Started off waiting in line, but we were impressed at how quickly it moved. Got inside and placed our order with one of the girls at the register who was having a difficult time entering what we asked, but we're figuring she was new. We gave our table number to one of the staff and waited for our food as we were told to do, but after a very long time of waiting, we went down to investigate where the food was. Turns out it was sitting there forgotten about, but we're trying to cut them some slack since it was so busy. The food itself was great! We were sad to miss out on the donuts but that's on us for not getting there early enough. It was a satisfying breakfast to start our day! read more

Really good, check it out. Visiting the cape, wanted traditional breakfast, had teens with us. Favorite items were iced latte (though I was charged $1 for getting oat milk in the over $4 latte, I think it should be mentioned they charge extra for that), the cinnamon roll French toast - no syrup needed, and the maple bacon pancakes. We disagreed which was favorite. Though I'm not a fan of hash browns and never order them, these were square and like light fluffy mashed potatoes inside. No idea how, but were addictive. Worth getting. We were so hungry we couldn't get pictures, sorry. Wait staff was excellent. All around. Not too talkative and very friendly. Just great. read more

I love corned beef hash and this is likely the best I've ever had. It tastes like it was made with real like from St. Patrick's Day corned beef and has potatoes, carrots and other stuff with enough grease and crispy bits to really enhance the fried eggs on top (also perfectly cooked with thick runny but not raw yolks). And perfect potatoes, too. Yup, I was in the clean plate club today. My arteries can rejoice in that The Hole In One is far enough away to only be a once a year treat. Covid - the dining room is closed but there are 7 picnic tables and some Adirondack chairs outside. They'll bring your food out to you, but grab napkins, condiments,... on your way out. So disappointed. I've been coming here for years. There's no longer table service, and all the food is served in to go containers. They only has plastic utensils. There was a very rude woman working there as well who was nasty for no reason. The food is good, but it comes out cold and there were things missing from the order. You stand in a long line, order yourfood and go search for a table. It's really ridiculous. Don't think I'll be coming back, which is such a shame because it was a tradition. read more

Before covid, this was our go-to spot for a hearty breakfast. It's been a few years since we visited and our experience was very different this time. Food was okay. Apple fritter tasted under cooked. Very odd service since Covid. They hand you a menu while in line, then you sit at a table and wait for your order to be delivered. No cutlery, only plastic items, and food arrives in cardboard take out containers. We assumed they developed this low staff approach during covid, but it doesn't feel like I'm eating in a restaurant and food really was only okay. Plus, a terrible amount of paper and plastic waste to accommodate no table service and no dishwasher. read more

I've been coming here a long time and the donuts are the best. The food is great too but I'm tired of the people working the register not being able to take an order if you want to customize anything. We ended up with egg omelette with nothing in it because the woman said "she couldn't take the details ." You really have to use the website to order ahead and pick it up if you're customizing anything. I'm also tired of being asked to tip for picking up takeout where there's really no service so I've stopped doing that. You could argue they put it in a bag for the customers but isn't that what we should expect from a place of business as a minimum? Worth the trip and great food but basically can't take orders. I recommend their custom cakes here. Taste is excellent and they get it done on time with no hiccups. Actually cake was more than what I expected and served 12 one night and 10 the next. Sure we had thinner pieces but still, two large family dinners? We chose vanilla cake, lighter sugar frosting, with blueberry between cake layers. Yes yes yes! Coffees were good but the donuts were delicious worth every second you wait in line. I came in here on my quest to find the capes best coffee and while it wasn't the best it was a solid decent cup but when you paired it with the donut it really had my taste buds thirsty to come back for more! read more

Soo I did this thing where I was craving a donut at 1pm and absolutely NEEDED one. I had already stopped at 2 bakeries in the Cape but there were no donuts in sight (besides a sad-looking plain cake donut from a bakery that was clearly raided upon opening). I had Hole-in-One bookmarked for well over a year and remembered it as I was passing through Orleans. I looked over at my husband and said, "I need a donut. A jelly donut. I need it." He said (as any loving husband would), "Then let's get you a donut!" I knew this place was going to close in 2 hours so I wasn't expecting any donuts to be there at all. And if there just so happened to be some left, I was prepared for minimal selection. Well, I was pretty accurate in my thinking. There was not many donuts left...but there WERE donuts and to my surprise there was ONE JELLY STICK LEFT. I had to have it. And so I snagged that along with two glazed crullers. They also had some chocolate frosted, sour cream, and a few others. These donuts were delicious and I'd imagine all the other flavors are just as great. Right up my alley as far as donuts go. Huge, perfectly crispy, fresh, dense, perfect texture, and overall delicious. I knew from the photos on Yelp that these were going to be good and I was not disappointed. Cannot wait to head back here in the morning soon to get a dozen. In the meantime, I'll be dreaming about that jelly stick (that had a ton of filling unlike some places that fall short on the amount of filling). Totally worth a stop! Family of 5- two orders missing cheese: one was a tuna melt- other was a quinoa bowl supposed to have cheese on the side. Also missing salsa on the side. Food was mediocre. Long lines and it took 20 minutes to get food. Asked cashier about tuna melt with no cheese and missing sides but they took so long to help us and then I was told they could give us the cheese now- after meal half way eaten. I said I didn't want cold cheese now- wanted a refund- manager came out after about 10 minutes and she didn't apologize, threw me 2 dollars cash and abruptly walked away, obviously upset that I had the nerve to complain about an order they got wrong. Stopped for breakfast and there were highs and lows. First the highs ... Coffee with caramel cream was outstanding. Also the biscuit was great. But the sausage gravy and sausage patties were ok ... nothing special. I also hate eating out of styrofoam with plastic utensils indoors. On our way back from Provincetown, my girlfriend and I hangrily searched for a place that would serve breakfast with gluten free options (she is celiac) and stumbled upon this place. I ordered the California Benedict and it was one of the best Benedict's I've ever had. It was amazing. Their home fries were also the best. Our server was super attentive and sweet and it was a great experience all around. Can't wait to visit again on my way to (or from) P-Town! read more

Visited the Orleans location and Ordered egg and cheese on brioche and it was excellent! Egg was cooked perfect , brioche was fluffy and fresh and got the chicken sausage patty. Topped that off with a half dozen donuts for the office , these are by far the best donut on cape. If your looking for a real treat try the cinnamon roll , that's decadent! We have been to Eastham but Orleans has a really cool vibe with two tiers of seating and a really nice bright sunny eating area on the upper floor. A must visit if your in Orleans for breakfast or lunch or just to crush a few donuts! read more

Yeah, I'm disappointed that they went from table service to styrofoam containers despite Covid restrictions being gone for years. You can still eat inside, but you're eating from styrofoam. Good breakfasts, but it's just not the same. I'll go there once a year on my Cape vacation, but with a lot less enthusiasm. This was an absolute institution on the cape before Covid. Unfortunately they have failed to recover. Despite your dining preferences you will eat out of a cardboard container which causes your egg dish to really suffer. Previously I've told friends to skip the dining and just go for a doughnut and a coffee. No longer. Today's doughnuts were below Dunkin' in quality and cost about as much as a half dozen. If you want a pastry go to Eat Cake for Breakfast, if you want a hot breakfast try Kitchen Cafe. I hope they recover but it seems like a tail spin they may not recover from. read more
