Please ventilate your rooms a bit better, even before going inside they are already warm when you walk in. Downstairs dining areas was disappointing, there was a "wait to be seated" sign and not one employee will come over to assist you. Basically you can go to the rooms and run rampant because no one is really guiding people correctly. Mini golf was no better. read more

Today is their second day open and we expected a complete chaotic mess. However Timaeus was our server and he was amazing. You can tell he was super experienced in service, he helped us with the Wi-Fi, volume in the karaoke room (which needs to be turned up overall), the mic volume (too low! Needs to be louder with echo), and food and drink recommendations and it seemed like he worked here forever. Timaeus was such a good representation of what we can expect in the future from Hijinx Hotel. This place will inevitably become very busy and chaotic, but I feel we will be taken care of as long as Timaeus is here. Hijinx Hotel is so lucky they found someone as experienced and quick thinking as him! And if the owners could please please turn up the volume in the karaoke rooms as a whole! UNFORGETTABLE VIP EXPERIENCE -- ABOVE & BEYOND! We celebrated my aunt's birthday at Holey Moley & Hijinx Hotel in Irvine, and I can honestly say this was one of the most memorable, fun, and well-run experiences we've ever had. From start to finish, the VIP-level service was unreal -- and that's saying a lot because we were just regular admission! We did the challenge rooms, mini golf, and karaoke, and even though my aunt was running a little behind, the moment she arrived the staff escorted her straight to the challenge room we were in so she didn't miss much at all (we were luckily on the first room). That alone set the tone for how thoughtful and attentive the staff is here. The challenge rooms were SUCH a pleasant surprise -- I originally thought it was just one room, but it's actually a whole hallway of different themed rooms with rotating challenges, and you experience them only with your own group. We were a group of four, and I LOVED that they don't mix you with random people. Everything felt private and elevated -- including karaoke -- which honestly makes the entire place feel like a VIP experience at a regular price. Now let's talk about the staff, because WOW: Joe (Bellhop) was incredible. He stayed fully in character the entire time, which added so much to the immersion. His customer service was top-tier -- super friendly, engaging, and helpful. He even went out of his way to get extra copies of the "hotel receipts" with our challenge scores so the birthday girl could keep them as souvenirs. Gary (Server) at the bar was outstanding and truly made my aunt feel like a celebrity on her special day. He cleared a booth for us just as she requested, checked in regularly, made sure the food came out perfectly, and made sure everything was to our liking. He even sang Happy Birthday with us, all while somehow still managing his other tables seamlessly. His energy and attentiveness were next-level. I genuinely don't know how the staff manages to be so personable, engaging, and present while also being everywhere at once -- it felt superhuman. Ivan (Manager) was phenomenal. Due to my aunt and cousins dancing in the DJ area (yes, a full soul train line happened ) and grabbing drinks, we fell way behind schedule and didn't realize karaoke was time-sensitive. Even with all of that, Ivan and the team found a way to fully accommodate us, giving us cards to come back and enjoy our full karaoke time later. That kind of flexibility and care is rare. Ivan also went above and beyond by gifting my aunt a Hijinx Hotel robe as a birthday surprise -- which became the perfect souvenir from an unforgettable experience. Such a thoughtful gesture that truly sealed the night. Alex also deserves a big shoutout. She was incredibly patient, sweet, and positive while guiding us through the elevator experience for the challenge rooms. She offered to take multiple photos, encouraged us to use the dress-up props, and was so kind and professional -- even while preparing for the next group. One thing to note: there is SO much to do here. Once you arrive and catch the vibes, it's easy to lose track of time just hanging out in the bars, speakeasy, and different themed areas -- in the best way possible. You could honestly spend hours here without even realizing it. Bottom line: Hijinx Hotel & Holey Moley is pure magic. The atmosphere, the activities, and especially the staff made my aunt's birthday truly extraordinary. We left already planning our next visit. If you're celebrating something special -- or even if you're not -- this place is an absolute must. read more

We had a private event for approximately 40 people and every event is tense. However, Adrian was a silver lining and from start to finish made sure we were communicated to. He handled our large party mainly by himself with minimal help. If not for Adrian, our event would not have been as successful as it was. We are so grateful for him and although things were hectic at times, his attitude was always positive and he never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. We went to the Hi Jinx Hotel which was so much fun! We did it with our 7 year old, 4 year old, and baby (1 year old) in the stroller. Super fun and interactive for all ages! Come prepared to put in some physical activity though!! We went over the Holey Moley golf but didn't do it this time, will definitely do it next time!! There was a Photo Booth in front of a golf cart which was fun and easy to use! The entire staff was excellent, answered all of our questions multiple times and were extremely hospitable. We stumbled upon Hijinx Hotel while we were walking around the Irvine Spectrum and we ended up having the absolute best time. Destini at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. She gave us a great explanation about the hotel and she helped book us a last minute reservation. She was able to set us up with all of the challenge rooms and we had a blast. Our housekeepers were great, especially Quinn. She was funny, witty, and made us feel supported while we went on our challenge adventures. All of the challenge rooms were extremely fun and chaotic in the best way. We were able to end the night with some delicious drinks at the speakeasy. We had a group of four people and we would absolutely recommend this place! Every employee we interacted with went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fun experience. We went here on our anniversary night and, for the most part, had an amazing time. I would say the atmosphere and activities are top-notch and so much fun. The only downside was that the service at the restaurant was extremely slow. We were the only ones waiting to be seated, and it took about 10 minutes for someone to greet us and ask if we would like to be seated. Then, it took another 10+ minutes before our drinks were ordered or greeted by our waitress. The food was good for the price and location, but it definitely wasn't 5-star quality. The presentation of the food was very cool and unique, but the taste just did not match. The game master at Hijinx was AMAZING and guided us through the experience wonderfully. The golf at Holey Moley was wonderful and truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Overall, we would definitely return with some friends next time! read more
