Delicious! We got the chicken momos, gobi manchurian and a side of naan. We asked for the gobi manchurian to be spicy and it had a great flavor with a very tolerable kick. The chicken momos were smaller than I expected but you get 8 and two sauces. We liked both dishes and the naan was great. Hands down the gobi manchurian was our favorite. So much flavor. When we first were going to order we saw a kiosk outside and were scrolling though. The person working (maybe owner?) came out to get us and offered to take our order instead. This restaurant is like a hidden gem, had the best chowmein with chilli momos on top combination of these two is not on the menu but Pawan was so nice to customize this for me. Momo Lovers!! Give this place a try. Loved their momos. For west San Jose folks, it's a very close and convenient place. If you are in west gate mall shopping or doing some errands, you can have your lunch or dinner or evening snack here.. service is good and the food is yum. You can get everything from butter chicken and naan to momos and noodles here which is awesome. This is a good spot for families as well since you can sit down and the interior is well done. It is part of the west gate mall but has its own entrance and easy to find! I ended up getting takeout and ordered: * chicken momo - delicious and juicy, these were steamed and came with an orange and red sauce which had a lot of flavor * chicken c momo - this was really yummy and came in a sauce which was flavorful and slightly spicy but I loved it. * vegetarian momo - this was filled with veggies and some paneer I believe and was nice and flavorful for those who are vegetarian! * chicken noodles - this I really liked and it came with plenty of chicken which I loved. The noodles were well flavored *chicken fried rice - this was a little dry and less flavorful, I would pick the noodles over rice * fish fry - this was made with i believe some Nepalese seasoning and parents liked this a lot, it came with tartar sauce Overall, food was yummy and enjoyed it. Delicious and high quality Indian food. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala are some of the best I've had. The butter and garlic naan was extremely fresh. I would not order the malabar paratha bread again, it is not as good as the paratha bread I've had in other Indian restaurants. Relaxing place to have lunch and a good place for vegetarian. The Manchurian Gobi (cauliflower) appetizer was so delicious! Noticed that this place replace the Smashburger and decided to try it out when we were in the area for an event. They definitely have a vibe, pretty heavy with the religious tones with a religious video playing and incense burning. It was kind of eerie that there wasn't anyone else eating here at the same time, though some people ordered here for takeout. We got the Lamb Biryani, Chicken Tikka, and Seekh Kabob. The biryani came out pretty quickly, and they offered some raita when they served it. It was pretty good, with some large chunks of lamb, though there wasn't that much meat. The Chicken Tikka was pretty nice and juicy, with a few charred parts, and nicely spiced. My friend didn't like it as much as he said it was too strong in the wrong ways for his tastes. The Seekh Kabob was alright, though it didn't have that much flavor, though it also had pretty nice char. The service was alright, nothing special but we didn't need much either. I'm not sure if I would come again, but if I do, I would probably try the more typical dishes like butter chicken and roti that people said they enjoyed on their visits. read more

We ordered Doordash Delivery from here. We ordered goat curry, lamb curry, vegetable curry, garlic naan, goat bryani and tandoori chicken momo. The tandoori chicken was really good. Goat and lamb meats weren't as tender as I liked. But the flavors of all the curries were good. The goat curry has no option for level of spice. Vegetable had no spice even though we selected mild. This Himalayan restaurant is located inside Westgate Mall. Go through the foodcourt entrance and you'll find the place right in front of the building near Kuma Sushi. This place deserve to get 5 stars for its foods. Place was nicely decorated and clean. We ordered chicken momo. It was packed with chicken meat, got the crunch from cabbage, was served with 2 types of sauce, the mild sauce has some gingery taste to it which I personally don't like because I'm not a fan of ginger, the spicy sauce compliment the momo really well!! What I like about it is the momo has thin skin, enough meat on the inside and most importantly is hot and juicy. We also got Nepali Thali w/chicken. Chicken curry was good and fresh, however it lacks a little bit of spice and flavor. Papadum was a little stale as well. But the lentil and black eye peas curry were good!! It also comes with vegetables on the side which compliments the dish really well. Butter chicken was made with chicken breast, it was not dry at all which I love!! Usually chicken breast tend to taste more dry, but they did not overcooked it. Curry was flavorful and creamy. We ate it with garlic naan which also was good. Overall, this is one of my favorite indian/himalayan restaurants. Definitely will be back with more family members. Don't think twice, just give them a try! And support local business! read more

Portions are huge, so it took me a much longer time to finish the entire plate. Had a hot cup of milk tea with it too. Very good. No long lines or crowds during Wednesday lunch hours. Curry and side dishes are always flavorful. Love all ingredients. Naan bread was plain, but good too. Not bad for a very satisfying lunch plate. I really enjoyed the stop today. Male staff does it all. Yes, deserves tips here. These places stand out in the community because pandemic really killed a lot of confidence and dining out in groups these days. Great food! I'm Chinese - grew up eating chow mein and I never thought I'd love chow mein from an Indian/Nepalese restaurant!! The spice is just right and makes this amazing!! It's a must try! Also, you know those XLB (xiao long bao) from Ding Tai Fung and other places? If you want those w a kick of spice and curry, they got some right here too! And if you're like me--always finding spicy stuff to test your limits, then you must try the chili chicken!!! The restaurant is in the Westgate mall. We were going to go for Poke, but it was closed. It was just a bit past 7:15 on a Saturday night. So, we decided we would try this place out. It looked a bit slow... but with two Indian families there that was a good sign. The restaurant itself used to be a Smashburger, so I came in not expecting much. We walked in and we're greeted by Pawan, who was very friendly. He even a schooled us on the proper way to eat the Pani Poori by filling it up to the brim with the Pani liquid. My wife and I were simply adding a few drops of it, but it is really like a taste explosion practically filling it up to the brim and tossing it back like a shooter in one bite... Topping it up is a bit much for me so I'll probably just go 1/2-3/4 of the way going forward. We even had to have a second order and there's only two of us. Our other appetizer was the Aloo Papdi Chaat. The wafers were crispy and thick, a nice surprise... and again, everything was just so fresh and flavorful... my only criticism of the entire meal was this was a bit too sweet; (come to think of it the Pani Poori was already pre-assembled... I actually like putting it all together myself But man, if you get a hankering for Indian nachos, this is it! I ordered the lamb kebab which came out on a sizzling platter. It was so flavorful and tender and perfectly grilled. You can even see the steam in my photo. No leftovers here. My wife ordered the Sag Paneer.. again, perfectly balanced obviously fresh spinach was used, It wasn't macerated. There was plenty of paneer and was savory with a hint of salty and sweet, just delish! My take away is whatever the chef does here is distinctively elevate every dish keeping the traditional taste I've experienced at dozens of places throughout my world travels with every bite being familiar, delicious yet somehow new at the same time. At the core the only rational thought as to how this was achieved is everything tasted fresh and of high quality. The food shines on its own. Full stop.
