My cousins and I drove up from San Diego because they really liked this place. Parking and sitting down was not an issue. Very spacious parking lot and inside had a lot of tables and chairs to sit down. We had to wait a little bit for our food but the service was good. We ordered the Mi Cay (both the seafood and beef). You can get 0-7 spice with 7 being really spicy. I think if you were to eat something like this adding some spice will definitely taste better than 0 spice. I also personally enjoyed the beef more than the seafood because the seafood felt like it was lacking something. They provide a good amount of meat for the beef version but I kept asking myself if the bowl was worth it. To me, it didn't feel like I got a good value. The milk tea with full topping was pretty interesting. The drink came with cheese topping and some cute animal toppings. I liked the cheese foam as well cause it wasn't overpowering. The cheese topping can taste strong sometimes and its kind of strange, so if you're not really into a nacho cheesy flavor then I highly recommend not getting it. Overall, it was alright. Not sure if I'd ever come back.
Haven't tried the food here but have been here twice for the drinks. First time I came for the full topping liter bucket and they were out of toppings that day. I got the lotus flower tee which was nice but not super memorable. But then this time they had the toppings! And I tried their new roasted rice tea with lowest sugar and all the toppings and it was SO SO good. This was the reason for coming back and all the different fun jello toppings are such a nice treat to hunt for in the bucket. Was shocked to finish almost the full bucket in one sitting but if you wanted to you could definitely stretch it out over a few days. Cute place!
I'd like to leave some feedback about my order. I specifically asked for the noodles not to be cooked because I live far away and wanted to cook them myself when I got home. However, the noodles were still cooked. Also, there was a previous time when my order was missing the flan. I hope you can pay closer attention to the special instructions and double-check the order before giving it to the customer. These mistakes are pretty inconvenient, especially since I live far away. Thank you.
Hippo Loco what a cool little shop. The drinks are supper cute with their edible Labubus. This authentic little shop grab my attention. I drove from San Diego to this location to try their Labubu drinks. I was not disappointed! The drinks were delicious and the Labubus made it all so very adventurous. The staff is super helpful. A great place to come!
We drive 1.5 hours from San Diego just to eat here and we've done it 4 times in the last 2 months. That says everything. Their lẩu Thái is unmatched and tastes just like home for me. I also always add flan to my drinks and it's so good. The space is comfortable, food is amazing, and service is great. 100% worth the drive.
tried out this spot for the first time for their bucket teas that includes all their fun toppings and i'd say it's pretty worth it. it was roughly $12/$13 for the whole thing, you can pick your tea and the whole bucket includes all of their toppings so different tapioca pearls and jellies (cheese, melon, pandan, etc). definitely shareable between two people! it's a small casual establishment with plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy your drinks but i noticed they also had food as well. service was n friendly and helpful so id love to come back to possibly try their food items as well.
Unassuming little plaza, plentiful parking. Cute ambiance inside, customer service appropriate. Opted for the milk tea drink with all the jellies! Cute and fun concept! Each jelly had a hint of different flavors, for example the cheese one had a hint of cheese flavor, the pig shape had a chocolate filling, one had a brown sugar taste, one was a hint on the fruity side, boba was as expected. I enjoyed the milk tea, was on the nutty side. I would def come back to bring my little nieces and nephews or cousins from out of town to experience a happy boba drink. Sometimes it's nice to spruce up your day with cuteness! Their instagram account will post when they will serve special edition shapes like Labubu's ! I plan to go for that !
Came here a few years ago before they rebranded & I have to say I prefer the old interior/aesthetic tbh :') However, it seems to be a well-known cafe in the viet community. Not lactose-intolerant friendly as they don't have milk alternatives RIP ORDERED: - Green Thai Milk Tea - my absolute fave! perfectly balanced & sweet enough, very fragrant tasting - Matcha Milk Tea with Cheese Foam - not great but not bad, asked for extra sweetener as it's not strong tasting, wish matcha was stronger - Cup Full Topping of Secret Flower Milk Tea (1 liter) - pretty diluted but we let it sit for long oops, floral taste with lots of cute and unique toppings - Milo bucket - way too sweet and too many flavors/textures going on, also kinda icy so everything tastes melted or watery, good for sharing & families with kids
First time ordering out of state shipping orders from them and did not disappoint. I didn't stop by the store few years ago when we were in town visiting because of the mix reviews and I thought they would specialize in ramen vs milktea. So glad they decided to try out with out of state shipping orders. The milktea were pretty good surprisingly. Pretty condensed down so a bottle is worth 2 cups if you water down with ice. I feel like the sweetness was good enough with ice. Not terribly just sugar taste. I love the secret flower tea so much. It's so fragrant and strong. The hippo signature milktea was pretty good as well and that didn't disappoint me as their signature drink. I love the details of the toppings. Feel like too cute to eat them. Kinda sad the cheese foam topping got mixed in with other topping so I couldn't do a good photo on that topping box. Overall I think it's good to give them a try even if you live out of state like me. Yes overnight shipping cost is a bit much but it's a lot cheaper than a flight ticket lol :) I would definitely order more in the future. Check them out in FB to order or call the store. The owner is super sweet and responsive.
This boba place has a really cute topping selection and lots of fun choices to customize your drink. I ordered a milk tea and it had a strong tea flavor and creamy, which I really liked. They also have spicy ramen options on the menu, which look interesting. I did not try them this time, but I want to come back to try them next time.
I heard about this place after her friend of mine told me about all their unique toppings they offer with their drinks, including any Labubu shaped topping. However, for my first time I wanted to go with their signature milk tea with boba and popcorn chicken. Their milk tea was good, a little on the sweet side, but I forgot to ask for adjustments. The boba was fresh and chewy, and well done. I really enjoy their popcorn chicken dish. It was the right ratio of breading to chicken, and it was fried very well giving each piece an even texture. I also really liked that they weren't heavy-handed with the powdered seasoning, and the basil in the dish really came through. The store itself is pretty spacious inside with a few tables. It has a sort of cutesy design, but it was still clean and modern appearing. Service was great as well.
I ordered from out of state, and it arrived overnight - super fast shipping! The drinks were still cold and fresh when I received them. The flavors are amazing, especially the Thai green milk tea- it's perfectly balanced, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. It's honestly my perfect taste! And the toppings...oh my gosh, they're freaking cute and delicious! Each one has its own texture : chewy, flavorful, and so satisfying. The adorable designs make everything even more fun to eat. Their customer service is also wonderful -- very friendly, polite, and quick to respond to messages. You can really tell they care about their customers. Overall, I'm super happy with my order -- from the packaging to the taste to the service, everything was perfect. Definitely ordering again soon!

