I wanted a hamburger so I went to this location. I have been going here over the years since it opened. Service is always superb and the atmosphere is cool vibes. I ordered a turkey burger it was just ok. Not a lot of flavor and the wheat bun was boring. I also ordered a Cesar salad it was just ok too. The dressing had no flavor. Overall, next time I will order a beef burger instead with the fries and onion rings I know that's good. Easy parking in the parking lot.

Really enjoy their burgers, their drinks selections are always great! Their service is always great. Bringing the food to your table, remembering your face when you place a second order, and manicuring the tables. The ambiance is always chill and the air conditioner was on.

Good service and it was OK for a basic burger joint. I got full and the trio was nice for the sweet potato fires, onion rings and fries. The orange dipping sauce was good. My burger was OK - wasn't blown away but it wasn't bad either.

Classic "Hook Burger" and a side of fries.

I'm pleasantly surprised. I work next door at Yakiya and decided to try Hook Burger right before work. I was expecting an average quality burger because I've never heard of Hook Burger before. The Hook burger ($10) is actually pretty tasty. Shredded lettuce, a hint of thousand island dressing, a few slices of tomato, and a beef patty. I made it a combo by adding fries and a drink for an additional $8 or so. The total for my meal was around $21 with tip and I feel like it's a well-deserved price point. Seeing as though a Guacamole Thick Bacon Burger from Carl's Junior costs $20 without fries and drink, I'd say Hook Burger well exceeded my expectations. Parking: Generally spacious. As I work next door, I often see the parking lot mostly empty. I've never seen Hook Burger during rush hour, however, but the parking lot is very large and should accommodate any number of guests. Food: Classic Hook Burger with a side of fries and drink. Burger was juicy and well-balanced with the shredded lettuce and tomatoes. They serve two slices of pickles on the side to give you a palette cleanser. The fries were fresh, crispy, and lightly salted. Cheese is extra and I got American just for fun. Service: Nothing to complain about. You enter, place at order at the front counter, grab your cup and order placard and wait inside the dining room. Workers are courteous and quick. Ambiance: It's designed to mirror a diner; spacious hard leather booths, short room dividers, brick wall interior. Music isn't overly loud.

I finally decided to try Hook after driving by many many times. They have a pretty good selection of burgers but I went with the Maui burger which is a burger with grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce. The burger was very juicy and tasty. The teriyaki sauce was good not too sweet. The pineapple adds a nice sweet and sour flavor. The fries were nice and hot. All in all would try again.

Been driving by this place for a minute, and finally decided to try it. Its a lil cozy place with inside and outside seating. If you're eating there, you order and they bring the food out to you. I got the California burger, and it was good! Its wasn't amazing like Hen & Heifer, but definitely better than Islands down the street. My only complaint is the scoop of Avocado they put on my burger, tore through the top bun when I smashed it together. I'd recommend spreading it instead of leaving it in a scoop. Staff was super nice as well, definitely recommend.

Stopped by on a Saturday and ordered the California Burger and a trio side. We walked in and ordered before grabbing our number and finding a place to sit. It wasn't too packed on a Saturday and the place was well kept. Tables were efficiently cleaned in between customers. The burger was so good! The perfect balance of veggies, meat and avocado. It was pretty messy to eat but wow. I would definitely get it again! Haha. The house made dijon mayo really stood out and added more flavor and depth to the burger. The trio was also really good! It was a pretty big portion that my party could not finish. The onion rings were crispy and the french fries and sweet potato friends were perfectly crisp. Safe to say that I found a keeper in a good burger spot :) Parking was plentiful in the lot behind! - I don't quite remember the name of what everyone ordered but it was a chicken sandwich and it was really good! The chicken wasn't tough or dry. There are meat options as well as a veggie burger option. I saw some people ordering salads which all looked pretty good as well! :)

Came in on Sunday afternoon after a day at The Huntington and came in hungry. The father in law suggested this place so that kind of meant that this was where we were gonna go for lunch. I had heard of Hook Burger but have never been. I'm a Habit or In N Out apologist so take that as you will. Hook is a great version of the in between of a sit down establishment and fast food. They have a respectable beer menu, and TVs going, but also a line to order. There's not a rush to kick you out and the burgers are brought to your table. Some people really like that, other's don't, I was in between. Shout out to the staff there who were willing to change the channels for me so I could catch some golf (cue yawning) and they also switched another TV to the NBA playoffs which seems like a small thing but really made my dining experience much more enjoyable and added to the "stay awhile" vibe I think the restaurant is looking for. As for the burger itself, the potato bun was awesome and the patty was on point. I ordered a Hook burger, grilled onions, with no cheese. I was quite satisfied with what I received (see picture). A lot of ifs but, if i was in the area, if i was heading to the area in search of a casual sit down, if I was or my part was in the mood for a burger, and if I was in the company of folks who don't mind paying a little extra for a burger, I would bring them here.

