We walked in and requested a table for 7 the host said it will be 10 minutes so I decided to wait at the bar while my family stood outside due to the small space inside. Another party walked in while we are waiting a party of 7 and they were immediately seated at the table the young lady said we will sit at. So we eventually got seated after another 10 minutes had passed. Our waitress pass our table walking back and forth not doing nothing for about 15 minutes before she got our order. And when questioned about items on the menu she was very sarcastic with her responses. The entire time we were there she began to get rude and aggressive. At this point I had to ask her what was her problem. I reached out to the manager who I stopped to make a complaint about her and she rudely interrupted me with attitude letting me know I don't need to talk to him because she is the owner. We had words and as a restaurant owner and my family visiting for the 1st time we will never go back. Customers service was horrible and I won't recommend this place to a dog to visit. Do better! Great sauce, shishito peppers and sprouts, were perfectly prepared. The Tex mex burger is too tall to take bites, and the tajin fries were great. My friend loved her chicken, very juicy she said. While the restaurant and ambience looks the same as the previous restaurant (Modis), it was a completely different experience. We were extremely disappointed in the meals and overall dining experience. The drinks were good (Frozen Marg & Something Orange). Server was nice but rushed; service was just ok; restaurant seemed understaffed and very disorganized; food was bland and just average; definitely not a good value for the $150+ we spent. The owner presents as unprofessional and clueless how to manage a restaurant and customer relations! Huge disappointment for us, on so many levels. The food was delicious - the street corn Brussel sprouts were so tasty, the horseshoe burger with wagyu beef was huge and absolutely delicious, and the taco basket with carne asada and with a jalapeño chip encrusted cod was such a treat. Tourist Beware! We were excited to try this place based on the positive reviews we found, unfortunately, they charge for Large parties which is 22% PLUS a tourist charge, which we had No clue about. It's unfortunate since the service was good, we had no complaints on that end but we were also not difficult people even with a large party of 8. The food was mediocre, not worth the price especially with the extra fees we had to pay. There's no point in arguing with the charges or food, it is what it is but we hope that others learn from us and try a different establishment in the area. read more
