Extremely rude waitstaff. I gave this place 4 different visits. The waitstaff is extremely rude and condescending. Also very slow and inefficient. They ignored me three of the visits and when I was finally acknowledged they were very snobby and made me feel like I was bothering them by picking up my food. The flavors weren't very tasty either. The coffee boba was brewed way too strong. I have been to most boba shops in la and this is by far the worst service. There are three very mean girls who work here. For the location, I'll give it a 4 out of 5 because the only parking available is street parking. In terms of the store ambiance, I'll rate it a 5 out of 5. There is plenty of space, store is clean, and it is quite cool inside despite the California heat. Most importantly, the drinks were spot on when it came to the presentation, but it did not reach the same level when it came to the taste (The Strike). For the drinks, I'll rate it a 3.5 out of 5. The Thai tea's flavor was good, but the Strike had little to no taste of chocolate and had a slight coffee flavor. The drink tasted as if it was watered down and it had big chunks of ice. Additionally, the Strike drink came with a sprinkle of nuts on the top with a nut/chocolate peppero stick. Beware, those who have nut allergies should request to have this taken off because it does not mention that it contains nuts on the menu. Lastly, customer service was average. Hey Hey is such a unique spot! I stopped by to pick up the check-in offer for a free 16oz bottled tea and was instantly captivated by the aesthetic and ambience here. Right when you walk in, there are board games, books, and a cool collection of merch. This cafe has a cozy local neighborhood vibe with photos of people of the walls. The employee we interacted with was super nice and my boyfriend and I got one of each bottled tea (black and green). It was a quick trip but I hope to come back here and hang out longer or even bring my laptop for a short remote work session. I also requested it to be half sweetened, but I think I could've been fine with the full amount of sweetness here. It was still lightly sweet, which was fine and my preferred way to drink tea(s) anyway! I wish there was a bit more of a roasted aroma from the matcha, but it was fine. The boba was chewy and the aloe was refreshing. I just got my booster and wanted to give myself a treat before the side effects found me. There are plenty of street parking, but I also went in the middle of a Friday afternoon. I parked about a block away, so I got some uphill steps in! At Hey Hey they pre-sweeten the black tea boba which was a turn off because it makes me think they don't make it fresh and is in a batch in the back. I'm very serious about my 珍珠奶茶 and want to know it's fresh with quality ingredients. I decided to try something else that wasn't sweetened - their matcha milk tea with boba. I ordered the Hey Hey (milk tea), which seemed like the most classic option, and they said you cannot adjust the sweetness level, so they took out the caramel included in the drink. They also ran out of flan that day so I got it substituted for herbal jelly, which I was totally fine with! My friend got the Mamba drink and she seemed like she enjoyed it a lot, but I feel like she just likes anything really sweet LOL Trying my Hey Hey drink, the taste is super different than the boba shops I had in other Taiwanese spots... but the more you taste it, the more you're okay with it? I'm also pretty picky on boba, but their boba here was actually pretty good! To my surprise, I actually liked the cream/foam on top with the drink! I had their Mamba special, which was a Ube Thai coffee frappe. I didn't even realize it had coffee in it until I looked back at the menu. It mainly tasted like a Thai tea slushy to me, although the color of the ube was pretty, and who doesn't want something that's named after the NBA greatest of all time? I have tried about 4 different drinks here and I could honestly say I've only enjoyed one of them. There are not many boba options in Silver Lake, but I recommend you endure a little drive to Boba Guys or Milk + T if you can. Gorgeous: My favorite of the 4 drinks. Great flavor! Sweet grass jelly with a wonderful texture. The drink also has pomelo in it! Very delicious and adds a bit of tanginess to the drink. A yummy combination. Matchstick: THE WORST DRINK! I have never had a matcha milk tea this bad. It seriously taste like nori. ROASTED SEAWEED!!! How can you make it taste so different than typical matcha? Very disappointed. It was also $7! Waste of money. Honey Lemon: Watered down! Very basic and very little flavor. Roasted Oolong w/House Cream: Decent, but nothing worth ordering twice. The house cream was good, but the oolong was not that good. Watered down and didn't have a roasted flavor. Overall, 2 stars because I enjoyed the Gorgeous... but only the Gorgeous. Probably won't come back. If you do come by, I recommend parking next to Monty's Good Burger. They have street parking by the neighborhood. read more

Interior design was well conceived and their furnitures such as leather couch, shelves, coffee tables, wooden chairs were great addition. Since it's my first time here, I ordered one of their specials called Mamba, a concoction of Frapped Thai Iced Tea & Coffee with handmade Ube (purple yam). I simply love it! Service was on point. Staff was welcoming and amiable. Prices were slightly on the high end but it's worth it. Street parking only. Overall, I had a wonderful order experience and love my Mamba boba frap. Hey Hey has a selection of gorgeous drinks, mostly frozen blended. I got their standard one (black milk tea with sweet foam, caramel swirl, flan, and boba). The boba was warm (as it should be!) and had a really nice flavor. The consistency of the tea was creamy, and the flavor was quite dense. My friend got the matcha blended one. Ordered: -Mamba: ube thai tea coffee frap--My bf said the ube cream itself isn't sweet enough for him. He said the thai tea coffee is sweet but the ube cream isn't. He also said each sip may be slightly different depending on how much cream you get so I suggest you mix it well. -Lychee green tea with house cream and brown sugar boba--The house cream separates from the tea so you have to mix it often if you drink slow. I don't think the brown sugar boba was the best topping to add to my drink cause it kind of gives the lychee a slightly different taste. read more
