We went here before our airport trip and the food took soooo long. Our server was nice and sweet but man the food was backed up. We had a fantastic experience here on multiple occasions. It kinda seems the "employee-owned" thing really makes for a great restaurant experience. Food came out lightning fast, we were able to get a table quickly, and servers checked in the perfect amount. They were there when drinks were about half-way empty and gave a couple check-ins throughout the meal to ensure we didn't need anything. I really thought this place would be slammed and we'd be at an hour's wait if we wanted to go, but we were able to get a two-person table seated instantly even during dinner and lunch hours. Food was great. Drinks were phenomenal. And the supportive, friendly atmosphere was seriously A+. Love the humor and vibe here. In fact, our 3 experiences were so astoundingly, over-the-top perfect that we chose not to come back here a 4th time just in case we somehow could jinx it. What a fun place to go for brunch on a Saturday! The Other Deb™ and I came here for my birthday brunch and it knocked my socks off. Tip: Make a reservation! There were about 50 people waiting to get in at 11:30 on Saturday. First, our server LJ was an absolute delight. We ordered the Bloody bar to start and she brought us our vodka shots and a card to give the bar manager. I sipped the vodka and it was nice and peppery! When you give your card to the manager you're told how it works: Choose your mix (I went with the house blend which was delicious and spicy); using skewers add as many items as you can fit in your glass. So there are wings, olives, cheeses, meat chunks, shrimp, peppers, sausage bread, cucumbers, and more. The other side is the mimosa bar and filled with sweets like mini donuts, gummy worms, and other candies. Having loaded our bloodies with snacks we ordered lunch. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for Deb, Eggs Benny and one Lemon Ricotta pancake for me. Those pancakes melted in my mouth. They are topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar and the berries provide a nice burst of freshness with the rich pancakes. I will say I was not in love with the Eggs Benny, only because instead of Canadian bacon they use a thick slab of smoked ham that was a little overwhelming for the dish. That said, it did not stop me from eating it all. ;) Finally, LJ brought out a birthday brownie, star-shaped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. It was incredibly rich and delicious. The Valentines decor was everywhere. There are many fun signs and exhibits, even a photo booth that you need to enjoy on your way out. I am here visiting from Washington State and was extremely impressed with Hells Kitchen. I started off with a pink lemonade which was delicious. I then went for the Walleye fish and chips with zesty cole slaw which was phenomenal. First the fish and chips were perfectly battered and paired well with the tartar sauce on the side and were to die for. Then the zesty cole slaw was so good I can't even put words to it. What a great find. The ambiance is amazing with so many crazy signs, decor and interesting furniture etc. we wandered around just to check the place out. They also sell their world famous peanut butter which is better than anything I've ever had. Our waitress Reagan was great. I enjoyed a healthy power salad with grilled chicken. The portion was large. A few people in our group had the fish and chips, and ham and pear crisp grilled sandwich with chips. Definitely check this place out if you are nearby. We had the BEST time at Hell's Kitchen during their helladazzle holiday event. We got there a little earlier than our reservation time, so waited at the bar and had friendly bartenders and chatted with some of the other people at the bar. Drinks were quick and really good. Once we got to our table we were thrilled to be near the live music and our server Patrick was so nice! He provided great recommendations, was fast to bring refills, and generally just a nice dude. This is a fun place, and I loved how nice the employees were. I love that is is employee owned and a local business! The inside was completely decked out for the holidays, and it was very cute inside. The inside is also quite large with a photo booth which we took advantage of! we stopped by during happy hour and the happy hour menu was great. They had both food and beverage options. I tried the mystery beer, which was three dollars and a lot of fun. for food, we tried the grilled cheese with the tomato basil soup and that combination was absolutely delicious. Was visiting MSP for the weekend and was headed to another spot and decided to stop in for lunch. and it was a pleasant experience The place had a cozy, rustic charm with warm lighting and quiet ambiance. I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes and Huevos Rancheros "Of The Gods on a whim, and it was the kind of dishes that makes you pause mid-bite, comfort food elevated. Also had a mocktail, which was peach ginger ale. (Can't remember exactly but it was delicious" The service was relaxed but attentive, with a waiter who seemed genuinely happy to talk about the menu without sounding rehearsed. I would give it another try, as there was a stage for a band, so worth checking out. It wasn't planned, it wasn't fancy--but it ended up being one of the most memorable meals I've had in a while. Decided to stop by here for the first time because of the holiday decorations. It is downtown so street parking will be tough but there's a ramp to park in right at the entrance and it was only $5. Tons of decorations everywhere, so great photo opportunities and they had live music the night I went, so a fun date night. It was packed so I'd suggest making reservations if you can. Waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered drinks and food, drinks weren't too flashy compared to other holiday themes