We found this place because we wanted a burger place with a drive-thru that is NOT one of your many nationwide franchise locations. Thus, Hercules Burger came into our arsenal of burger joints. Cost: For most, I think the burgers individually are on the slightly expensive end. Now, please note that my family and I do NOT drink soda or the likes so we only get our individual burgers and a bunch of sides which is why we don't get the combo. Speaking of sides, they are, on the other hand, very well priced so everything balances out. Food: I've tried a handful of their burgers and my concluded choice is the Colossus Burger. It's packed with beef paddies, bacon, and pastrami so there's a LOT of gains packed in it. The chicken burger/sandwich is pretty good as well esp with the 2 for $4 deal. The Hercules Fries are what sold this place for me when I first started eating here. Most places like The Hat has extremely salty pastrami but Hercules has just the right amount of sodium. The sides are generally good but I highly suggest to stick to regular fries rather than curly fries. Zucchinis are also very on point here. Menu prices are not on the menu board in the the drive-through or in the restaurant! When our bill for a steak sandwich, onion rings and two small drinks came out to over $31 and there was no detailed receipt, I questioned the prices. I was told that's what it cost ( the girl went to the back register and then came up and told me verbally what it cost per item. 8.99 for an order of onion rings ??? Really? Came in today to get a salad, toast (dry), regular soda and 3 eggs sunny side up. The food is decent. The cook has faithfully been working there and knows the grill! They did burn my dry sourdough toast, but my salad was cold. But the guy working the til SUCKS! Everything he did was al a cart (upsale). He doesn't give the transaction itemized receipt, only the total charged (hide charges). Won't sell what is on the sign above. I was referred to this place by one of my good friends I pass it a few times a week and was really hungry one day so I decided to stop and try the burgers and this was before COVID just as a reference and I liked it but it wasn't anything special. Fast forward in the pandemic and the wife wanted something to eat and I remembered they had some huevos rancheros that she likes to eat and I told her if she wanted to try them. She said sure and I went to pick up. I have used the drive thru and walk-in and I prefer walk-in just because of the time it would take just to sit for that food being made. They have a few different types of food and they serve breakfast all day so that is a solid win. HEADS UP! Went through the drive-thru Sunday August 18th. There were no prices on the menu board. Asked the employee and she said quote "the manager has not updated the prices yet". Ate from there last night and was surprised that the inside menu board has no prices. Inconvenient at best and possibly a shady practice or very lazy management. Have been going there off and on for about 10 years mostly for the 1/4 burger combo. Love the fries and the burger is a decent size . (Covid 19 Danger) Zero Face Coverings worn correctly by staff!!!! I have been a loyal customer for years, but after today I will no longer be spending my money at this establishment or risking the health of my family or myself here. As I approached the drive-thru window, I observed that no one was wearing their masks correctly. No one had their nose or mouth covered while working in the kitchen, including the Supervisor. As a Supervisor she should lead by example; when I questioned her about everyones masks, she gave me the lamest excuse to why herself and staff had no masks on correctly. (Some of them didn't even have masks on and others wore them on their chins) The Supervisor replied "I took my mask off because I was talking to someone "and I replied, "The more reason your mouth and nose should be covered, because all of your sputum and your germs are now being sprayed all over the food and throughout the kitchen." I was so disappointed and irritated about this entire incident and the lack of common courtesy for their customers and each other at this facility that I drove off feeling completely disgusted. Ordered chili cheese fries today, when I got home and took my first bite, I was shocked to taste them. They were either not made right or they changed the chili. I thought it was just me so I had my wife try them and she said the same thing. That they do not taste right and taste funky. I went all the way back and was told they cannot give me a refund because all sales are final. When I asked if I can see something stating that all sales are final, and I was advised that there is no where that states it, it's just always been their policy. After that then cashier took the paper and wrote "5-4-23 $10 store credi (not a typo they really spelled it credi). And when I said "I could have wrote this at home how do I know I will get credit" they advised you will just give your name and number and you're in our system". I asked for some kind of proof and I was advised you don't give receipts for store credit? I honestly feel like I'm being played with here and I do not appreciate it at all. This is the perfect balance of fast food and a sit down restaurant. This place doesn't look like much from the outside but it's very clean and well stocked as well as having nice decor. Everything here is served hot and fresh by a very friendly staff and Management. Today I tried the pastrami sandwich combo. I've had the fries before and they are definitely some of the best ever! The sandwich was amazing! The French roll was very fresh, the meat was very lean with the perfect amount of dill pickle slices and mustard. I don't live in this area and I was visiting a friend. I will definitely visit this friend more often and make this humble clean place a must stop regularly. Okay, to the point, it's a dive. But it's a dive that's clean, offers a great deal of food with large portions, and they will cook it your way an any form possible. There is a horror story here, but it's not food related and it will come at the end.
