I told mine to make it a little harder for me and she sure did. I told her my main focus were my shoulder blades and boy did she WORK on them! My boyfriend said his massage was great as well! He had issues with his neck and shoulder and the lady that massaged him really did help alleviate his pain. Definitely will be going back. I really only post reviews when service is above my expectations and HM Warm Spa definitely did just that! My partner, his best friend and myself were having a "Treat Yourself" kind of day and decided we wanted to get massages. We called to see if they could fit all three of us in and was the person who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful! After answering all our questions we went in. Upon arrival we were given hand sanitizer and a breakdown of what we would be getting. The place overall was very clean and well-kept! Customer service is great and they accept payment through Venmo which helped us avoid a trip to the bank. We got the one hour full body massage with hot stones and I can say I have never felt so relaxed! My masseuse was Mandy and she relieved some knots that I didn't even know I had! My partner was seen by Summer and his friend was seen by Lily. We left raving about how well each massage was but I'm sure they'll write their own reviews about their masseuse. The price is less than what you would expect for the amount of service you get! Will definitely be coming back here! read more

5 stars for massage services 3 stars for judgment. I've been coming to H M warm spa for over 5 years; I buy gift certificates for Mother's Day and Christmas every year. The service has been excellent. These ladies work hard despite the increase in prices I keep coming back. Mind you, I try to tip between 15% - 20%. I booked a last-minute couples massage as a gift for my husband and I, which we enjoyed. When it came time to pay, I was sad that I couldn't top the ladies more since it has become cash only in recent years but left a 15% tip when my husband paid the manager at the front desk looked annoyed and asked " you want to tip them that!?" She refused to take it and called the employees that had assisted us to come down and take it personally which we didn't mind but while I don't speak the language I could tell the manager was not speaking about us kindly which ended up ruining the experience overall, might have to try a different place if this is going to be experience. This is a fantastic massage spa. Very quiet and calm environment, the staff is very friendly and speaks quietly to keep the spa peaceful. And my masseuse Nancy was simply excellent. Very strong hands hit the right spots on my back and neck, where I am most sore from my long days at work in the hospital. She's very polite and very thorough with getting the tension out of my back. Clearly has a very good range of pressures. While I am not trained as a physician and not a massage therapist, I can tell that Nancy does her job well. The ambient music was quiet and the place was very clean. Highly recommended. Parking on the street, and it's not hard, especially at night. It's in Pasadena after all. read more

I used to be a simple foot massage kinda girl but Wendy made me appreciate the benefit of a 90 minute full body! I've never had to ask someone to not press so hard but everything just felt so great afterwards! I'm always on my feet for work and I've been going about every two weeks since my first 90 minutes and I have definitely slept better and felt more relaxed since! I've been to HM Warm Spa twice. The first time was two years ago when my bf brought me here for my very first ever deep tissue massage and the second was two weeks ago for my birthday..again with the bf. The first experience, I have to say, was more positive...but I'm also not sure because I had no other massages to compare it to. I don't remember much, other than the lady had went ham on my shoulders/back and I was just trying to let her go for it without telling her to lighten up ..esp since my mentality was no pain no gain lol. The only thing was I had a full face of makeup (which go figure...I don't recommend) and my face was pressed up against the circular pillow...which I'm not sure if I prefer tbh. I did specifically remember that they have showers so for those who don't like the oily feeling after a massage, that's def a plus! My last experience was more mediocre.. maybe more of a 3.5/5 star rating. My bf had called in the morning to set up a same day appt - two one hour deep tissue couple's massage with hot stones ($50 each). Since it was a random weekday, we knew that places would better accommodate us and we were able to make the appointments for two hours later. When we arrived, we were the only one customers in the spa (or so it seemed like...it was dead quiet). We were quickly welcomed and brought upstairs to our private room. My bf and I got two ladies (didn't catch their names, but one older and younger one haha). I have incredibly tense shoulders from having a desk job and driving so far every day, and I appreciated how the lady who did my massage was really working out the knots in my shoulder blades. She was going a little too hard and after she could feel that I was tensing up, she asked me if she should lighten up. I ended up agreeing. However, after that she lightened her grip too much. After she finished working out my shoulders, she moved to my back, and the massage literally felt like she was like using her forearm and going in repetitive circles. It felt like something I could have asked my bf to do. She switched off on both sides but I finally got the courage to tell her to go harder again. Looking back I just felt so disappointed throughout the massage because we couldn't get her pressure to my actual liking. It was either too hard to too soft. Afterwards I was able to check in with my bf and he felt pretty mediocre about his massage as well. He has pain issues with his midback but he had mentioned that his lady was mainly focusing on his shoulder area. All in all, I'm not too sure if I'd come back. I was surprised because if you read all the reviews - they're so positive..but I felt like my experience aligned with more of the negative ones. read more

On arrival , staff knew exactly what had been requested and Lisa proceeded to give me one of the best massages I've ever had. My frozen shoulder received a good stretch. The vibe was very relaxed. I'm a massage therapist and my most frequent question is who massages you? Where do you go when you need a massage and the answer is this place. I've been coming here for 4 or 5 years and it's consistently satisfying. The massage therapists are all very strong and address the body with respect and whenever my shoulder is more sore or I'd like a face massage that day they spend extra attention without sacrificing time on the rest of my body. I love that they use hot stones it really deepens the relaxation aspect of the session. I go in mangled more often than not and I always leave feeling very well cared for and put back together. My husband & I visited Pasadena last week, and had a couples massage. The price was reasonable, even with factoring in a tip. We had never tried the hot stone before as it is not offered often were we live, and it was amazing! The owner Amy was very kind & flexible when booking our appointment. I had Anna for my massage and my husband had Linda, we were both impressed! And after small airplane seats and traveling, we should have come sooner in our trip & booked the 90minute massage. I visited H&M Warm Spa for the first time for a 3pm appointment on 01/05/2018. I had a 90 minute "Value Massage" which is just $40. The value massages are done in a semi-private room (4 beds) in the downstairs level, and I had an excellent massage. My masseuse spent a good amount of time in several different areas. She started with the face/head, arms, front legs, feet, and then back. Everything she did was excellent. She was medium pressure almost everywhere and heavier pressure on the back. I could have adjusted it at anytime; however, there was no need to do so. After my 90 minutes, I felt kind of dazed and it took a while for my vision to become readjusted after I walked outside. Trust me, this is all good! Tipping -- please tip these people well. Think about this... $40 for 90 minutes. That is a super value. Tip these people well! I tipped $20, which I felt was appropriate. read more