places but they were tasty. Food was fine, I got chicken tenders, so nothing special. The waiter did forget my dates drink, so it didn't come out til after we got our food which was a bummer. On one of our trips to Minneapolis we decided to try Hell's Kitchen since the Vegas is often difficult to get rezy's at. Hell's Kitchen was around the corner from our hotel! Vibes/atmosphere: it's huge! Quirky/artsy vibes. And they have live music even on a Saturday morning! Service was also really good, they don't rush you but things move ad a nice pace. Drinks looked amazing, but we stuck with coffee and it was decent. Our waitress recommended the lemon ricotta pancakes. They were amazingly tender, soft and the flavor was amazing. Hubby and I were looking for a different breakfast/brunch place and we decided on Hell's Kitchen. We arrived just after 10 am and surprisingly didn't want long for a table. We started off with drip coffees which were strong and delicious. I ended up drinking about 3 cups. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs. Hubby ordered the huevos rancheros with maple glazed bison-pork sausage. We added on a single lemon ricotta hotcake to share. I enjoyed my corned beef hash and eggs. I didn't love the celery in it and wouldn't order it that way again. The corned beef was moist and flavorful, eggs were good fried over medium, the housemade jam was very tasty. Hubby's huevos rancheros were bursting with flavor. I loved the lemon ricotta hotcake. Light, refreshing, not overly sweet. Perfectly paired with fresh strawberries and blueberries, topped with maple syrup. I would highly recommend these! The next evening we stopped back in to get dessert. Hubby had the kiss my lips peanut butter chocolate mallow cup and loved it. I got the strawberry cheesecake to-go. I enjoyed it back in our hotel room and it was luscious! Happy new year Yelpers - I had a chance to check out about 5 pop holiday restaurants and bars and this one was one of my favorites. There entire restaurant is decked out in Christmas theme and there are multiple rooms. There were plenty of fun places to take photos. For my entree I got the fish and chips. It came with 3 pieces and I asked for a couple more because I was soo hungry. The filets came out really fresh and had great flavor. Paired well with the tartar sauce. For my drink I got the.... The fried cheese curds and sauce were the best I've ever had so far (we're newer to the midwest). A little sweet and spicy sauce was perfect for dipping. My hubby had ordered some Ranch dressing, too (like they need more fat ha). We also split their ham and pear pannini and fries (which they kindly split onto two plates), but we each wondered if our pear slices ended up on the other half. Nope. This downtown spot serves breakfast all day. I recently went at lunchtime, and we ordered the sausage bread and the lemon ricotta pancakes for the table. The ricotta pancakes are so delicious you don't even need syrup with them. I liked the pancakes better than the sausage bread, which it served with jam and peanut butter. Both servings were giant, and we took leftovers home with us. I also ordered a cup of the sour pf the day and a side Caesar salad. The salad dressing itself was good, but the salad was mostly croutons and shaved parmesan cheese, so I felt like I was hunting for lettuce to eat. Though it wasn't super busy when we went, our food took a while to come out. Four star review, but I would go back to try more food to see if I can bump the stars up. read more

Hells Kitchen is a place that has been prepared for us in the depths below Minneapolis street-level. It is here we become irretrievably lost in the enjoyment of fantastic breakfast and American bar fare with our dates or our families. And though the iconic theming may evoke the Inferno, the temperature is not as hot as you may (or may not) believe. Bottom line: this really is a cool spot with great theming. Menu is standard American burgers and brunch, but everything well prepared and with distinct flare. I mean, you're downtown and figuring out what to eat - a tough decision. With Hell's, you have a "safe bet" as it's familiar food with the aforementioned flare and fun theming. Service was fairly quick, not too busy when we went in. There's a Photo Booth inside offering B&W and Colored film strips, highly recommend! Beers on Tap were good. Burger and Fries were delicious as well! We got the Parmesan Fries and their "House Season" fries, both equally delicious. Lots of dipping sauces (ask for their house sauce)! The breakfast at Hell's Kitchen is far from the devil as it tasted heaven sent. Everyone at the table loved the food and we might have all eaten a little past comfort because it was that good and worth popping that top button on your jeans. The overall decor and vibe was really cool from the entry all the way to the stage near the bar. If I lived in the area I would be checking out the venue schedule as it seems like it would be a rad spot for a show. I was impressed with the service, the bar tender took our drink order and when he got caught up with drink orders another person swung by to take our order. He didn't write anything down but remembered all our substitutions as we each made slight adjustments to the items we ordered. I was impressed that he was able to remember everything and our food came out just as we had requested. I ordered the huevos rancheros and it was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy with the salsa and a great crunch from the tortilla and hash browns. I couldn't help but add guacamole and bison sausage which was delicious and helped me not miss holding the cheese. I'm in town for a conference and Hell's Kitchen came up in conversation I was having with some other attendees. They raved about the brunch they had enjoyed that morning... and given that it was within easy walking distance of the hotel, I decided to check it out myself for dinner. I