Stopped here one night for a beer and burger. Service was great. We sat outside as the weather was nice and the outside seating was spacious. It was a weeknight so not packed. The menu had great options and loved that popcorn was an option. My husband and I ordered a burger each and tator tots and fries. Everything was tasty, the beer was ice cold, and our bartender was very kind. Several tvs were on showing different sports which is always a plus for me! Will definitely be back.

Perfect stop when the weather is nice, great patio seating and dog friendly with available dog bowls if you didn't bring your own, and treats for your pets too. Order ahead and get a number, and the food gets brought to you. Parking is not GREAT, but doable, though I can see if it's super busy it being a little problematic. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it got busier after we left. Ordered a few apps: nachos, spicy curds and southwest egg rolls. They also had a brunch menu we just didn't want to eat anything that big. Food tasted good, seemed fresh too! Great place to watch the game, as they had several streaming on different screens.

Came here after a nice dinner across the street. Our original choice for after dinner drinks was closed on Monday so we ended up here. This is a cool little spot off Washington in what looks to have been a house turned bar. I really enjoyed the quirky look of the place as well as the humorous signs all over the place. It looked empty when we walked in, but almost everyone was outside enjoying the space out there. We decided to take a seat inside. Everyone ordered random drinks. I made a basket in the hoop inside so I got a free shit as well. Drinks were just ok. Service was good. I would highly suggest sitting outside as the inside was pretty toasty which made is finish our one drink and hop to the next spot. I would come back if in the area.

LOVE this place. Patio is great. Food is good. Love the cozy neighborhood bar vibes. I do get annoyed about the $5 misc mixer fee per drink so I will just get beer going forward. A tab that could have been $21 for 2 beers & 2 frozen 8 ounce drinks is now $31 excluding tip...

Server was very friendly and nice smile, made you feel very welcome. Patio was great nice a breezy/cool on a typical muggy Houston afternoon. Burgers cook to perfection, full of flavor. Onion rings homemade with a crispy batter, top 5 onion rings in Houston.

Super chilled laid back environment. The food: corn dogs-good not really hard to mess up. Cheeseburger quesadilla w/tots- the tots needed to be cooked longer and the quesadilla was a little dry. Perhaps it just needed more mustard on it. Southwest burger w/tots-very juicy, onions and mushrooms where cooked great and was the perfect amount. The buns did need to be a little more crisper along with the tots. Our server had a bit of an attitude and wasn't all that friendly. Over all we would go back!

Great place to come with some friends, hangout, relax, have some great food and drinks! Everything we got from the food to drinks were really good and we definitely plan on coming back. Bartender was kind and fast as well!

As good as it gets! I've been to this establishment many times and I don't know why I'm just now leaving a review. Henderson Heights is a really cool little gem on Washington avenue. They have a large sitting area outside that's perfect if you have a large party. Some of our friends have had their engagement party here as well as a guys baby diaper dump (Men's version of a baby shower). The inside isn't as roomy, it can get a little snug later on at night, but never the less I always have a good time here. Their drinks are nice and they have a food menu in the event you get the munchies. All in all, with pleasant staff, good food and drinks along with accommodating space inside and out I found no reason to give this place anything less than 5 stars.

Stumbled upon this neighborhood spot while looking for a good happy hour. Cocktails were $6 and there was a wide selection. They were nothing special, but a great deal nonetheless. We ordered some popcorn chicken tossed in Buffalo sauce. It took probably 20 minutes for them to arrive, and when you bit into them, you could just tell how fake and frozen they were. The inside resembled a McDonald's chicken nugget. They tasted ok, but for $10 per basket, I was not pleased. The place itself is very cool and the bartender was kind. Good lowkey spot to watch sports

Great restoration after the fire. Patio is nicer than ever covered and covered areas. Menu is new with flat bread pizza options. Dog friendly.

You wouldn't think a Wednesday evening at a bar would be a fun date with your 9 yr old, but you would be wrong. Wine was $5 a glass and I was happy with my choice. We didn't try steak night but opted for burgers and melts and weren't disappointed. While we waited we played board games the bar has in the corner, which sparked great conversation about a girl asking you to be your girlfriend during recess. It was great music and great night after a busy two weeks of work. I think this place might be a fun gem for anyone interested in some great deals, good food and laid back feel.

I absolutely love Henderson's (Henderson Heights). Sexie Texie and I checked it out for the first time last summer, and we knew we found our new watering hole. Now that I have two pups, Tex and Chichi both love it for the welcoming vibe for fur babies. Clean dog bowls stacked by the water bucket, dog treats by the bar, a dog house, and a staff that gives bottomless belly rubs. As for me, I like the backyard feel. Picnic tables, swings, walk-up window/bar, TVs for sports watchin', free bug spray. And pretty damn good food. The classic cheeseburger is one of the top burgers I've had at a bar in recent years. Served with shoestring fries and for about $10. Filling. Split it so you can enjoy a corndog. Or a pizza. Wednesday steak night isn't too bad, but there are better in town. They have a brunch menu that I hear is popular - need to remember to give it a try since this is now in my new hood! There is an indoor area with A/C that's simply blasting, a few bar games and wifi. Yup, I've taken my laptop up there to work and enjoy a cheap dinner all by my lonesome. Friendly staff. Neighborhood locals. 5-stars for Henderson.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. This is a nice little patio bar/restaurant off Washington Avenue: ample parking, polite service, reasonably priced drinks/food, and plenty of screens to watch football/sports. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet and sour sauce and a side of tater tots. The sandwich was delicious. The sweet and sour sauce packed quite a punch. The patio is dog friendly so, I'll 100% be back with my pooch.

I had…read moreheard good things for years, and I remember driving past it a couple times and not seeing it or any signage. Even this time the GPS took us to an entrance that had us going the wrong way down a one-way, but we eventually figured it out I will say that the parking isn't all that great, but we were able to find a spot. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. The drink itself was far too Smokey in flavor than I like, or at least in terms of my espresso martinis The Yuzu Kosho fries were incredible. The flavors really hit the spot. The Okinawa Potato salad was both questionable to looks and and to eat lol. This purple mound of potato's had an interesting taste, look, and consistency. It wasn't bad, just... interesting and new Some tips: If you can't find this spot from the street, look for Handos. It's part of this restaurant Ask the bartender about the happy hour menu. And most nights they're open until 12am, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 2am If you order food online (technically from Hando's) you can get 10% off using code: HANDO10. This is part of their "Hando and Chill" special Cheers!!

It's located right at 19th St. and Shepherd near the light. There's a small angled parking lot that can be tight when people park along the fence. It looks like a cute tiny A-frame home with a few patio tables in the front. The inner area has about 6-7 high tables. It's nice and clean inside. The vibe feels similar to H-Town Brewing Co. but on a smaller scale. You can also sit at the bar. I didn't really like the high tables/chairs. They're not as comfortable. It was hot out, and there are mosquitos, so we sat inside. I ordered the salmon plate for steak night. The drinks here are ok, and since I don't really drink, I was looking for mocktail options. In this era, most places have mocktail options with brand alternatives like Ritual, Seedlip and Lyre's or at the least, something with juice, Topo Chico and simple syrup. The female bartender made me a NA margarita which was great. I liked that she didn't make it too sweet or too tart which happens with mocktails that don't have alternatives and are mostly juice or lemon. On the other hand, when I ordered a second, the guy bartender made it too sweet. I didn't like his version. For the alcoholic versions, they seem to have good cocktails, wine, beer and flights. They also have daily specials. Aside from the steak night, they don't serve food here. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars in this area.
