I believe the owner answered and told us to come right away. We did and WOW! We could not be more happy. Came here after trying a few other places over the past few months. Amy and her staff are great and super friendly, along with being great at what they do! My girlfriend and I scheduled a couples massage and Amy was able to fit us in that same day. The massage it self was by far the best massage I've had in Pasadena and possibly LA. Well... my friend and I wanted to get a relaxing massage for two. They accommodate 2 people in 1 room. Prior to our arrival, they text my friend with this: 60 mins for $50 each. So we decided to book it. Upon arrival, we waited a couple of minutes before being escorted into a room with 2 beds. Nothing fancy. We get comfy, the main lady peeps in and says too loud. So we lowered our voices. Two ladies come enter, 30 mins into our massage my lady turns to my friend and says 90 mins for $80! I looked up and said No, thank you. per text it's $50 60mins. We actually had to be somewhere else in LA. She kept saying ok..90 mins $80. He said No we have to be somewhere else. 20 seconds later the main lady opens the door and they all start chatting.. By the way..our butts are exposed with the door open during their chat! Good thing nothing else was exposed. While on my back she starts on my face..I could smell what she had for lunch. The garlic on her hands, not ok. Maybe she was in hurry to eat lunch. But, GARLIC on my face is not ok. I wasn't comfortable with 1) Negotiating $ during my message, not ok. 2) Butt exposed while door open, not ok. 3) Garlic finger tips, YIKEs not ok. If you decided to visit be sure you like Garlic, exposure and make sure you negotiate your time and money. Don't worry, my friend over compensated on the tip by 60%. Good Luck! read more

I came in for an evening massage and I was happy to see how warm and inviting the space was. Amy greeted me at the door and showed me to my room. The room and the massage table were both comfortable and my masseuse was amazing! She spent a long time on my shoulders, which had been super tense from a tough year and I could just feel all the pain in my neck melt away when she worked out the knots. The pressure was pretty strong, but she checked several times to make sure I was okay with the pressure and went more delicately with places I was more sensitive. Then it was time for the hot stones and that felt fantastic!! I left feeling so relaxed and with a looooot less back pain! I will definitely be back. read more

Lots of potential and positives about HM Warm Spa, with a few peculiar parts as well. I had a horrible right sided neck cramp thanks to my contorted sleeping positions, and needed a quality massage stat. HM Warm Spa was super accommodating despite me randomly walking in on a Wednesday, and was able to provide a full hour deep tissue massage with Mary. Mary was excellent in terms of both strength and technique; very strong and able to keep up the deep tissue massage during the full hour. The ambiance and apparent cleanliness of the establishment seems fine, other than my skin issue below - as far as I can tell everything is cleaned/organized/attended to between each massage. There are some individual rooms and rooms with several tables in them. So, although the massage was pretty darn awesome, I had difficulty directing Mary to the aforementioned kinks on the right side of my neck and shoulder. I don't know if it had to do with her handedness or the language barrier, but she overly focused on the left side of my neck/shoulders/upper back, immediately overworking them from the start of the massage. By far she spent much more time on the left side, and twice during the massage I had to point out that I wanted it more on the right. I dunno, perhaps my left side felt more tense to her, but even the number of strokes and time on each side heavily favored the left. Or maybe it was the language barrier. Don't get me wrong, it was still great - a really wonderful massage overall, but not exactly where I needed the focus. Finally, after the massage I broke out in small flat pimples for three days, only on the areas at which my face was touching the massage table face hole. There were clean towels on the face hole, and then paper towels covering these as well, but I can't deny the fact that my usually not-sensitive face had a super weird pimple-y rash within an hour of returning home, in the exact same areas that were resting on the table. Pricing was a little weird - I was definitely told $50 for 1 hour on the phone, with $40 for half an hour (which is probably all I needed), which is a bit incongruent from what's on their website. Then when I got there, I was told that it was $60 an hour, which was consistent with what they actually had in-house. The "extreme value" massage for $25/hour that is on their websites is also not present on their menu in the store. Eh, whatever, but the inconsistency is a little off-putting. However, pricing is overall great - you really are hard-pressed to find few places that offer masseuses as skilled as Mary for what is basically a dollar an hour. All in all, I'd definitely give HM Warm Spa another shot, but probably ask instead for a foot massage or a general neck/back massage rather than focus on a specific area. read more

I am finally writing a review for this awesome place! After coming here 3-4 times, I feel that I should write one. I was brought here by my friend. I have only tried the couples massage(we split the price). $100 for 60 minutes plus I tip my masseuse $10. It is a full body massage from head to toe and hot stones. They give you a private room upstairs with a shower for the couples massage, so you can shower and rinse off the oil after the massage. Very very relaxing. I've had different masseuses each time and I always forget their names! I haven't found a favorite one yet! I like my massages on the soft spot and each time they are able to release my muscles. You will come out feeling new and relaxed! There is only street parking. The few times I came, I am able to find parking within the block. I always call and make an appointment and each time they are able to fit me and my friend in, so that is awesome. They are very nice and everyone speaks pretty good English. The massage spa is very clean and everyone is very professional. I highly recommend coming here! read more