The spicy noddle soup was good but if u can't handle spice don't get level 3 and up lolz. I died with level 3 . The service was up the roof! Give them 10 stars for that. One of the guy was so so so nice. Will come visit again if I'm in town. And they have the bucket lol read more

I chose the green tea boba and to my surprise it wasn't as sweet -I really dont like sweet boba and this was perfect. I picked the cooler and tons of jelly types. All was pretty good except cheese I wasn't fond of it. Big container 3 of us shared it. Nice boba shop with the decor. There was a line by the time we left but they're pretty fast. read more

I'm a regular customer here. In my opinion, the spicy noodles here are very good -- better than most places in OC. However, for most of the drinks, I honestly don't find anything special to praise, even though this is supposed to be a bubble tea shop. Today, as usual, I ordered a bowl of spicy noodles. I asked if they could add a little purple cabbage to it, but I didn't expect they would charge an extra $3.50 for a small plate with just a tiny amount. I don't think $3.50 is worth it for that portion of cabbage. So, for a $15.50 bowl of spicy noodles plus a small $3.50 plate of cabbage, I don't feel that's a fair price. That's the one thing I don't like here. Even though I'll probably still come back, I won't have the same fondness for this place as I used to. Maybe you'll think I'm overreacting, but keeping customers happy, offering fair prices, and ensuring a good experience should be the store's responsibility. It's not about the $3.50 -- it's just not worth it. I'd also like to add a suggestion: instead of charging $3.50, the shop could charge 50 cents or $1, which would be fine. They could also serve less cabbage since it's just for one bowl of noodles, it doesn't need to be that much. I couldn't finish it, and it really wasn't necessary to have that much in the first place. read more

