we got dinner delivered 2 nights ago frim Hook'd and we had the big shrimp... i lovvved them. the grilled fish we got is pretty damn thin so some of you will be disappointed but we're old and don't eat huge meals anymore (you'll see when you're old). everything was really good tasting so it sure F'ing beats cooking. read more

Finally got to try this spot for lunch yesterday and didn't even look up directions LOL. We really thought it was this other fish place and drove out farther than we thought but it worked out. The other place is next to a burger spot that has a really good cold brew milkshake! We drove to the right place and the lot was pretty empty. We walked in and there were a few people dining in. We placed our order and it took maybe 10 min for our food to be ready! Took it home to enjoy. We ordered the Grilled Mahi over rice with coleslaw, 3 different fish tacos: Grilled White Fish Taco, Original Crispy Fish Taco, and Cajun Salmon Taco. My favorite was the crispy! The extra crisp makes it so much better but I can also go for the grilled white fish anytime. The salmon was my least fav, maybe because of the texture. I love a good plate of fish n chips & this place serves them!! Gosh that is lightly battered & fried, not too greasy. The fries were really good & crispy. I'm not a fan of cole slaw but I think slaw fans would like this sweet version. The Mahi Mahi is wild sight and was really good! Got a side of garlic butter too (.35 cents extra) . Grilled zucchini's were yummy! Staff was nice over the phone when ordering. But, whoever packed and or checked the order (before leaving) missed a few items I requested. That's never happened before, but I felt it necessary to point it out to make sure in the future all orders are checked and packed correctly with all items that were asked for/requested. Blown away. I usually go to California Fish Grill so I wanted to check this place out since I drive by it all the time. I finally got the Swai here, only $9.99 so I expected it to be smaller than CFG. Nope. Lot more! And it was great! Plus, their sides are big portions. And that reminds me... their rice is fantastic. And, as others commented, the customer service is great. Starter - Fried Calamari For my starter, I ordered the Fried Calamari. I'll start off by saying they give you a fairly good portion of calamari, so I'd say it's a good value in therms of size. When I went the Calamari was about $7 so not too bad. The taste wasn't amazing, and the calamari wasn't very fresh. They were freshly fried though so I'll give them props for that. Main Course - Shrimp Alfredo The portion for the Shrimp Alfredo was pretty reasonable, and had a decent amount of shrimp. The sauce was really good, but a little heavy on the garlic. The shrimp were seasoned perfectly, and paired very well with the pasta. They give you a little slice of bread, which is a nice touch. Overall, I'd get this again, but not the calamari. read more

I tried four different tacos here. My top favorite one was Cajun Salmon taco! In my opinion this was the most flavorful taco. Squeeze some lemon and drizzle that hot sauce. Oh my it hit the spot on a hot day in the valley. My second favorite had to be the Original Crispy fish taco. In third place, I give it to the Cajun Mahi Mahi. LOVE their food seriously i'm always going back and dining in. The service, food, and presentation when dining in is amazing. However, today I placed an order online through Postmates since I wasn't able to dine in. Called the store to request no pico on my tacos due to allergies and for my zucchini to be well done but the women over the phone was so rude about it as if I didn't spend my money to eat here and was receiving free food or something. At the end I said "thank you very much" and she says "bye" and hangs up. Regret being nice to someone with that kind of attitude.
