I'm so glad we did! Even though it was lunch hour, and the parking lot seemed full, we found a spot in front immediately ! My husband ordered 3 fish tacos, 1 fried, 1 mahi mahi and 1 salmon. I ordered the fish & chips. We both were very satisfied with our meal! My fish was very fresh and not greasy and a generous portion. They laid 4 strips of fried fish on top of the fries and the fries were still NOT greasy and very crispy! Delish! We liked the place so much we plan on going back out in a couple of days to introduce it to my mother-in-law! We wish this place was a franchise and would open in Simi! This is my go-to spot for a good fish meal. Today, I craved for their fish plate so I took my husband with me for dinner. After we placed our order and paid at the cashier counter and sat ourselves at one of the tables, about 2-3 mins later the girl that worked there informed us that the brown rice would take 10-15 minutes longer to be ready, so if we would like our meal immediately, we could switch to white rice. I told her I was happy to wait, since I really like the brown rice at this place. To our surprise, a few minutes later, one of the workers brought us a basket of sweet potato fries as an appreciation for our patience. I thought that was really nice of them although we truly did not mind waiting. The only issue is I have been trying to stay on a diet, so hey! Thanks for ruining it with your delicious sweet potato fries! ;) Our order came shortly after we devoured almost over half of the fries, and it did not disappoint. Last night my family and I wanted to eat a healthy dinner. After reading several different reviews we decided on seafood and this establishment. Upon entering you can tell it is a casual no frills place. One line to place your order at the counter, beverage machine toward the back and food would be brought to the number you were assigned. While there were no servers the place was still clean and orderly. I ordered the grilled cajun mahi mahi complemented with cajun fries. My wife also went with the grilled mahi mahi but with lemon butter and salad, My stepson Nathan went with grilled cajun salmon with rice. My stepdaughter Nikki had the giant grilled prawns over alfredo pasta. We all loved the taste and freshness of the entrees. The fishes were clean and not over seasoned to overshadow the actual taste of the fish. The portion size were very generous. While not being a fancy dining experience the quality of the food and simplicity of the experience was satisfying. We all enjoyed a quality meal in a clean setting at a reasonable price. It lacked in the flavor department. I can't put my finger on it, but it's definitely missing something. The chips were cooked fresh which is a plus. As for prices, yes it is a bit expensive, but we're talking about a seafood establishment. Their main dishes range anywhere from $10-$14. Pretty standard if you ask me. Other than salads and pasta, you can get your seafood in a wrap, tacos, or paired with rice. There's a nice selection of things to order from their menu considering their establishment isn't that large. I love having choices! As I have said, their establishment isn't that big, but it's nice. Everything is fresh every time.I don't know about you but I love consistency, and I say this with confidence because I order at least once a week. My go to plate is the Atlantic salmon plate with brown rice & salad with their delicious ginger dressing. I love putting it all over the plate! I request slices of lemon because i love lemon on all my seafood. My boyfriends go to plate is the grilled shrimp. Horrible customer service! I had my daughter with me and she was not feeling well and she vomited. The workers showed no regard to helping me and I had to clean up everything myself. I would like to respond back to Sergio the "manager's" comment about the situation...he stated his staff was on break but from what I exactly recall was the waiter was talking to Sergio about my daughter throwing up and how the waiter was grossed out by it!!! I saw them both talking amongst each other! Then all of a sudden trying to ignore the situation, went in the corner and sat their eating their own food! What kind of behavior is this? We order from here to go a lot. Especially during this time. The food is pretty good. Seems fresh. The lady that works there and takes the orders is ehh. Not accommodating or very professional. One time I ordered through GrubHub $100 worth of food and was missing one of the meals when I called the restaurant she stated she personally made sure everything was there and had no plans of doing anything about it. Being in customer service that's not the result I was hoping for. I did get reimbursed for the missing meal through GrubHub but as a customer I feel the restaurant should have done more. Terrible Customer Service I placed an online order at 12:05pm. I arrived to pick up my order at 12:20 as directed. With my toddler, I went inside to see if my order was ready, it was not. They told me 15 more minutes and I was okay with that. 15 mins later, I go back inside to check on my order. They told me they were still working on my order. I asked them nicely to call me on my phone when my order was ready as my toddler was with me, and the worker agreed. I go back to wait in my car. I am now impatiently waiting in my car as it has been over 40 minutes for an order I placed online and I see a handful of people walking into the restaurant and walking right out with their order in hand. After another 10 minutes without a call, I walked in to see an order waiting at the counter. I asked if it was mine and the worker said it was. At this point it has been about 50minutes of waiting for an order that was placed ONLINE for ease of pick up- and they never called me like they said they would! The workers did nothing to compensate for that UNACCEPTABLE waiting time. She gave excuses that they were swamped with orders. Waiting 50minutes for an online order is just purely unacceptable.
