Keyes Honda of Van Nuys This is what has been happening chronologically: 1a. Picked up car 9/08/2019 It was not ready. Glue on exterior. Julio, myself and my partner Jim were removing the glue. The upholstery spray not done. Had to make a separate appt at service appt. I was not aware of this. I feel like I was pushed out the door. I would have never taken the car if I had known there would be such problems. 1b. black specks in chrome/sent Julio photos he says water spots. They are inside the finish. He told me to addresss when I go to service. 1c. small chip on back passenger door. I sent Julio photo telling him chip NOT GLUE. 1d. Chip repaired(courtesy repair at Honda Westminster when getting a second opinion about black specks in chrome. they didn't know what specks were). Told go to where I bought the car. They should make good on the purchase. 2. Really unhappy and not able to enjoy the car at this point. 3a. 09/19-09/20/19 paint and uph coating appointment 3b. asked about black specks in chorme. no one knows what it is. specks in the finish. not outside the finish 4a. 09/30/19 hard cargo cover arrived. Julio promised at car purchase free installation. I get there on time and there is a problem. I was clear to Julio more than 3x about a install fee but he insisted it slides in(not the hardcover). I tried to tell him that's why I wanted an agreement. He did listen to me. I called Julio then I had to wait while Miguel talk to Sabrina in sales. I talked to her and explained what Julio promised. I had to pay for the hard cover( I could not use the Costco coupon). They waived the labor. *I missed my appt time and ended up spending 6 HOURS there. 5a. 09/30/19 they ordered chrome pieces because they don't know what it is and could not fix. 5b. 10/17/2019 parts finally came in. 5c. 10/21/19 new chrome flawed. No one bothered to check before having me come in. WASTED MY TIME. 5d. 10/21/19 new pieces ordered 6. Miguel called and said parts came in and are fine. 7a. 10/30/19 left car there 7b. 10/31/19 LARGE PANEL SCRATCHES obvious scratches. They tried to rub out but no luck. Once again WASTED MY time and gasoline for me and my ride. (where is the damage happening???) Fernando just tries to explain it off as no a big deal. I bought a new car not a used flawed car. He said he would reorder for the 3rd time. I left with my ride and Fernando called within 1/2 hour stating he located a part and it looks really good and I would be happy. 7c. two drivers dropped off the car at my location. The chrome(large panel) part looked really good. Wait for it!!!!!!!! 7d. 11/01/19 I moved the car into the driveway. I was looking at the piece again. IT IS A DIFFERENT COLOR. 7e. I thought it was my imagination. I went by another honda dealer to see if I was dreaming. The color is from a different model(Touring???) I asked the salesman to take a look. He said 'different color, you're not dreaming.' IF YOU'RE GOING TO REPLACE A PIECE OF A DIFFERENT COLOR WHY NOT REPLACE ALL THREE PIECES. Unless one could not tell the difference. I don't know. This is poor service at least. Did my flawed piece go on another car? Is someone driving around with the 2 side pieces I need/that match the different color part that is now on my car? Who knows? I can't believe this is happening. 8. 11/03/19 left Miguel text message about what happened. I didn't know if he was aware. No return call that day. 9. 11/03/19 called Sabrina at sales - no call back that day 10. 11/04/19 called Sabrina again. I let her know what was happening regarding the chrome saga I told her I can not interact with Fernando anymore. I don't like the blow off explanations. Wanting me to accept whatever he throws out there. It's insulting. Sabrina suggested I deal with Janel(spelling?). 11a 11/04/19 I spoke with Janel and explained what has been happening with the chrome saga. She requested I send her picture via text of the chrome. The pictures didn't show the color difference like the naked eye would. Make no mistake it is different. 11b. She received the photos and she asked if it was the big piece that surrounds the H emblem I was referring to. I said yes and that is the last I heard from her. 12. 11/05/19 Miguel called and I repeated what happened with different color chrome installation and Sabrina's referred me to Janel. AS OF TODAY SATURDAY NOVEMBER 9, 2019 5:12 P.M. I HAVE RECEIVED NO CALL BACK. I'VE OWNED THIS CAR 2 MONTHS AS OF TODAY AND HAVE SPENT TOO MUCH TIME IN SERVICE. I HAVE GOTTEN NO ENJOYMENT WITH MY CAR. I thought I bought a new car but I bought a damaged car at a NEW CAR PRICE. I'm very unhappy about the whole situation. I've had two months of unhappiness. I regret making the purchase. read more

