I spent a comprehensive amount of time perusing all of the different options in Los Angeles -- there are a lot of options -- and finally decided upon Rodent Professor based upon proximity and reviews. I wanted an estimate not only on rodent prevention but also disinfecting the basement and vacuuming up the existing rodent droppings. Since this is the first time I have used such a service, I did not know what sort of cost was involved and was surprised to see online estimates ranging into the thousands of dollars, so I prepared myself for the assumed cost. Nate from Rodent Professor came out promptly at the appointed time and inspected the entire house -- basement, attic, inside the house itself -- and pointed out several potential points of entry into the basement and attic. Later in the day, I received an estimate via email that was in the expected cost range but at the lower end. I decided to proceed with the work. Nate and crew showed up promptly on time and were very efficient in screening all of the openings in the house, in addition to disinfecting the basement and vacuuming. Since their service, I've heard nothing and seen nothing in terms of rodent activity. This positive review is based upon several aspects of their service: excellent communication, being on time, efficiency of work and total overall cost. Highly recommended.

After my initial call, I knew I had made the right choice. The agent who answered my call was very helpful, friendly, understanding, and professional. I scheduled an appointment, and after one treatment, all bug problems were gone. Fast forward to a week ago. I saw a single water bug run across my front lawn while watering. Fearing these pests had returned and taken over the bottom of my home, I called this company again. The agent I spoke with was very friendly and professional, just like the first time I called four years ago. I arranged an inspection at a time that fit my schedule, which I really appreciated, unlike other companies that just tell you when they're available. On the day of my appointment, Joe came out and did a full inspection. Joe told me he found moisture in two areas under my home (I will contact a plumber soon), but the good news is that he didn't see any live water bugs--only a few dead ones. Joe was very friendly and polite, taking time to explain several options his company offers to prevent bugs from coming back. I will be using this company in the upcoming weeks for prevention. Joe also said there would be no charge for his visit--thank you! The day I called Peter came right out that day and sprayed the horrible male hormone and it got her attention but she was stubborn and Peter left on vacation so then Leo took over.He went back under and sprayed this time took a video of her with her babies and we had to do 4 attempts total to get her to leave, the last night he sprayed for the last time was a little sad I have to say as she pushed the adorable babies out the opening....as they left a coyote showed up and I had to scare him off several times she grab the little ones and pulled them up the tress ...she totally knew how to handle the situation and so did all city....wont hesitate to call on them when needed again!

5 stars I had a great experience with Homeshield Pest Control, and Andrik specifically did an awesome job. We had a pretty serious black widow issue around the exterior of the house, especially near the windows, eaves, patio furniture, and other areas around the property. Andrik was thorough, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He started by knocking down all the visible webs, then treated the exterior foundation, doors, windows, cracks, crevices, entryways, and the full perimeter of the house. After that, he walked the property and inspected for any conditions that could contribute to the problem coming back. What I appreciated most was how detailed and careful he was. He didn't just spray and leave. He actually took the time to inspect everything and make sure the job was done right. Since the treatment, I've noticed a huge improvement and feel much better about the house and yard. Highly recommend Homeshield Pest Control, and definitely ask for Andrik if you can. Brian K was timely, informative, didn't rush me and very kind. The company overall from answering their phones, being very polite and professional, as well as applying their own deals and discounts that I didn't even now about is very much appreciated. Brian communicated him timing so I didn't have to stay home all day and is returning in 2 weeks free to assess after today's initial treatment! The monthly payment is a written warranty with 100% satisfaction guaranteed and they will add additional free services between the quarterly for uptick in pest activity, which is really reassuring. Brian locked up on his way out and kept me informed along the way of what to expect. He also made recommendations on possible entry points for pests and was very professional. He didn't try to upsell me on anything and did exactly what Justin said they'd do when I initially called! From our first meeting with HomeShield until now (about 8 months), we've had a recurring rodent issue and eventually resolved the issue on our own. We were offered potential solutions but didn't receive any follow up and it's been extremely difficult to get in touch with Brian as well as other managers. I am disappointed in the service and quality that was provided to us upfront prior to paying versus the communication and service afterwards. We've lost 2 sets of couches on top of paying out of pocket for various traps and containers. Every time I've called and asked to speak with someone, I was told they're busy and will reach back out to me that same day. I waited for a call but never received one and this occurred multiple times. As a customer, the lack of communication and clarity for the past 8 months was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We appreciated all friendliness and professionalism in the beginning but I wished that it had remained consistent. read more

I recently switched to this company after getting little to no customer service from my prior pest control company. From the initial inspection visit, I was impressed with their knowledge, candor, and just awesome overall customer service I really didn't think they could do better than they had already done but today August 31, 2023 the manager by the name of Dee came by to do a rodent inspection of my attic and much to my horror, It is a regular battlefield up there. This gentleman took the reins and provided me with a total superior breakdown of what needed to be done, and being a retired and disabled military veteran with a limited budget he worked with me on the bottom price. Very disappointing experience. I chose HomeShield Pest Control because of their great reviews, but unfortunately my experience was completely different. They gave me a service window from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, which is already a very long window. I stayed home all afternoon waiting for them. At 4:58 PM, just two minutes before the appointment window ended, the technician texted me saying he was still 20 minutes away. I asked for a manager to call me, but no one ever did. In the end, the technician never showed up at all. A customer should not have to wait for hours and only be notified at the last minute that the technician is running late. Richard came out for our initial visit and he was very thorough and personable. He showed up during the expected time frame and answered all our questions. Called Orkin to compare prices and they were MUCH more expensive and then they tried to pressure me into making an appointment with them immediately. I found a dead roach in my home on Monday, and immediately called HSPC! They were so easy to work with, and had people out to my apartment on Wednesday morning. Dee and Roderick called me the morning of to let me know when to expect them. Upon arrival, they were extremely efficient! No more spider webs, crickets, or other creepy crawlies! Hello, This message…read moreis to inform you of my negative experience with your company today. I scheduled a visit and fumigation for today 4/7 (this was also coordinated with my apartment property management group). I set aside time for this appointment from 9am-11am, I have a regular 9-5 job so I had to coordinate time off for this visit. I checked in with your team at 9:30am for an eta, and hour later at 10:30am I was informed I would need to reschedule the appointment due to an access issue which your team knew since 9:01am. My issue here is 2 parts, one I was not given the courtesy of informing me the appointment would be canceled (which your team knew for an hour and a half). So I wasted my time off and I wasn't given the courtesy early on that the appointment was canceled or needed to be rescheduled. My 2nd issue is that there was no access issue as the technician stated because I was able to access my apartment without a problem. After talking with your staffing about how unprofessional this was, at 10:50 I was told the technician was on route, (so the access issue was not a problem?). So I canceled my already canceled appointment, I wasn't going to waste more of my time. Then to top it off, my apartment property management group told me that if I reschedule and cancel the appointment when the tech is on route, I would need to pay a trip fee. How ridiculous and absurd that I should be responsible for your teams lack of communication, accountability, and unprofessionalism. Instead of taking the opportunity to correct a negative experience your team doubled down. I would need to take time out of my day and job, to accommodate your team again, which has already proven they are unreliable and will point the finger at the customer. Terrible customer service, a complete lack of respect for your customer's time, and simply unreasonable.

Another company I called did not go underneath the house or inspect for subterranean infections. Just had a generic plan for all. Hydrex found the areas that had subterranean termites and treated the area and sounding areas. I called them back to treat my garage for both wood termites and subterranean. I am so grateful to had found Jason. They are my go to for any type of infestation termites, spiders, vermin, bees, and snakes! Great value. Highly recommend Hydrex.
