Buyer beware. Bartender was pleasant but, was not attentive nor a good server. Ordered 10 wings which where extremely small and overly cooked. Added celery which half was yellow, flimsy and were mainly top sections that where not edible. Ordered some spicy garlic dip which was set two chairs down? I had to get up to go grab the sauce. Don't think I'll be grabbing a beer at the bar when she is bartending! A buddy and I stopped by to get a beer at the bar, Jasha was the bartender. If you want a bartender full of them self & rude she is the one to go to! I've never had this experience with any other girl. She would pay no attention to me and my buddy. I come In there pretty often and she's definitely doesn't know what customer service is! She then got my wing wrong wasn't going to complain It was only 6 naked " supposed to be breaded " But what really aggravated me is when I asked for another beer she spoke to me like if I was annoying her and rolled her eyes. This place is absolutely disgustingly filthy. There was 8 of us in a work group and everyone had menus with the pages stuck together. Not just one page or one drop of sauce, I'm talking entire pages requiring to be peeled apart. Grime on the doors and floors. Everything dirty. The restroom! OMG. I have seen port o potties at rock concerts cleaner than this. Smelled of urine and had trash all over the floor. Literally mold or fungus growing in the faucet in the sink. Food was typical Hooters, not all that great. Server was nice and cute but took a long time to place our order and get drinks. This group now uses this Hooters as the measuring stick for a filthy restaurant with poor food. "It's gotta be better than Hooters" is the joke when we are looking for somewhere to eat. I'd not been to a Hooters in so long that I was single-minded in my pursuit of Hooterness!! I check in with Yelp, homie is doing the word search and my wings / his hot dog are out! I decided to try the XXX again, so I did a half/half XXX and Bentley. I should've stuck with the Bentley only. Just not a fan of the XXX flavor, heat or not. With Bentley sauce to dip in it's spicy enough. I polish off the first 6 wings (they came on two plates) in a few minutes. Then go for the next plate, I grab the flapper and it's cold. Not luke warm, but refrigerated cold. I send em back and watch the a$$hole cook give the waitress a hard time... uncool man. I'm not going to let you acting like a fool (IN CLEAR SIGHT OF THE CUSTOMER) jack with what otherwise was a great Hooters experience and excellent service. If you are a fan of Hooters 15+ years ago I regret to inform you that this isn't it. Went yesterday for lunch and it wasn't the same. It was horrible. All the way around. The fact that we went right at lunch time and it was dead should have been a red flag from the beginning. My chicken was rubbery and my friends wings were breaded so thick that it was still raw and gummy. And the sauce has changed, it's more of an oil based and you can see the oil pools in it. My wife and I usually have a good time at Hooters BUT this was one of the most frustrating meals we ever experienced. We are not picky and far from demanding - just some wings for me and salad for her without any special requests. After our initial order and receiving our drinks, we never saw our waitress until our order arrived and that was about a 20 minute wait at that. She was not apologetic nor aware about the long wait. She (Rachel) was not accommodating and bordered rude and disrespect. Seemed like we were infringing and doing her a disservice. The meal was rather unpleasant not because of the food but rather the service and lack of respect for customers. To be honest, we frequent there about once a month and this, by far, was one of the poorest displays of customer service my wife and had been given. At the conclusion of the meal, I wrote on the back of the receipt about Rachel's poor service and disrespect. I proceeded to tell the hostess to report our complaint to the manager. I certainly didn't want to cause a distraction but . . . I caution you, folks, BEWARE OF RACHEL!! To start with the bar area was a mess, the bartender was too busy talking to her friend to even great me. 5 minutes later after she finished her conversation I gave her my beer order then she goes back to her friend to chat it up when she finally finishes she then asked me what my drink was cause she didn't remember. I give her my order again while I sit in filth because she didn't think it needed to be cleaned. Now she goes to make my drink and everything on tap is super foamy so my drink can't even be made. This particular location is where I had the worst restaurant experience of my life! First off, we had to tell the hostess 3 times how many people were in our party. A 5-top shouldn't be too hard to seat but the girl seemed way to young and dense to be able to handle the job. When we finally got seated, the level of service was horrid. Our waitress pestered us just as we were taking off our coats and getting seated. She was almost hurrying us to make our beverage choices only to screw them up and never served us the right drinks the entire time. The food runner girls might as well have