You can select one dessert and drink for the dessert experience. I would recommend getting one of the tiramisus as the dessert. They were chilled perfectly and pretty tasty. Super small. Cannot sit inside (unless ur in the Bow Room). There are some tables right outside but that section was closed! Why?!!! Got a holiday peppermint iced cold brew and a lemonade. This place was under construction for a few years and it finally opened? I am no stranger to sweets so I only got a matcha drink. To be blunt, it's okay, it's not as good as most people think. In my personal opinion, Hello Kitty Cafe tried to justify its over priced goods with "branding." From what I have tasted and seen, most if not all of the items offered here are just "the usual." First if all, I am a die hard Sanrio Hello kitty fan and this is a must! It is a little pricey at $70 USD for the high tea but I do recommend it. Be sure to make a rezzie on Tock if you want to go. There are plenty of adorable photo worthy desserts and beverages, complete with a wall for all your photo experience needs. To enter the bow room, you need to pay and make a reservation $30/person during the day time and $15/person in the evening. They also offer a separate menu from the regular cafe in the front. Managed to reserve a table for the second day of grand opening. Huge plus to skip the long line, if want to get items from the café. Booked a table for afternoon tea at 1:45, so we arrived half an hour early just in case there was another line to get in. We almost missed taking a photo with Hello Kitty but one of the owners was kind enough to let us know to come back at the right time before Hello Kitty left for the day. Afterwards, the two managers/owners instructed one of the workers to bring us to our table shortly. The bow room itself was kind of small, about 9-10 tables. Waitress was nice & explained the menu but didn't come back to take the order. At some points there were no waitresses present so we would have to wait for service. At least the end of the visit, one of the waitresses asked if everything was ok. The food itself was good and filling. Apparently the egg salad is house-made. The scone was a bit dry though. We were able to take the items we couldn't finish, to-go. What a spectacular find in the San Francisco area! It was easy to find an open reservation for the afternoon tea or dinner dessert. They're very upfront on how much the total is going to be, that there's an 18% mandatory gratuity tip, and that half of the total is due at the time of making the reservation. They also explicitly explain what's on each menu, what you're going to receive, and which items have different options. Yeah it's a little pricey, but when they're transparent with everything AND for the Hello Kitty theme itself it makes it all worth it! I'm 42. I grew up loving Sanrio/Hello Kitty. I was excited that they opened space at valley fair. My niece asked to go and I obliged. Made the reservation online and paid $70 for the deposit. No where on the site does it disclose the remaining balance or what to expect for the fee. On the day of our reservation we were seated right away and the service was great. The tea was decent, the food while tasty I do not think it was worth the final price. For the two of us including the deposit I paid $180 for the both of us. Up to you if you'd like to try this. Like many of the reviews here, the Hello Kitty Cafe is cute for the aesthetic and underwhelming for the food. I guess you're really paying for the HK themed food and cutlery. When we arrived, there was a sign that said to wait for someone to check you into the reservation. We weren't sure if we could enter through on our own since the signs said to wait. It's really cute inside and everything is HK themed, even down to the sugar cube. They had pretty standard tea options, nothing spectacular. Their sweet and savory options were decent. It was interesting because the staff told us which ones weren't a fan favorite and which ones were, but the one we liked the most was the non fan favorite. The scones were hard and cold so they were difficult to enjoy. The serving size is also much smaller than typical afternoon tea places. What a cute little shop inside Valley Fair Mall! There are lots of cute decorations that draw in visitors, independent of whether or not they're actually ordering. Even the food has cute, designs, and patterns, fitting with the hello Kitty theme. The service was also pretty fast, considering the crowd that was present. They also have a "Bow Room" that you can access with a prior reservation, for high tea in the afternoon or some light snacks in the evenings (see pictures for details). While we didn't have any reservations this time, we may go back in the future for this experience! If you don't have reservations for the Bow Room, there aren't really places to sit within the store, so you'll want to get takeout. However, there are many places to sit with within the mall. The closest parking to this location is likely the Stevens Creek garage, and enter entering on the second floor, next to the Starbucks. read more

This cafe is SO FRIGGEN ADORABLE!! I am a big hello kitty fan so when I heard this new cafe opened up in the Bay Area I couldn't wait to try it!! It's been a hot minute since I found out about it, but today I was in the area and had to stop by to check it out. It is inside the huge mall of Vallyfair Mall up on the second floor. You will have to look for directions to it as the mall can get super lost inside. Once you find it you can't miss it! They have some cute little treats. We tried the donuts with the cinnamon topping and they were so yummy! They are on display in the front, so you have to specifically ask for them. Their drinks are on the sweeter side so I just got a less sweet coffee with the foam which they made a cute design for me. Love love the backdrops for photos too! Ended up picking up a cute little mug for my oldest daughter too, as well as a box of macarons for my kids. I wouldn't say they have the best treats but they are unique with the hello kitty touch. The people working there are super friendly and helpful too. I personally wouldn't go here just for the sweets though as they are VERY much on the sugar side. But the donuts were a good in between!
