So I have debated whether or not to share this, but I think it's important so I will. My family and I have been here a hand full of times with pretty good service and okay food. It's not amazing, but it's what you would expect. The staff has been friendly enough. And I do like their grill. However, this most recent time there was quite different. We were greeted and sat like any other time, the table was clean and my family went to get food while I ordered drinks. When they got back I left to get my food. As I was going through the buffet, one of the workers came up to me to tell me he thought I was pretty. I thanked him and moved along. A few minutes later he came up again and tried to touch my hair. telling me again he thought o was pretty. I backed up to put space between us. He reached for my arm and started to make more inappropriate comments towards me, I placed my plate down and went back to my family. Now, I understand there are a lot of other reactions I could have gone with here. I was horribly uncomfortable and shut down. It quite frankly ruined my dinner and I won't be returning there. I was hesitant to share, because maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill. But I felt it was important to call out, what I thought, was inappropriate behavior. Recently my family and I ate here and we witnessed a worker from the back come to the ice cream stand and wash his hands ewwww! That same day I took my daughter to the restroom and when I walked into the stall there were Cockroaches crawling up the toilet. If I could give this place negative stars, I certainly would! My daughter and I went back up to the buffet one time and by the time we got back to our table, our drinks were cleared and other people were seated in ours chairs. I was watching this gentleman with his two daughters as they went back up to the buffet, the staff raced to clear and seat others at their table. I told the waitress they were not finished. And luckily I did, because they did return to the table. Beware when you come back to your table, someone else might already be sitting there! DO NOT GO TO THE GRILL!!!!! Definitely do not order a steak at the grill. the man working behind it is nasty and grouchy. if you don't like your job then quit. All I wanted was onions and jalapeños fried with garlic. he helped 5 or 6 other people in front of me and acted like it was too much trouble to put one steak on the grill, when a prior customer had three and other plates were piled to the ceiling. A customer in front of me had to ask him to put a steak on the grill. After my daughter was ignored and had to ask him to put the onions and peppers on the grill and he gave her a hateful grimace, like it was too much trouble for him to put the items on the grill. They should have given our meals for free because they gave our table away and provided terrible customer service, but all they did was laugh in our faces. I've eaten there many times before I got married 3 weeks ago. Even though the food is very good, the people at the front desk are rude. Valentines Day I paid an extra $10 for myself, my wife and daughter (both are Vietnamese) over the normal price. There wasn't anything different or extra on the food menu but they said it was because it was a Holiday! The only people who benefited from the increased price was them... I'm not sure how many health codes were broken, but I would have to say that was the most disgusting place I've seen. There was poop on the floors in the restrooms, all the serving spoons at the buffet were covered in food. I seen a server putting back food that had fallen out of the food trays. The steam tables need to be at a significantly higher temperature as on my visit the food was lukewarm. Fresh served food needs to be hot!