thrown the food at us from the kitchen. Three different girls dropped everything at the table and non-verbally told us to figure out who gets what ourselves. I've never seen such rudeness! From a guy's perspective, the girls were not of good showing for a Hooters. They were all the skeletal, eating disorder types. Perhaps the reason why they were so blatantly rude is that they have been starving themselves for weeks and are grumpy. Also I sit here writing this review while in agony suffering from some kind of food poisoning. I think the cooks in the back are just as bad at their jobs as the wait staff is. Do yourself a favor. This Mesquite Hooters is just not what it used to be. There used to be fun, energetic, caring employees. Today, I experienced employees who did not seem to want to be there. Firstly, when I entered the restaurant the hostess did not greet me, she just started at me, asked no questions. I looked at her and said "I've found my party", still no word out of her. Zae was our waitress. She took at least 10 minutes to clean our table, after that she took our drink orders. She was very rude and gave us funny looks when we'd ask questions. After we ordered our drinks it took at least 15 minutes to get it over to us. Our appetizers were handed out to one person at the table and she asked that one person "can you pass it around to whoever it goes to?" The sams was true with our food orders, and the when we asked to clarify if a certain wing was a specific flavor she responded with "I wouldn't be able to tell you they look a lot alike". We were there to watch a Mavericks game, we had to ask three times if she could change the channel on one of the TVs. We were very polite considering her careless behavior, but I was at the verge of going to whoever was in charge and requesting a different waitress. The overall service was just terrible. We mostly order to-go for work. Whoever answers the phone has aweful customer service skills because they always act ANNOYED. Even when I go in to pickup (at the bar) the service is terrible, and they act put out. If they were nicer, I'd probably tip to-go, but they aren't, so I don't. The food just isn't fresh. The fried pickles with jalapinos aren't good anymore, and the wings have way more breading than chicken. Even when I've dined inside (my brother-in-law's bright idea) the service isn't great, and the waitresses are more interested in talking to eachother than taking care of their tables. My two examples are this: Why do the waitresses have to take my tea to go and fill it up?? Let me preface this review by saying that the only slightly redeeming part of this terrible experience were our two servers Madison and Jadyn. Now, let's get this started... When we walked in, we weren't greeted by anyone but that's not a big deal, maybe the hostess was seating someone. Nope. Five minutes. The young lady seats us, and then another 5 minutes goes by until Madison approaches our table. She was cheery, nice, and took our order. We received our appetizer (mozzarella sticks) 15 min after we ordered, 2 of which didn't have cheese in them. We didn't say anything because the table behind us was giving Madison a really hard time about the AC and getting the manager. Anyway, minutes go by and our food is still not at our table. Madison came by multiple times to apologize that our food is taking so long, the kitchen is really back up, and even her manager was back there (which we could see). Forty-two, 42 minutes after we ordered, we get our food and it's cold. COLD. I'm not exaggerating folks, it wasn't even luke warm. Jadyn at this point came to check on us because Madison had dropped off our food. My boyfriend was at this point at his limit with patience. They both apologized and went to go get the manager. We waited long enough to throw $10 on the table to cover our two soft drinks and give these two girls something for their time. (Seems really cheap but I was a server/bartender back in my day so I'm the first one at the table to sympathize with our server). It was a good 5 minutes from when Madison initially went to go get he manager until we left. No sign of the manager. I would never, NEVER, go to this Hooter's again. I feel bad for Madison and Jadyn because unfortunately for them, I feel like a lot of their tables with punish them in tips, when this is clearly a management problem. So, we came here because my little brother is back from being deployed and used to love this place....key word here is "used". When I checked in on yelp, I asked why you had an angry guy as the main pic, but she didn't know what yelp was and it kinda made me giggle. Heh. We ordered the Buffalo shrimp as an app, and all I can say is the quality has gone down hill, and that is putting it nicely. Our waitress, very nice, but I will leave it at that. We ordered a tall captain and coke, she wasn't sure what that was, but that's ok, she asked if it was the guy with the hat. Finally ended up ordering a tall sailor and Dr pepper after giving up on trying to explain. Delivered in a small glass. The manager doesn't seem too sure on what's going on, kinda just walking around aimlessly. Why do they stand in pairs and start clapping? ??.
