It had a great savory taste with chunks of bacon and cheese, a flaky and fluffy inside, and a crusty exterior. I wished it came with a sauce, but that was on me for not opting for the upcharge of getting one. You can enjoy your food inside (not a lot of seating inside though) or step outside to take in the view of the water. This was attended on a food tour and I also bought food on my own. They had a number of different types of biscuits along with sandwiches as well. The food took some time to come out, but there were a lot of orders coming in it seemed like. A regular biscuit was tried on the food tour which was tasty. It was buttery and flaky. I also had a crab melt ($14.50) and the fried chicken sandwich ($12.75). The crab melt consisted of Dungeness crab with Beecher's and Tillamook cheeses with green onion on a butterhole biscuit. This was great. The crab mixed with the blends of cheeses combined with the flaky biscuit made for an appetizing sandwich. I would have preferred a little more filing, however. The fried chicken sandwich was a fried chicken thigh with mayo and pickles on a butterhole biscuit. This was my preferred choice of the two sandwiches. Honestly these were the driest biscuits I've ever had in my entire life. Seattle as a whole is challenged when it comes to well made, flavorful biscuits, but to serve what I had with biscuit in the name was surprising. Before, the dough base was using coconut milk so it was a bit too rich/heavy for me so it was just on occasion. Fast-forward to this week, I just learned they switched to oat milk base in their vegan biscuits. Just a really cool transition and prompted me to try this out. I decided to try the vegan sandwich and it was pretty good! Height is a smidgens too tall for a mouthful bite so no shame in treating it like an open-face sandwich and eating it in halves. The B&G (biscuits & gravy) was also a cozy old favorite. The staff were just friendly, chill & receptive to any questions I had. They run a cool medium cafe kiosk in a big spacious recently built and open-air interior space. You gotta dig the big exposed wooden structural members and floor-to-ceiling windows. read more

If that was the problem, I think Honest Biscuits has really stepped it up in that department. The service we got was fast and friendly. They also have lots of breakfast and lunch sandwich options for $7-10. There were not a ton of people before us, and it still took a while for our biscuits to come out. I ordered the butterhole with honey and was pretty disappointed. The outside is nice and crunchy but the inside is very bread-y. The biscuits really aren't a great texture and I would have expected them to be more flakey. They are also so so undersalted.