Taz!! Taz!! Taz!! The one and only person you need to see when you go to Keyes Honda on Van Nuys or even if you are just in the market to buy or lease a Honda. If you are in the market for a car and you've made your purchase without atleast talking to this guy. I can assure you that you have missed out on a great deal and even a better car buying experience. First of their used car pricing is ridiculously competetive and combine that with world class customer service and knowledgeable Sales person like Taz. You are in for a car buying experience that is unmatchable. I have been shopping for an used car for a while and have talked to several dealerships in the area, but as soon as I got on the phone with Taz, his phone etiquette and the confidence he had in the product he was selling forced me to actually go in to the dealership, to see the car in person which I have been avoiding in these times but Taz assured me a safe and clean environment for me to shop at. I was hesitant to come in to the dealership but upon arrival my car was disinfected and ready for me to test drive in the front. He first made sure I wasn't sick. He assured me my safety as well. After test driving the car I wanted to continue my shopping at that point Taz presented me with a few more options. He was very transparent about the value of the car as well as the sale price he helped me get a warranty and a security system that will keep my investment safe. He made sure I understood what I was paying for. And it was beneficial for me. The finance manager Ross was also extremely polite, fun to work with and insightful in to the products I was buying. Overall Taz made sure I was well taken care of I left the dealership with a car when I just came to look. Taz walked me thru the new technology on the car thoroughly. I am a bit technologically challenged so when I got home I was having a bit hard time to connect my garage door opener Taz after work came by the house to pair my garage door remote. He took time out of his day and go out of his way to make sure this was a car buying experience that's going to stay with us for years to come. First time car buyer here. To be completely transparent, I was extremely intimidated by the idea of buying a car. It's a big commitment and takes a lot of research. I knew I wanted a Honda because they last a long time, but didn't really know where to go from there. I got extremely lucky finding Keyes Honda in Van Nuys. It was the first dealership I went to, just because it was close to my house. I made an appointment and got there about 15 minutes early. Even though I was early, they got me right in to test drive a vehicle. I was met by Michael Indzheyan, who was super friendly and made the entire process stress free. He immediately put me at ease and answered all of my questions. Everyone I talked to was genuine and you could tell they really care about getting people the right car for the right price. It wasn't about games or tricks, which is what I usually picture when I think about car salesmen (no offense). Dean Quashen was the sales manager on duty and came several times to check on us and make sure we were satisfied. He made us feel very at home and encouraged me to come back any time if I needed anything. That was very reassuring for me and especially for my mom, who lives a few hours away. Ross Malinger was awesome too. I'm telling you, every step of the way was great. I was met by a friendly face (behind a mask) with a great attitude. He talked me through all of my paperwork (forms) and answered every single question I had. Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel like Honda was without a doubt the right decision for my first car. They have tables spread out on the sales floor to maintain social distancing. Everyone was wearing a mask and there were hand sanitizer stations all over the building. I felt extremely safe and appreciated the extra steps to making sure everyone was comfortable. Overall, 12/10 experience. I feel like I got a great car for the best possible price and I would recommend anyone I know personally to go to this dealership. My mom and I will probably come back in a few months to get her a car as well. I interacted with several dealerships around Los Angeles in my search for a new car, and my experience at Keyes Honda was the best. I did the first part of my interaction with them online, getting a solid quote, and then went in person to test drive and (ultimately) purchase. Taz, in particular, was welcoming, patient, knowledgeable, and personable, and, for the most part, avoided the high-pressure tactics I experienced elsewhere, which earned my respect and helped me feel confident about making the purchase. He frequently double-checked with me to make sure I was getting the information and experience (in the test drive, for example) that would give me both data and space to decide on my own terms what I wanted. And he made a point of spending low-pressure time with me after the purchase, too, to introduce