The service in this location is amazing. They do a great job and fast pace is taking in your order and getting it done for you. The ambience is very peaceful. Everyone is in their own tables drinking and enjoying their beverages. The reason we came here were for the Labubu's. The Labubu's are actually made out of Panna cotta and they're quite bland. They do pair up with any of the drinks perfectly and the taste is up for you to decide. They also do sell the Panna cotta on their own and they do have them in various sizes so make sure you choose which size you want otherwise they'll default you to the smaller size the tasting of the drinks wasn't all that great but if you're here for the aesthetic and the Panna cotta.Labubu! Tried their Salted Plum Tea, which is best seller of store and it was amazing - super refreshing, tangy, and not too sweet. Tastes just like Vietnam! Staff was friendly and service was fast. Even though the shop closes at 9pm and I arrived at 8.59pm the staff were still happy to work. read more

Saw a video on TikTok promoting their latest full-topping boba. Had to try. Now I live in Missouri, I book a flight with 6 hours of travel each way. Give them a try. All I can say is this place worth my travel. The tea is rich in flavor, and the toppings match perfectly with the special tea (secret flower). I will return. Btw, amazing customer service. read more

We came to get a drink because of a tik tok we saw . Little djd we know that it was labubu promo week . Even though it's a small shop , the service was efficient as could be given the amount of people placing orders and waiting for orders , not only drinks but food. I want to point out that even though they were extremely busy they were very attentive to their customers . The combo of level 3 special kimchi noodles and peach iced tea is always my favorite. The noodle bowl is full of various toppings, and the rich broth clearly carries the flavor of pork bones. The peach tea is always the shop's best-seller. Because of my obsession with hotpot and spicy noodles, I even bought a clay pot at home to enjoy these dishes. In case the shop is crowded and I don't have much time to wait, ordering to-go and eating it with my clay pot like at the shop is always a great option. Delicious food and drinks, reasonable prices, and a fun, friendly staff and environment are always big pluses for this place. read more

Cute pink, flora and teddy bear decor. It has some very instagramable background. The menu can easily be seen on their website. Coffee, milk tea, juice, snacks, and spicy noodles advertised as 7 level of spiciness. I got the Hokkaido milk tea and it was a disappointment. Didn't give me that earthy taste. Instead, the vanilla caramel flavor was so over powering that it gave me an after taste of butterscotch. I asked my fiancé what he thought and he said watered down condense milk and creamer. My friend got the matcha milk latte cheese and she loved it because it's not too sweet. The prices here are reasonable with drinks ranging from $4.55-$5.75. We wanted pop corn chicken but it's sold out. So we got garlic fries. You can tell it's air fried not deep fried because no oil or grease. They are closed for three weeks in Oct for maintenance. read more

We were disappointed with the drink here. The owner advertised their new item "full-topping milk tea" either in the bucket or a regular cup. We ordered two cup full-topping and were surprised with the receipt. Another thing is that, it was missing two toppings and they still charged full price. I don't know why the owner posted an apology video on TikTok then deleted. Tụi mình rất là thất vọng với tiệm. Hôm trước rất là háo hức đi thử trà sữa full-topping của tiệm. monday night crowd was there and gets busy around 8-9 before closing. there is a row of tables to chat and enjoy drinks. they are a little on the pricier side if you were to compare them to unu cafe for example. i got their hippo signature milk tea with full toppings. the service was decent and nice. there is an all gender restroom in the back. the only downside was the table i sat at. there was a strange funky smell coming from it and crumbs on the seats, so staff needs to work on cleanliness. read more

