This has stall at East End Market has become a go to place for me to pick up staples for my work week lunches. I am IN LOVE with their chicken salad! They use shredded chicken with just the right amount of cream and I love that they add lots of shaved Parmesan. Some other finger lickin good items are their pesto spread and the vegan-curry-split-pea-soup. Try saying that ten times fast, or better yet, go get some fer yourself! Everything is really flavorful and fresh and available in plastic 1/2 pint, pints or quarts. They also sell deli classics like cream soda and tubs of pickles. I got the pesto chicken sandwich and it was delicious! I recommend asking for a side of pesto, if you're like me and love pesto ask for it. Husband got the pork Cuban sandwich and he loved it. Would go back here again to try other dishes. Lady who assisted us was super sweet and helpful as well as honest about her opinion on food (I hate when people lie just to make a sale). Hounds tooth is great. We love riding our bikes over to East End just to hangout. Houndstooth has great sandwiches. I love the small food hall concept in East End. Great place to grab a bite and a craft beer and if you are lucky snag a massive cookie from Gideon's right in the next booth before they sell out. Great variety of soups and sandwiches. I had a kale arugula salad that was really tasty. Daughter loved her tomato bisque soup she ordered with the kids (simple) grilled cheese and we shared the chicken avocado sandwich. Was SOO looking forward to coming here after reading all the reviews! Not sure if it was an off day, or if people are used to Awful customer service and tasteless food! NOT a kid friendly place - basically got the most dirty looks from the gentleman working here at the thought that I would bring my two year old in. Also, pretzel sticks with pimiento cheese - know that you're buying actual cold cheese and not a dip like what you would expect from typical restaurants. Avocado chicken was ok. Pesto chicken seemed barely warmed and same with the kids grilled cheese. On top of all of that, 3 drinks, 2 sandwiches, 1 side, and one kids sandwich was close to $50 - spend your money some where else. read more

I hit up Houndstooth pretty often when I'm craving more than salad/juice, but also trying to have a proper meal (you know, not bread and cookies). The menu isn't extensive, but I wouldn't say it's small either. I'm all for a shorter list done well then a myriad of "meh" options. The first thing I tried were the brisket tacos-- amazing. The other reviewers are all right, you can't go wrong with these. I've had them several times since and always suggest them to first-timers. They are messy deliciousness. I'd also recommend the chicken salad sandwich--I never would have thought to include BBQ sauce in a sandwich like this, but it seriously works. I'm not a big soup gal, so I haven't tried any of theirs, but the rotation always seems interesting and fresh. Follow them on Instagram and you'll get a heads up on their daily specials-- I tried one today (Roasted lemon turkey sandwich) and it was really good. I left off a star only because I feel like $10-11 for a sandwich with no sides or drink is pricey, but it hasn't been enough to deter me yet. read more

One of my favorite places to grab lunch. Every vendor at East End is great but Houndstooth has some of the best soups/sandwiches to go. Can't go wrong with any of the soups (it's hard to choose between my favorites: curry split pea, turkey chili, tomato basil bisque), and the black bean burger is one of the best around! Note to vegetarians: I think the black bean burger uses their signature white BBQ sauce, which is good, but also may contain anchovies. Otherwise, great food and service. read more

From a recommendation, we found ourselves discovering a place we've been looking for in Orlando for many years. The majority of the merchants are located on the first floor and there is a unique collection of them. Houndstooth fits nicely in an area and offers a nice menu selection, I chose the Chicken Pesto sandwich on pressed Cuban, it was large enough to share and we did, we also ordered a bowl of their tomato bisque which was flavorful and rich. It was the perfect soup and 1/2 sandwich for lunch. There were several side items you could have chosen but the soup hit the mark. The also offer take home on a variety of item. You've got to experience this place for a new unique food experience. There are no tables, but you can sit outside or across the aisle and have a beer or wine from another vendor. read more

I always mean to take a picture but I eat the food too fast. This place is a little gem in east end market, where everything is delicious but Houndstooth is my favorite. They have the absolute best tomato bisque, I was incapacitated due to dental work for a few weeks and having such delicious soup close by was really nice. My fiancé gets their pimento sandwich with bacon and I get their chicken pesto sandwich and they are both awesome. Brisket tacos are also yummy, but the sandwiches are my favorite. I'm really not a fan of the hipster market at East End, but this little shop inside is fantastic. Make sure to try their brisket and cole slaw tacos, and take home some of their chicken salad for later. The first time I visited Houndstooth was about 7 months ago and I had the WORST experience. I was so excited that East End was opened and was dieing to try it , but I realized quickly that there wasn't many places to choose from to eat, especially since I have many food allergies. I came across Houndstooth and really took a liking to their menu, however a lot was 'pre made' so I was told by the lady that worked there. When I asked if she could modify a sandwich for me she refused and said that they couldn't because it was pre made and that it wouldn't be fresh nor was it fair for the cook to make it. I left aggravated, because I couldn't understand how a business couldn't cater to everyone, especially now that food allergies are more prevalent than ever. After wandering around aimlessly for about 20 min, I think she felt bad, I didn't know she had a heart at that point, but she called over to me and said they could modify their chicken avocado sandwich and that was the best they could do. I appreciated that she did that, FINALLY, but it shouldn't have taken me wandering around for her to cater to my sensitivity to tomatoes. The sandwich was actually really good, so I came back 2 weeks later. My 2nd go around was SOOOOOOO much better that it kept me coming back for more. Every time I go there now, I see if Trevor and Crosby are working because they never once gave me a hard time or seemed inconvenienced about remaking a sandwich or even modifying what they can for me. They are the only reason I keep going back. Not only are they very nice, they seem very knowledgeable and always have a smile on their faces. I did however run into 2 more problems yet again, with the same lady that works there by her not listening to me and putting tomatoes on my wrap. One day I specifically told her NO TOMATOES I AM ALLERGIC, she not only charged me extra for avocado, which weren't on there, she also put A LOT of tomatoes on my sandwich after not only I, but I heard Crosby tell her that I can't eat that. I didn't check my sandwich until I was at a traffic light heading to school. I had to turn around and take it back, which caused me to be late for school and have nothing to eat in the meantime. The only reason I gave a 1 is because of the woman that works there. If she wasn't there I would give Houndstooth a good score. Now every time she is there, I refuse to eat because I am scared of having an allergic reaction. I think that she needs to take a food safety course. I have recommended this place to many people, but I warn them not to go there when she is there because she messes up the order, isn't friendly and honestly seems like she really doesn't care about the customer or making the company/business better. I went there today and just want to finish by saying, I know that my food is going to be great and TOMATO free because Crosby and Trevor not only know me, since I am kind of annoying with my rare food allergy and I am always there, but because they care about having a great business and keeping their customers happy and coming back for more.