me to my new car and make sure I felt solid on the basics before I drove away. In general, everyone seemed friendly and I liked that the atmosphere was low-stress and welcoming overall. Like all new-car dealerships I've interacted with, frustratingly, Keyes still tried to sell me a suite of extras at the last minute that added substantially to the price I had been quoted; at every place I went, including Keyes, the forceful "extras" sales pitch was my least favorite part of the experience. I'm still ranking Keyes highly because I'm not sure it's possible to find a location that doesn't do that -- it's probably a systemic industry problem, not a Keyes-specific problem -- but I dislike the practice and in my personal experience it was the one unpleasant part of this purchase, the one moment when I felt like leaving rather than buying. Still, at Keyes, they were open to dialogue, and after the conversation, I got a deal I was quite happy with. Definitely do your research and know your needs and budget before going to this dealership just as you would for any other; you shouldn't be talked into something you can't afford or absolutely don't want. So that's the caveat. Having said that, of the several places I went on this search, Keyes was the best in terms of both experience and value. read more

Sincere and well deserved review I want to take the time to explain the hardship of shopping for cars these days , tireless efforts to get a good deal and a decent service are almost impossible to be found these days. Prices are up beyond proportion , interest rates even to someone like me with over 800 score are not as friendly as they were pre-pandemic and other reasons , I am sure many can relate. I usually help my sister on every lease she is signing to make sure I can get the best for her . She is gifted on many things , car negotiation is not a strong suit of her . To make long story short as much as I can I have to say everything took turns for the goods once we entered Keyes Honda in Van Nuys . One of the nicest guys Victor greeted us and literally catered to us for as long as we were there trying to get the best price for us for my sister budget . We said goodnight after almost 2 hours promising we will come back if we can work out a better formula. Victor got to work talking to managers , Top Sales executives etc . Than he contacted us , we went there and took the exact car my sister wanted , once we entered the finance office to sign , a young guy by the name of Russ Malinger greeted us . I asked .. what is your father name Russ? He answered , Brian . I smiled and asked him , Do you remember me ? He said , I thought it was you but I was not sure . Turns out I helped Russ family relocate few times over 20 some years ago and when I wanted to buy a car , Brian his father got me the best deal. What a small world. to summarize it all the experience at Keyes Honda Van nuys was pleasant , proffessional , super courteous and for sure sparked a happy memory for me when I met Russ again who made the paper sigining proccess the easiest I ever had . My recommendation is If you are looking for a HONDA do not go anywhere other than KEYES HONDA in VAN NUYS and ask for VICTOR You will be very happy you did . I had such an amazing experience working with Victor at Honda of Van Nuys that I truly felt he deserved a review. Over the years, Victor has helped both my brother and me with leasing and purchasing Hondas, and every single experience has been exceptional. What I appreciate most is that he genuinely listens. I was very honest with him about my budget and financial limits, and instead of pressuring me, he spent hours going over every possible option to help me find a vehicle that was realistic for me while still being something I truly loved. Thanks to him, I was able to get a beautiful vehicle even with a tight budget, which I honestly did not think was possible. Victor is patient, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly caring. Last week, I visited your dealership to consider purchasing a used Honda Accord, which was priced at $31,991. I sat down with a salesman named Jorge Gurrola, expecting a cordial, customer-focused interaction. However, he seemed more interested in boosting his own commission rather than ensuring the customer's needs were met. When I compared the price of the car with other similar models in the market, and proposed a reasonable reduction, Jorge played what seems to be a classic trick. He insinuated that he would knock off $900 from the price. But moments later, his tune dramatically changed. He claimed that he could only offer me a mere $200 discount - a blatant, unabashed lie. The shocker came the following day when I found the same car advertised for $30,989. I called Jorge, to demand an explanation, and he started stuttering and stammering, incapable of providing