time to get to my regular dealer. I will not be back and will not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

I was in the market for a used expedition El limited. I found one online and called my bank's relationship salesman, Marcus Warren. He is primarily a new car salesman, but took my case himself without pushing me to the used car side. Great customer service, even let me take the car home for the night so my wife could see and drive it. No back and forth and uncomfortable negotiations. He asked what price I wanted, I told him, and we closed the deal. Anyway, I got great value on the expedition, good value on the trade and a great customer experience. There was a small issue with the sun roof and they are taking care of it immediately. Marcus even offered to drive the car out 35 miles to my house when it was ready to drop it off. Eric Helfmam, the founder's grandson, also took time to talk with me and the whole sales team seemed very nice from the way I heard them talking to other customers. They really treated me like family and I'm already planning to get my next car there. read more

The place is horrible! The only reason why it got one star is because I do like the car that I purchased. I had to bring the car back less than a week later to be serviced. My salesman Shawn told me to come back at 1pm to get everything done. Long story just it as near 6pm before the car was done. No one knows how to communicate there. Jack Lowe and Scott Easley were great to work with. I called Scott when I saw the vehicle I was interested in on their site and he made sure it was still available, then called me back. I went down later that day and test drove the car with my husband. It was exactly what I wanted and we began the purchase process. The price was lower than other dealerships and no "funny business" on figures or switching out tax credits when not available on my lease turn in though other dealerships were trying to do that. My car was serviced at Helfman Ford where they did a recall that required to replace the cylinder head, however they damaged a thread on the engine block and concealed it with some sort of silicone so it wouldn't leak, as you would expect eventually it started leaking and when I took it to the dealership near my home in Austin TX they found the eastern egg left by them and now my car requires a new engine block. So I called Helfman Ford and talked to the Service manager he just said "I don't know what could have happened in a year" so he just washed his hands and left it at that. Now I don't know anybody that would mess like that with a car that still under warranty, every record show that there was only 1 oil change since the repair (mind that this is a very low mileage vehicle there is only about 8000 since the repair). Helfman Ford replaced the cylinder head 4/22/19 Cylinder head replacement requires removing the turbocharger.    To remove the turbocharger, it is required to remove this tube - repair instructions state to discard (replace with new part during reassembly). read more

Here is the rundown of how my rating fell to two stars: 1. Quick response from internet team. Plus 2. Called me to setup my "VIP" appointment. Plus 3. Arrived and was greeted then walked inside where the employee yelled to the salesman and pointed to me " you got one here" he says. NOt quite VIP but no biggie. Minus .25 4. Walked back to lot and was shown the most expensive trucks the have, only 15-17K out of my price range and not at all what we discussed. Minus 1 point 5. Test drive was the over priced truck that was filthy could barely see through windsheild. Minus half point. 6. Second test was in more expensive truck that was even more filthy (these are ne vehicles I'm driving ), my girlfriend said she saw ashes were she was sitting in the truck. Minus 7. They tried to knock my head off for my trade, expected! no deduction. 8. Showroom office smelled of smoke and thats not cool. Minus 9. After repeated attempts to negotiate I explained what I wanted exactly, after being pitched on the truck that I didn't care for ( most expensive of course). Minus 10. I explained before leaving that I would be interested in negotiating a vehicle that costs less and to locate that vehicle and call me. 11. Heard from the Helfman survey team the next day to ask about my experience. When I gave bad reviews they quickly thanked me and disconnected. Never heard back from them. I do understand that it is a business and they need to make money but I was quickly turned off by the method in which they conducted it. read more

He truly wanted to help us find what we were looking for in an f150. Answered all our questions and concerns throughout the whole process. I'll never buy another vehicle there again, the used car sales manager is a cheapskate. I purchased a used 07 Toyota FJ Cruiser there and took it for a ride and to have my mechanic give me his opinion. All was fine and went ahead and made the deal. Next day, I go for a drive and get a flat tire. To my surprise and dismay when I take the spare tire cover off, I find its locked and I was not given a key. I had to pay a tow truck to take me to a tire shop to have them break this lock off. Next day I go to Helfman to complain about this missing key and to have them pay for my tow and a new lock and key for my spare. Cheapskate manager said no and that it was not his fault, and that I should have paid more attention when I bought my car! Can you belive this BS! The guy who sold me the car was embarrassed and offered to pay out of his pocket, but I would not make him do it. Said thank you and good bye Helfman Ford. You will never have me come back again, please replace this SOB used car salesman manager if you want to have any return customers again! read more

Went to Helfman today for a part. I explained that I was having an issue with my turn signal and was happy that the relay was easy to unplug and install. I purchased the part then went out the door for 1 min( yes 1 min) and then was told the part was unreturnable!! I was gonna buy another part but now will never buy anything there again. I asked to speak to the parts a manger but of course he was missing or out to lunch, whatever. I'll be sure to tell everyone I know about my experience and the poor customer service I got. This is my second yelp review of all time, but damn their collision center is worthless. I had to take it in 3 times, to get the same thing fixed. (Knock on wood) Each time I took it in, there were more scratches on my car and my repairs were half assed. Long story short if I pay a lot of money for something, it better be completed 100 percent and not half assed. Joe Lopez is a coward and has the personality of a used car salesman, doesn't know anything. Ive been up and down and all around Houston searching for a car dealership. I was looking for my first car and I set my sights on a Honda Element, but would settle for a Ford sedan or a fuel efficient compact sedan. When I came to Helfman I was looking at the Taurus but soon spotted an Element! I looked into a couple of other cars but I thought I was set on the Element. I met Lee while I was looking and chatted about what I wanted and my experience as a first time buyer. I knew Lee was different immediately. He was in no rush to sell me a car and he didn't pressure me into having to make a decision. In fact, I walked away from the element, thought about it, test drove another car and then realize what I was looking for was all wrong. I reevaluated my criteria and came back. Lee showed me a 2010 Ford Focus that just came in and it was awesome. We looked into the price and was able to get something in my criteria. From there Lee helped coordinate my financing with my credit union. HOWEVER, Like Geoffrey mentioned there was this guy in financing who was overbearing and rushing for me to sign. I felt uncomfortable and skeptical of the deal. However lee reassured me by letting me know he usually tries to avoid sending his customers to him and everyone else was busy. The gentleman came off very harsh and I felt dominated by his presence. But Lee, didn't let that sway me from my overall experience. He pledged to help me with little issues I have had with the car. I took away a great car buying experience, a good car, and an even better contact with Lee. read more

I have never been here but I'm calling in the morning to complain about their driver. He was riding my bumper and ideas doing the speed limit and he had his bright lights on. He finally gets in the other lane and was definitely breaking the speed limit . He slowed down somewhere because the speed went up to 55 and I was behind him and he kept slamming his brakes and coming to a complete stop like a raging lunatic. I'm glad I don't drive like him. Don't even know where to start. From when I walked in I felt at ease and at home. Ryan T. was excellent at helping me achieving my needs and wants. Treated me like family and was up front about everything. As a female it can be intimidating to purchase a car on your own since we tend to get taken advantage of. This was not the case with Ryan, he made sure I was comfortable like I was talking to my brother or best friend. He went well above and beyond his duties with the sale.