First timer at this place- My husband and I went here based on the reviews, the front lady desk was very nice and friendly. She "accommodated us" as a last minute appointment. Appointment was at 9:30, she said to come in a little early so we showed up around 9:20. They didn't start until 9:40. By start I mean when they took us to the room for a 30 min foot massage. We had our feet soaking for 10 minutes and then the massage started (9:50), by 10:10 we were moving to the other room for the body massage. They started the body massage around 10:15 and by 10:35 we were done!!! In between the massage the lady would go grab towels, lotions, you name it, so it was never a constant massage. We paid $50, each for maybe a 40 min massage total, when it was supposed to be a 60 min. We paid, accepted it, and never going back again! The lady that did my massage was very good except that I didn't get her name or even remember her face. My go-to massage spot. Amy is the owner and she runs a tight ship to ensure a comfortable and satisfying experience for customers. All the massage therapists are great, I don't think I ever had anyone bad. My favorite is Lisa. Her technique and strength always makes my sore body feel so much better! My husband tried Jessica and she was great too! As a woman, I also feel safe here because there are always a lot of customers and it's in a safe, cozy area of town. First time here. I appreciated being able to text with the lady in charge instead of having to call in that I was going to be late. She was accommodating and the ladies were thorough and didn't rush through the massage like they were trying to make up for time that I had lost. The hubs and I went in for a couples massage and the ladies were diligent in asking if the pressure was good. Overall, massage was good. We also got facials. I appreciated the fact that even though I had added this feature to our massages, the ladies remained accurate in adding the additional 10 minute massage to the facial. I think an exfoliation was performed but it wasn't any process that I have previously experienced. It must have been so gentle that it felt like everything else...something was applied to my face, massaged, and then washed off, several times. Unfortunately, my 3 stars represent the omission of my favorite part of a facial; the extractions. Though it is listed in the description, it was not performed as I had expected. There was a suction machine that was swept over parts of my nose and cheek but it was weak and I wasn't sure what it was trying to do. I was expecting the lady to go through my face, search and remove blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. But she didn't. I didn't think it appropriate to ask as she was in the process, if she was going to manually extract my imperfections. But then they announced that they were done and I was disappointed. Though I will consider returning for another massage, I will likely not do another facial there. read more

Dang, that was good. Had a friend in town and they decided they wanted to get a massage, we looked up a few spots nearby, and came across this one. Made a call and they penciled us in to be the last of the day. Showed up at the appointment time, picked our massage and we were off and running. The massage was really good with good pressure to get into those deeper muscles. Some places will have no real pressure, but the masseuses here can give a pretty good deep massage which I love, and that hour you pay for is a real hour. Some shadier places will short you on your time, but you get every minute worth here. I definitely recommend this place, and when the need for a massage is there I'll definitely be coming back to this place. Legit! read more

I called earlier today to see if they could add my sister and I to their schedule. My sister is a recovering cancer patient and I really wanted to make sure she had someone that could be gentle. Amy answered the phone and reassured me that we would be taken cared of. When we arrived, she already had my sister's bed preheated. Also, told her that if there was a language barrier to let her know, and to not be afraid to communicate with her massage therapist what she liked and needed. Sister saw Mandy and she was phenomenal. My sister LOVED her massage and will be going back. Her technique and how gentle she was got all the knots and didn't leave her feeling sore. She left relaxed which is what she wanted. Great value for this massage! I always get the 25$ foot massage, and if you want, you can ask your masseuse to focus on a certain area, and you can "customize" it :) Usually you get put into a group area, which is in the main room, separated by semi-transparent sheets. If that's full, sometimes you can even get a private room! Con is the beds are a little bit old, a little saggy in the middle, but I just ask for an extra pillow to put under my back and it's totally fine! You can usually find parking but you may have to walk a little because it's street parking only. I've had a great experience every time. The masseuses are very receptive to my feedback if I tell them the massage is too hard or soft. And the staff is very kind and timely. My favorite bargain massage in Pasadena! read more

She even sends a confirmation text once you make an appointment over the phone to make sure you have their location and current pricing/menu of services and deals. My masseuse tonight was Michelle, and I'm convinced fate brought us together because she gave me the best massage I've EVER HAD-- and I've had QUITE a few due to back issues from work! She catered to ALL my tense spots with such care and patience. After your massage is over, you can access the lovely shower in your room as long as you fill out the Shower Waiver Form! I tried this spa for the first time. Let's first mention the positives. Clean place, rooms are clean,toilet is clean, they probably have shower place after the massage although I didn't use it. I booked a deep tissue 60 min body massage for $60. Now the negatives. Girls there don't understand English very much. My masseuse was Lilly, I wanted more strong pressure but either she won't understand or was unable to do it. She finished in 50 minutes but I paid for 60 minutes. I tried to tell her that she is finishing early then 60 minutes but she did not understand or listen ? I hope this review will help others. read more