Tried for the first time recently, got the California burger combo. Not surprised by all the great reviews! Perfect spot for a casual lunch, prices are reasonable and a lot of fries came with the combo. The burger was a little excessive with the arugula but very delicious and a good size.

The funny thing is... although it's a burger joint, I e only had their salads and sides here. The service was good and they were also very nice! There was also plenty of seating inside and outdoor seating as well which we liked sitting indoor because of the heat outside. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad once and that was my favorite there. Then I tried their Cobb salad and it was also good but I prefer the BBQ chicken one. I also got their onion ring and I asked for it extra crispy and trust me, it was the best!

Hook Burger is definitely one of the best burger chains in my opinion. After a hike from Eaton Canyon with some friends, we decided to try Hook Burger since it was relatively close. California Burger was pretty good, it has the brioche bun alongside with the meat patty, cheese, avocado, onions, tomatoes. The fries and onion rings are amazing and both had the crisp texture to them. The ambiance inside is basically a diner-like setup with a couple of TV's. They also have patio seating outside as well. Service was quick and swift. Overall: I'm a fan of In-N-Out and Shake Shack but, Hook Burger definitely is on top for me now. Needless to say, I got hooked from their burger and fries!

    A scoop of avocado.

I'm so glad we did because we had a wonderful time. Right off the bat, however, I want to point out that this is a cash only establishment. Yes, they do have an ATM inside, but if you want to avoid what I'm assuming is a crazy service fee, bring plenty of cash with you because this place isn't the cheapest meal in town. It's not expensive, but it's not cheap. Also, there is very limited parking so just be ready to park on the street a bit away and walking in. The location itself is small. Narrow and deep. They squeeze in as many tables as they can around the walls while having a long countertop that runs the length of the kitchen. But, with all that said, and with them trying to cram in as many people as possible, it didn't feel too cramped. Only time we really felt the high density was when one of my kids needed to use the restroom and we had to find somewhere to stand and wait for it to become available. Outside of the front of the restaurant, there really is no space to just stand around. The food itself is wonderful. The burgers are no nonsense. They're not trying to be anything other than just a classic diner burger and fries. And that's exactly what I want from a place like this. Nothing is made for Instagram or to chase a trend. This place knows what they're good at because they've been doing it for decades and they don't stray from that. It's a total 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality here and it's better off for it. My son got the chili and demolished it. I was worried he wouldn't like it, but it was anything but the case. I haven't seen him eat chili that fast in a long time. The dessert was good, but probably my least favorite part of the whole meal. I think I just wanted something different than what I ordered. I got the peach crumble and, while tasty, it just didn't scratch the pie itch I wanted. It was the perfect blend of soft and crispy. The crumble was good, but I think I wanted more of it. I'm being picky here, but I think it just slightly missed the mark. I really enjoyed my brunch at Pie N Burger. It was a wonderful outing. From the friendly staff to the classic food. It was just nice. And I absolutely look forward to coming back. Again and again.

Over here you get a burger and fries! The service was quick and do like how it's like an old fashioned diner with bar stools and a wooden counter to eat on. The real highlight was the pie.. i believe this Dutch apple pie is one of the better Dutch apple pies ive had in a very very long time. I do wish they made their ice creams in house but you can't go wrong with any pies here!

Super Burger is owned by a super-nice Korean family. There are various Korean dishes in their menu available but I only go there for the burgers. What makes their simple burgers so great? First off the burger patty-- the patties are formed in-house. The cooked patties have that irregular edge that can only come from being hand-formed; imperfect and delicious. These aren't the frozen discs delivered by a freezer truck. The ratio of the ingredients are ideal. -- The tomato is sliced to the perfect thickness -- The freshly-shredded lettuce doesn't manspread and take up too much of the burger's real estate -- The thousand island dressing marries the freshness of the veggie section to the animal part perfectly -- The burger patty's girth is appropriately balanced for the other ingredients. -- Their buns have that old-school yeast(?) flavor not available in stores. Their burgers are lovingly prepared and assembled with care. This is why whenever I go, there are always people there. Seating is strictly patio style, looking out onto the intersection of Altadena and Villa. There lot is small lot next to the stand. I'm not sure if it's shared with another business.