made a reservation (they highly recommended it), but found that it wasn't that busy when I actually arrived (which might have just been due to the fact that it was 7:30-ish on a Sunday night). The host who showed me to a booth did mention they highly recommend reservations though because it can get quite busy. In terms of food, they have a decent menu. I opted to start with the "Bloody Mary Ceviche" described as "Light and refreshing, yet bold and flavorful. Chopped shrimp with a mix of tomatoes, avocado, onions, scallions, jalapenos, and cilantro tossed in a bloody mary reduction. Served with house-made corn tortilla chips." Unfortunately, I didn't find the ceviche very bold or flavorful. If anything, it was mostly chopped shrimp, avocado, and the chips... with minimal bloody mary reduction. I love a good ceviche, so this was a disappointment. For my actual dinner, I ordered the Quesabirria Tacos, described as "Two grilled corn tortillas filled with a robustly flavored braised bison birria, and shredded cheese. Served with a spicy consommé with onion & cilantro for dipping, side of house-made chips and queso & your choice of house-made salsa." The tacos were very filling (though the meat was a bit fatty for my taste). The spicy consommé was the most delicious part of this particular dish. My server for the night was pleasant enough... though gave off a bit of a "can't be bothered"-vibe. The ambiance of the restaurant is fitting. I loved the various art pieces throughout, and the decor of the place was on theme. There was no live music the night I went, unfortunately, but the stage is eye-catching and provides a very cool vibe for the place. TL;DR Dinner here was fine - maybe brunch is better? It wasn't an especially memorable experience though for anything besides the decor, so I haven't opted to return throughout the rest of my stay in Minneapolis. read more

First off the restaurant is in the basement of a building. Wasn't expecting that but I guess it makes sense? It was also a lot larger than I expected although one side was closed for a wedding while we were there. We were here for brunch and service was great. The staff were super personable and kept checking in. Food wise I ordered the bison Benedict and my brother got the walleye fish and chips. I was sadly disappointed by the Benedict because the egg yolk didn't run which for me is pretty essential for a poached egg on a Benedict. Also the hollandaise was supposedly a tangerine jalapeño hollandaise but I feel like I didn't really get much of those flavors and I was looking forward to the hit of heat. However the hash browns it came with were perfectly cooked. Super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My brother really liked the fried walleye and we both thought the "chips" or fries were really good. I could've eaten basketfuls of those fries. It had been a hot minute since I had been to Hell's Kitchen. Decided to stop in for some appetizers after an afternoon walking around DT. The space was all decorated for the holiday, which was really fun. Got the famous sausage bread and some cheese curds. This is one of few places I break my "no pork" eating for that brrad. If you don't have any meat restrictions in your diet, this stuff is legendary for a reason. I do not know what voodoo magic the cooks do in the kitchen to make this stuff taste so good. It also comes with an orange marmalade, a currant (I think that's what the server said) jelly, and the restaurant's also famous peanut butter. All three toppings are DELICIOUS. You can also get the peanut butter to take home, which I would also recommend. The cheese curds were also lightly crisp and the sauce that was served with those was also delicious. It was close to our hotel and we were really tired. Boy, I was dead wrong. Hell's Kitchen is an excellent pick if you're looking for really good food and service. We were greeted by a really nice guy who sat us right away (It became reservations first and people waiting for tables as the evening progressed). Our server Adam couldn't have been better. He was really down to earth, not pushing drinks or food and gave perfect recommendation's based on what we had a taste for. He was an excellent server and checked on us many times. I liked that he didn't rush our meal. He perfectly timed appetizer and entrees. There was also another guy coming around several times to refill water and beverages. Service was a 10! The food items were all served hot, fresh and handsomely portioned. The artichoke dip had its own twist with warm corn chips. The walleye on the fish & chip dinner came piping hot on a mound of fries. Not a bit greasy, Snow White, freshly beer battered and huge pieces! Homemade tartar sauce rounded it out nicely. We also ordered the beef barbacoa short rib entree on Adam's suggestion. The entree had 3 large pieces of beef in a beautiful sauce atop potatoes. It was packed full of flavors and a little on the spicy side. It was delicious and just melted in your mouth. Everyone's plates around us looked really good too. We had so much food we didn't have room for desert. It was a fun evening there and the guy host that seated us earlier helped me as I bought a T-Shirt on the way out. This is a great place to come for really good food, drinks and down to earth relaxed service. We want to return and try their burgers next. Prices? Big. Drinks? Watered down. Stomach? Aching. Service? Confusing and frustrating. Couldn't keep track of bills or gratuity, we had to go to the bar to get our items rearranged because our server messed it up and my friend was misgendered even though he is bald. My bill was outrageously high WITHOUT the tip and I have concluded I would rather eat at the neighboring Jimmy John's any day of the week. Also the place was dead empty, so I should've taken the warning signs. If you wanna feel like your stomach is in hell, get the Mac and cheese. Just ignore this place altogether. read more