a truthful answer. I offered him a second chance to match the price of a car I was viewing on Saturday, but again, he was adamant about sticking to his "new" advertising price. It was clear to me that he was certainly not interested in winning my business. The audacious demeanor of your salesman left me feeling exploited, infuriated and disrespected. Prospective customers are not dumb. We do our homework. And the bull-shit conning tactics that Jorge displayed were not only disgraceful but also counterproductive. A lot of dealers & companies in general CLAIM to be the type of people that will fight for you & unfortunately that is NOT always the case. & I have to say here at Keyes Honda, they actually fought to get me in the car I LOVED & WANTED but also got me a draw jobbing deal! Elmira is LOVELY, super fun to work with and made me feel at home. Shes got an amazing heart & gave me the best customer service that I have ever had in my entire life from ANYONE in a car industry. Stevie is very comfortable to work with.. Almost like a good fatherly figure. He made sure to talk with me 1 on 1 to understand my needs & Sheppard me through this process to find what was the best fit for my current situation & was able to accurately portray that to the bank & push for an outstanding approval Greg super cool and down to earth. Very relatable and I felt like he really fought for my approval At first I didn't think that I was gonna leave with anything based off my past history & experiences But he would not take no for an answer. In a nutshell, he got my monthly payment 150$ lower than what the bank was asking & the down payment was a no brainer Rick the general manager was VERY involved and even took the time to spend 15 minutes with me even though he had a VERY busy day he was able to assume me that his team is trained to help the customer All in all, I left so happy I can't even put it into words. WARNING!!! Stay away from this dealership. DAN QUASHEN is as crooked as they come. He's a sexist, manipulative, double-talking snake that will look at you with a smile (because this is what happened to me last night) while LYING STRAIGHT TO YOUR FACE. Then he'll have the audacity to fain innocence. I took my LEMON 2017 Honda Accord in for dangerous electrical repairs for the sixth time, desperately wanting out of this dangerous vehicle. Well, let me tell you, DAN SMELLED BLOOD!!! His salesperson ALMA gave me a BAIT and SWITCH price over the phone then acted completely innocent when I called her out on it. Dan is hovering like a predictor over my shoulder while I'm talking to her at the dealership then swoops in to tell me I'm the one who's wrong and they NEVER QUOTE MONTHLY PAYMENTS WITH THE TAX INCLUDED. This is my fifth and LAST HONDA. Honda is no longer the company it once was. I had to take my husband into the dealership before DAN would give me numbers. While I was there alone, he verbally patted me on the head and said, "Don't worry about the numbers. I'll take care of you. Just test drive the car then we'll talk." HIS EXACT WORDS. He didn't respect me enough to discuss business until my HUSBAND was present. He all but showed me the pretty mirrors and shiny dashboard. I feel totally disrespected as a woman by this HONDA dealership. I will be taking this up with Honda corporate as well as a Lemon Lawyer. However, PLEASE DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE LYING THIEVES. I had a deeply disappointing experience at Keyes Honda in Van Nuys. During a recent visit, Rudy, a parts associate, yelled at me, a customer. I immediately reached out to management for assistance, but I received no response or update for an extended period. Today, Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at 10:20 AM, I finally received a call from the parts manager. Unfortunately, the conversation only added to my frustration. The manager's response was dismissive and unprofessional. He essentially told me, "I'm sorry you took it that way," implying that the issue was with my perception rather than addressing the unacceptable behavior of their employee. He stated that their employee denied yelling, and since there was no "evidence," they would not take further action beyond possibly discussing tone with Rudy. The manager's repeated use of phrases like "you may have perceived," "you felt," and "miscommunication" was patronizing and insulting, as if I was not competent to recognize when someone was yelling at me. This approach not only deflected responsibility but also minimized my experience as a customer. I am disappointed by how this situation was handled. There was no accountability, no sincere apology, and no meaningful action taken. It seems clear that Keyes Honda in Van Nuys is more concerned with protecting their employees behaviors than ensuring a respectful and positive experience for their customers.