The spicy noodle is surprisingly good for being instant ramen. We ordered level 2 spicy but it was really spicy, and were used to eating spicy. Might have been a mistake. They did bring another table's order to us. Drinks are sugary so get less than 100%. The pandan drink is good. The 5 skewers of street food snacks are fun to eat. About 5 tables. I recently ordered a bucket full topping and a milk tea with cheese foam. The experience was extremely disappointing. First, the milk tea with full toppings was poorly packed and spilled all over the bag. Everything was sticky and a mess by the time I opened it. Worse, one of the toppings in the milk tea with cheese foam -- the Labubu -- had a hair embedded inside it. This is not something that could have just fallen in; the hair was actually inside the topping. I have a video showing me pulling the hair out of it -- it was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't usually leave a review like this, but this experience was unacceptable. This needs to be addressed -- both the hygiene issue and the poor packaging. Please make this right. read more
Came by to pick up pizza in the same shopping center as we drove by this place to park. I came here solely based off the name. Glad I did. There are decorations for a photo op while you wait. It's super cute. We came at night on a Saturday and they ran out of boba but would come back to try with boba again (ordered drink without boba and it was great - was able to request half sweet on my Thai tea, which was plenty sweet). I ordered 5 drinks and asked the Dasher to leave them at my hotel front desk. When I came back I only received 2 DRINKS. I didn't know whose fault it was when the bag was easy to double-check before you give out and deliver but they missed more than half my order, 3 DRINKS. I only received the full toppings green Thai milk tea and the coffee. After a long day, you came back to your hotel at 1. am. But your drinks disappeared. HOW FRUSTRATED! read more

Terrible experience from start to finish. Called ahead to place an order, got a confirmation number, but when we arrived, they claimed they didn't have it. Ended up waiting way too long. To make things worse, the drink was extremely disappointing--completely flavorless, like plain water. If I wanted that, I could have just gotten tap water for free. Definitely not worth the money. They took my order wrong, I ordered Summer garden fruits tea but they gave me Strawberry , I had to go so I can't fix my order and wait for them, I wish they could repeat the order to customers but they didn't. I repeated 3 time less ice. But my cup you can see full cup of ice so the drink finished after couple sips. Drink was not what I expected, can't taste the tea just like water with strawberry syrup . This is my first time coming to this location. The peach iced tea was delicious and has a good amount of taste of peaches. Their menu has some great appetizers, milk teas, and fruit teas. Toppings are 65 cents. The service was fast & employee is nice and friendly. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious, and excellent place to study. Their most popular drink is peach iced tea and green Thai tea. This store ACCEPTS cash and credit cards. I would definitely come back to this place to try their other drinks. read more

First time here since I've been seeing it all over IG. Very disappointed. I wanted to try the salted plum ice tea, was told they were out. How are you out of a drink? It's 4pm and I'm sure it's a popular drink. Then there's 3 people working the front... but it takes so long to get your drinks and needless to say the person that ordered after me got their drinks first. I ordered one drink. I tried the lychee ice tea. Nothing special about it... tastes like any other tea place besides that you get a free labubu jelly on top. read more

I walked in and was greeted by a friendly staff member. This place definitely loves the color pink. We made our order and had a seat. There were plenty of seats open since we came after dinner. Let's talk about their popcorn chicken - crispy and flavorful! Nothing short of addictive! Juuuuust enough spice to give a lil kick while still being enjoyable. I was mesmerized by the photos on Yelp of the pink walls and white table tops. What made me want to come was the tea service they offered--a nice pot of tea along with assorted desserts. Unfortunately to my dismay, I didn't notice some of the new pictures of the new decor. Same pink walls now clashing with dark wood like tables and black chairs. The disappointment I had, could not be put into words. It looks like they are transitioning into a restaurant. No more cute little cafe, no siree! I figured since we drove all the way here, might as well give them a try. We ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee (not authentic, there was no rich bitter taste), the brown sugar milk tea (boba honestly tasted like plastic or either because it wasn't fresh, texture was there, but taste was completely off), the signature milk tea (nothing signature about it) and the peach iced tea (their recommended selection), that was good and refreshing even at 25% sugar level. We also ordered food there. We got their special fried fish banh mi sandwich and their seafood special kimchi noodle soup. Let me tell you, their food redeemed them. The fried fish sandwich was a mix of savory flavors from a hoisin based sauce, to fried fish cake and Vietnamese herbs I normally wouldn't eat. The flavors blended so well, I was shocked and ordered another to go. As for the kimchi noodles, we got it with a level 1 spicy. Still a little kick, the noodles were chewy and soft, the seafood selection was worth what we paid for and the kim chi broth was delicious and not overpowering. The banh mi & kim chi noodles were 4/5 stars. The staff are very friendly and nice, very attentive and willing to help answer my questions. Drinks, nothing amazing but food items were delicious! Restrooms could use some work, all in all, I would come back for the fried fish banh mi sandwiches! P.s. during my time there, another party came in wanting to do the tea service and were told they do not offer that anymore. read more
