Such great fresh food and menu in Malibu. We had great tasty burritos. Amazing ambiance and screens are up so you can watch some FIFA World Cup Soccer games while you eat! Nice service and the prices are so reasonable too.

Howdy's is a gem and Howdy is a legend. This is fast casual. Patio only seating. Counter service. Love the food! My fav is the $18 Mexican pizza. It's the size of a pizza and delish! Located in the Lumber Yard by the Whole Foods in Malibu. There are electric car chargers right in front so you can charge as you eat.

Atmosphere and the price is to have sit down restaurant. But it is a sushi Mexican American and cross fit restaurant with order to sit. It is not what it seems like. Fairly warned.

The world famous lobster burrito is famous for a reason, it's so fresh and the ponzu and chipotle mayo sauce takes it to the next level. They have lots of outdoor seating, and the line moves pretty quickly.

Wonderful little joint with a lobster sushi burrito and a tempura shrimp sushi burrito. Both delish. My friend preferred the lobster and I preferred the shrimp - guess you will have to try both like we did! Excellent staff.

I come here often for lunch and I'm always satisfied with my meal and the service I receive. The food comes out in about 15 minutes and it's always delicious. As a vegetarian, my favorite meals are the veggie burrito or the teriyaki bowl sub tofu. The staff is friendly and attentive. If you come often the rewards stack up quickly and this translates to money off or free deserts. If you like spicy, I would definitely ask for the salsa habanero! It is soo good, one of my favorites!

Rude girl answers phone only to tell you they're closed early!

So screw the locals??? Good motto. My issue was more the girls rudeness but if as an owner you don't care about the public then it makes total sense why she was rude.

Everything about Howdy's is top notch. Everything on the menu is so good. It's my go to and eat here 2-3 times a week. But aside from the food the entire staff is super friendly, treats everyone with respect and makes it so awesome to eat there. I love it.

Go down south on Topanga Blvd, pass 101 and you are driving in a different space. The two lane road one way, becomes one lane, with many windy turns. As you drive on, to a progressive higher altitude, the fresh air, the greenery, the view below, engulfs your senses. What a beautiful ride, till you arrive at TLC. I was there on a weekday (by design), to avoid the crowds and because parking is very limited, if you wish to be close to the establishment. Walking in, there is a small space of an ordering counter (with a display of some foods), some on the menu, some not. A few merch racks and some indoor tables. You can also sit outside, under umbrellas, for a more airy feel. Many come here for the tranquility, several of them with their laptops. While I was aware before arriving what the limited menu entailed, I was attracted, amongst other selections, by the optics of the Tomato Frittata and Cucumber Salad, in the food case. And that is what I ordered. Since the Frittata comes with a house salad, it was a reasonable $2 extra to substitute for the cucumber salad. The Tomato Frittata was warmed up and served to my outside table. It was fluffy, fresh, having distinct texture and tongue slide, to highlight the tastes of egg, cheese and tomato. Nice ingredient arrangement all around. Same for the cucumber salad. What I liked here was no overdose of citrus (as you so often taste in other places). A harmonious balance of simple nature ingredients, that take care of the flavor, and take you to a place to remember. The cucumber was well diced, colorful, bold, crunchy and nourishing, with every bite. Overall, a satisfying experience, and an impressive weekday brunch visit for me, in the stunning and magnetic hilltops of Topanga.

Tartar sauce was great, the cocktail sauce as well (and I don't normally like cocktail sauce). Filled me up great. Small clam chowder - 7/10 Pretty solid clam chowder. I probably wouldn't get it again, but the first few spoonfuls were great and very enjoyable. Some of the clam towards the bottom was more chewy which wasn't ideal. Got a bread roll as well and it came with oyster crackers. Spent roughly $30 total, around $20 on the shrimp basket and another $6-7 on the clam chowder. We've tried the grilled salmon in the past- and it's nicely cooked and tasty - but the star of the show is their fried offerings. What could be better than a crisply fried piece of cod with delicious fries overlooking the ocean? They do a better job frying fish than much more expensive places (looking at you Santa Monica seafood restaurant). The coleslaw is always fresh, and we also love the creamy chowder, chock full of clam bits. My one note is that they do not season their food so you need to add salt and pepper to everything. The coleslaw benefits from salt and a squeeze of lemon or a few drops of the malt vinegar on the table (also good with the fries of course). I'm not sure why they don't season their fish or batter - but maybe they figure it's best to keep it unsalted and people can add seasoning? There is also hot sauce on the table which adds the perfect zing to the chowder. The people who run the place are friendly and the place is especially popular on weekends. I'd recommend coming midweek either before or after peak lunch hours. Highly recommend.
