So I purchased a car here back in February of this year. Things did not go so well, and I decided to wait on posting a review so see if my viewpoint would change over time. It did not. I felt as though I was taken advantage of here. I had specifically asked for certain features to be left out, and ended up getting charged with them anyway. For far more than the actual cost for the equipment. For anyone considering purchasing the Karr security system....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! It is a scam through the dealership that only costs them a couple hundred dollars, and they charge you thousands for it. Total and complete deception. Massive profit for the business while the customer has no idea they just got robbed. It is a hackjob of spliced wires that leaves your car vulnerable to malfunction.. This is exactly what happened to me. Only three months into owning the car, the wires to the Karr security system have caused faults within the greater system. I'm stuck paying over a thousand dollars on a car that is 4 months old. Jason and Brian are complete scam artists, as is the personnel in sales. I advise you all to stay away from this dealership as all they care about is commission. The customer is the last thing they care about. Sad...businesses used to have so much more integrity. This was the first car for my 16-year-old son, and they turned it into a complete joke and letdown for all of us. read more

Service was quick for a Saturday morning, but my appointment wasnt in their system even though I had proof of scheduling through email and text. Luckily they were still able to service my car. However, after a quick cleaning, I noted a good amount of new scratches that appeared post taking it in. I will not be returning to this dealerships service center! read more

So example they were offering 20,000 but they said u will only get $18,200 because u have to pay the sales tax. They are tricksters and Swindlers . Shopping for a new car, looking at the Clarity PHEV (plug in hybrid) and found the color and trim I wanted. Negotiated with Bill B for a few days by email and comes up with a staggering deal. Was quoted $292 including tax on a $34K car! So naturally they came in the lowest and stopped into pick her up. Ran my credit and the sales manager approved the deal. There was an issue with a $500 incentive that was not well known but was legitimate from American Honda Motors. They wanted me to pay them $500 to hold if the incentive does not get paid out. That was very fishy because all they had to do was submit the certificate with the preauthorized letter and my state ID. The GSM had to also approve the deal. BUT once it reached the F&I manager, she said I could not have it for that price originally quoted. She said the price is now $330 per month. I ask why and she says I don't have Tier 1+ credit to get the base rate. I then tell her that I qualify for Honda tier bump because of my past lease with Honda Financial. She comes back and says $325 per month. I said - you can keep your car and left. That's when I found another Honda dealer in Cerritos that I left a review for them - where they bumped me up to to Tier 1+ because they ran my credit thru Honda Financial and they told the dealer that I am "In Good Standing". That gave me the best money factor (interest rate) for the lease and got the car from another dealer. This dealership is very sneaky and slimy at best. When they promise a price, never expect them to honor it. They will find something to increase their sales profit! While walking around the dealership, I noticed they add on $2,000 or more of "dealer added accessories" such as plastic door edge guards, paint protection, and other nonsense dealer markup. Don't usually write reviews but my experience at this dealer was excellent and Ron my salesman made it a great experience as well ask for him he'll get you right! I had an issue at a different Honda dealer and made a call here because they had a similar Honda accord I was looking for Ron and I were able to come to an agreement on pricing so I made the drive when we got there the car was set aside and ready for us to drive. While showing us the car Ron was very knowledgeable and non intimidating made the experience very pleasing. Me being experienced in car buying would recommend him to anyone getting their first car or if you're intimidated by car salesman. So not only did Ron know everything about the car and didn't pressure us with any extra add ons he also honored the price we agreed on. While we began the purchase of the vehicle he got the car gassed up, detailed for us. The car is in great condition I would trust buying vehicles at this dealer. I would 10000% come back here and purchase my next vehicle. I would look for Ron of course because he's honest, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor! For a first time buyer of a brand new car it a nightmare. Honda Van Nuys, are not reliable coz It's very unusual, normally if you bought a brand new car it's should be hassle free with complete accessories ready and available prior to release and some will even provide freebies & not unending issues coz that's the main point of buying a new one. it is supposedly stress free. Unfortunately, I had very bad experienced with Honda Van Nuys not to mentioned the overpricing. No proper coordination in terms of giving instructions in relation to trade in vehicle, particularly my dashboard camera that was attached in my old vehicle which I told them I need to get and yet they intentionally damaged it because of negligence. In addition, I need to come back & forth just to get the extra key pod and now I need to wait for the car manual to be mailed as to when, I don't know? they told me it's not available yet since it is missing. I purchased a vehicle back in December 31st. They had sold me on additional packages that I subsequently requested to have cancelled in January 10th. They never sent the updated cancellation to Honda financing and as a result, I've been accumulating interest due to a massive oversight by the dealership. Upon trying to contact them, they've referred me to email them/have ignored my concerns. I am highly dissatisfied with the unprofessionalism and the lack of follow-up. Could not recommend this dealership more. After a horrible experience getting my first car, I was very hesitant walking into any dealership. However, I was greeted by Ibrahim. He answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly. He made the process extremely smooth and didn't make me feel forced into a purchase. He allowed me to take my time and look at different models and colors. I ended up picking a 2024 Honda hr-v ex-l. Amazing decision, I would 100% recommend. In addition, the finance manager Taz did a fantastic job explaining all aspects of financing. Again, due to my poor experience at galpin Mazda I asked several questions. I purchased my vehicle in 2019 and was happy with it. Fast forward 3 yrs and I am not so happy. The paint on my Mirrors and door handles peeled off and some of the plastic parts they use just crumbled at the slightest touch. I had read that Honda had a problem with their paint and was warranting it but not in my region. I cannot figure that out. The vehicle drives great but the paint SUCKS. So I haven't had air-conditioning in my car for two years and I found out about the Honda recall for the ac.... Well well, Honda did a diagnostic in 2022 and said it was my evaporator.... They said it wasn't covered by the warranty and wanted to charge me $3000. Jeremiah the service advisor informed me about the diagnostic findings she couldn't email me because it had been longer than three months which made no sense but anyway, he told me this over the phone: they did something to the condenser and inserted dye inside due to leaking out of ac adapter behind dash.... The dye showed multiple leaks...No dye under hood took out blower mode Evaporator has oil spots. I don't know. It made no sense to me. I asked him to explain it to me, but he basically just explained that it was the evaporator. So I decided to take it to a well trusted mechanic who ran a diagnostic on it and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my evaporator. There was no leaks or dye or anything that they could find. This person even took the time to show me everything... so Honda basically wanted to charge me $3000 for nothing being wrong with my car. Do NOT GO TO HONDA VAN NUYS!!!!! I am going to call the Better Business Bureau and I am going to complain. I want that $150 back for that BS diagnostic you guys did. read more