It's a lot of food selections for $11, the mushroom chicken, jalapeño chicken, spare ribs and the steak bar are pretty decent. Make sure your table isn't under a vent or you will get water dropped on you or in your food, that's gross. 3 ppl $40 I'd expect a bit better quality. This place is horrible, I came here with my whole family from out of state and most of the food is nasty. The imitation crab smelt like dirty dishwater, the jello tasted how bleach smells. I had the house chicken and it tasted like fish, then quickly I got a stomach ache. Later the rest of the 2/3 people that were there got stomach aches too. Upon arrival we were sat at a dirty table. When I addressed it with the hosts up front they came to the table and asked where it was dirty. My friend showed him and he just stared. She had to tell him to go get a towel to clean it. He did but it was still dirty. I had to go get a towel from a server and do it myself. We paid for 3 meals and 3 drinks at lunch time which ran us a little less than $30. However, I wouldn't pay that amount for their food again. It was cold as if their steam table isn't keeping food to temp and dry as if it has been sitting out for a while. Their dipper well for the ice cream isn't working either. The outside of the freezer is filthy. The sushi was also poorly made and didn't have variety to choose from. If I could do over I would go to Buffet King on Academy. We used to love this place a few years ago. There wasn't a month we didn't go there but ever since our son got really bad food poisoning we stopped coming so often. Then when we all got sick from it we knew it was not just a one time slip up, it was now an every day thing. The food used to be amazing but its been getting worse and worse. My child is a Chinese food addict!! Hong Kong provides a variety of more traditional American choices as well (brisket, chicken nuggets, fries etc) so I do appreciate if I am not in the mood for Chinese food that I have other options to eat so she can enjoy her favs. Overall the staff is attentive. I do think its a little pricey on the weekends, as the dinner price is an all day charge, in lieu of the reduced price during lunch on the weekdays that they offer. Im sitting in honk long buffet and eating here for the last time. I had just got to the buffet area to serve myself when I walk up next to an employee. He was cleaning off the line saying derogatory remarks against Mexicans. From the look on his face and his actions. He seemed upset because it was a bit messy. It just so happens that the majority of the people eating in here are hispanic of some sort. I think if he doesnt like to clean up after Mexicans he should work in a place where he shouldnt have to interact with any of them. NOT EVER AGAIN WILL I EAT HERE. This is the worst buffet ever. Sad to say but I got sick eating here. The meat was undercooked on the Mongolian grill, not sure if the cook did not understand English or just did not care. I put together a plate of veggies and shrimp and beef. The beef looked like a combination of old and fresh meat mixed together. I than asked for a well done steak which he cooked for as long as The Mongolian mix. The steak was still bloody pink not cooked all the way through. I later noticed he also gave my son a steak that was very thin as compared to the ones he took off the grill for other customers. Not sure if he did not see the tip we put in his jar but " NOT A WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS ". French fries were labeled sweet potato fries, they had some sort of red coloring but we're not real sweet potatoes. The food had very little flavor, mostly blah. I enjoyed my time here. Typical buffet price around 11.50 a person and good food. Service was ok and delighted to see the had sushi. I definitely will be back if i plan on eating alot. This restaurant received a RED sticker by the health department in April 2015. The Alb Journal report on 5-11-15 mentioned multiple violations. It now has a green sticker, but I was disappointed with the manager when I asked about the Red sticker. He told me it was for using too much bleach, the health department report pointed out the exact opposite and obviously there were more problems than that. I have visited this establishment multiple times over the years, not so sure about it now. read more

We have gone to this buffet several times and this time we invited a lot of our family to join us. We definitely SHOULDN'T have. The service was so horrible and quite embarrassing, to say the least. They harassed our guests about who paid and who didn't and refused to give anyone forks who they thought didn't pay. (even AFTER they were shown receipts) And that's right, I said FORKS. I guess that was their way of keeping track of people, but sometimes you need another fork and for them to refuse to give you one and question if you paid or not was ridiculous. I had to show my receipt 3 times to the same lady and she still refused to give us silverware. That is the most outrageous thing I've ever experienced. They made the whole experience very confusing and uncomfortable for our large party. They would have probably received a huge tip but in the end, we just wanted to leave and NEVER return. On top of all of that, the place was really dirty and all of the tables were sticky. The bathrooms were dirty and not kept up at all. As for the food, the sushi chef yelled at my sister and son, telling her to only take 4 rolls and no more. The grill chef is so mean and gets angry when you ask for anything, so that made it really uncomfortable. Definitely not tasty enough for the rudeness. I hope their staff reads this, especially the rude hostesses and cashier's and change the way they do business because this just isn't right. They deserve zero stars! read more

I really enjoy the menu later in the day. The cook for the dinner menu makes the best Salmon in town. There is a great selection and I love almost every item they serve. They have a nice grill and sushi bar along with lots of Delicious noodles and excellent coconut shrimp. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of how crowded and loud it can get but the food is worth it. read more