I got a lease from Greg and felt like non of the important details of what would be included in my lease / car payment was addressed in our conversations. Mileage / mark up / add ons that made the car $7000 more expensive we're completely disregarded In our discussion. I wanted to best deal and was there last 10pm. Every paper I signed with the finance manager seemed extremely rushed , he didn't even have the correct car name on the documents he wanted me to sign . I will never work with this location again . Same as Keyes Honda, so I give it the same review. If only I could leave zero stars... My wife and I had an 8pm appointment to test drive a hybrid. When we arrived on time, they weren't ready for us. We waited a few minutes for someone to help us. She told us she would have them prep the car for our drive. After 35 minutes we were told we wouldn't be able to test drive the hybrid we were supposed to drive. It had just arrived that day and had to be inspected before being driven. We left with no apology. Our only contact from them since has been spam emails. I had another miserable experience with their service department. That review is under their Service Department Yelp account. Owners Howard Keyes and Howard Tenenbaum need to pay more attention to customer service. read more

As an update per the Business manager we emailed the Sales Manager no response. We went back today to ask and try again. They dropped the purchase price from 28500 to 26500 then demanded i mean DEMANDED add-ons raising the price back to 31500. My mom's trade was 22400 down to 21000. Let's just say again this dealer is a rip off. JUST LOOK at the numbers. They should know in a time dealers are not selling and in fact hurting you might not want to treat customers like this. Add one should not be mandatory if we don't choose them. Don't mark up the price. Don't low ball trades amd claim "blue book" no one useless blue book they use average sales price in our county that would be 25500 for a 2022 VW Tiguan R Line fully loaded. One of the worst experiences I've ever had at any dealership. I called for a car that they were prepping to sell. Edgar told us the car was ready 3 times when it was not. Wasted my time when he could have simply checked theur own shop/system. I even had to call the sales manager to ask when the car will actually be ready. Louie doesn't care about customers. The worst part is we agreed upon a price over the phone. Edgar agreed and said he was sending over a contract (never did). Not only did they completely disregard the price we agreed upon when we showed up, but one of their sales manager Louie literally made us feel worthless. He told us "I'm doing this for the better of our company" when we asked if they can work with us on the price. Not only did he not want to bring the price down or work with us at all, but he mocked my partners condition where he shakes uncontrollably. He can't help it, but Louie made sure to say "Stop shaking I can't see what you're trying to show me" and "Stop shaking it's just a car." Well we've been searching for that exact car for months, so no, it's not just a car for us. Edgar was even defending the negotiated price but Louie made sure to make us feel insane for asking. I also asked Louie to leave us alone after all of it and he yelled and got very rude while he was walking away. I left like I was dealing with an abusive person, the way Louie got aggressive it the scariest thing I've ever, I felt like he was ready to punch us. Never coming here again. read more

Sold my Honda Civic to them 2 weeks ago, they promised me (Christopher Kelly and Sydney Bob) that the check will be sent out in 1-2 days. 3 days later they contacted me to come back to Keyes because there was a signature that they forgot to ask me for. I went to sign and needed a guarantee that my check will be available at the same week and Sydney said yes and guarantees it. Bait-and-switch. Called here yesterday asking for an estimate for a lease. First representative I spoke with told me they have a great special (not including tax) and that they have two vehicles in stock for that rate. I've been shopping around for a while - so the price did sound competitive - however it was memorial weekend. He encouraged me to schedule an appointment for the following day. I told him that I'm coming all the way from Santa Monica and that I don't wish to waste either my time or theirs - that I have a very specific price range. He reassured me that the special was within the price range - so we scheduled the appointment. Moments after we hung up - I get a call from another rep. (Greg). He returned my call since my first attempt went to voice mail. I told Greg that I already scheduled an appointment. To make sure I was given the right estimate, I told Greg the information I was given. He confirmed that information was right. I reiterated to him as well that I'm coming from Santa Monica, and that I have a specific price range. I told him I don't want to drive all the way only to be slapped with a completely different price range. He told me the estimate was right and that they are committed to make a deal happen as long as I am. Today I drove all the way from Santa Monica for my appointment. A manager approached the table - and we started talking. I told him what I discussed with his reps. and immediately he says I was given the wrong information - not even in the ballpark - in fact he gave me the range I told Greg that I don't want to be slapped with when I arrive. He excused the "mistake" saying that both reps. I spoke with were new. I believe the first one was, however Greg introduced himself as a sales manager over the phone - which is why I asked him to confirm the rate when he called. Also, Greg was sitting at the table next to us with other clients - and he was dressed in a black shirt like the manager I spoke with (different from other employees at the store). I wish this was an isolated incident with Honda - however I had a similar if not worse experience with Honda of Santa Monica. Won't be leasing or buying a Honda in the near future. read more
