My girlfriends and I had our Secret Santa dinner here last weekend and we were SO, so pleased! We had made reservations to have have the Sky-box reserved on a Sunday early evening. While we waiting for a previous party to finish up and the rest of our group to show up, we grabbed a drink at the bar served by a great bartender, Christie (I think?! sorry!) When our room was ready, we went upstairs and it was festively decorated, perfect for our holiday dinner! Our service was exceptional especially considering the waitress had to run up and down the steps the entire evening to serve the eight of us. Not once did she complain or look exasperated. She was awesome. They also put on the football games we wanted to watch in the background. The food was exceptional. We all split the artichoke & spinach dip and rib-eye bruschetta. Both of which were incredibly flavorful. I have to say the shallot cream sauce on the rib-eye bruschetta was so perfectly seasoned. A perfect start! All of us got entree salads, probably 5 or 6 of Hudson's 8 choices. I can't think of enough words to say yummy! I'm also embarrassed to add we all had some sweet potato fries too... I'm surprised I didn't have a Santa belly when I left. All liquored up and full, our bill was very reasonable and worth it. The atmosphere was friendly and the decor was clean and welcoming. TVs all over the bar area and a nice size dining area. I look forward to coming back here to watch football and try more of their delicious food. read more

Ok so this review is based on the fact that I'm a HUGE Nebraska Husker fan and was ecstatic to find out that there was a legit Husker bar in Manhattan (I just moved here two months ago). If you're from Nebraska and are in the city for game day, 1000% you need to hit up Hudson. They serve Mexi-fries (tots) and their rendition of a Runza sandwich (not as good as the real thing but still a valiant effort). I swear I almost cried when I walked in and found that everyone there was cheering on my home team, Nebraska menus, shirts, KOOZIES! It felt like I was back at home in Nebraska watching the game. Had vodka straight to curb my enthusiasm... no taste at all. 100% fake and straight water. Would not recommend!!! Popped in quick with about an hour wait before catching my train out of the city with three friends. We were greeted and seated quickly in a fairly empty bar - but it took a significant amount of time for our server to acknowledge our presence. By the time we were able to place our drink orders it was clear there was no way I would be able to place an order and receive my food before having to run out to catch my train. It was 5:30pm on a Sunday, mind you. They had a decent amount of options on the menu for food and drinks - just wish I could have tried some! read more

Pretty terrible had high hopes going here before a rangers game since it's a rangers bar but place was dead. Started to order one of the signature drinks but was told they don't make it any more for an appetizer ordered the pretzel sticks but it was actually just a regular pretzel that was cold while waiting forever for the food to come out we went to the jukebox bought a few songs but music never came on with sound. Food finally comes out the guys just hands us the plates instead of putting on the table that was weird and the waitress was hardly anywhere to be found. This is a great place to watch a New York Rangers game. I was there for a We Bleed Blue Viewing Party last Saturday the place was packed as any bar will be if you have a $40 open bar in NYC. The fans had lots of energy. I didn't wait for a beer all day as the bar staff were on their game. I didn't try the food so I cannot comment on it. But I would definetly go back even if it weren't open bar, this place seems like a good spot to go on a Friday or Saturday night. read more

I have been to this spot a few times and have found it to be quite consistent. Food is not the average pub fare and a myriad of televisions to choose from for all sporting events. I am told that they can also prepare a prix-fix menu for entertaining clients in one of their private rooms. Always ice cold glasses and an above average selection of drafts. Bottles are basic but the atmosphere, tunes and vibe of the place are great. Portions are quite large and easily shared. Prices are very reasonable and on par, to say the least, for NYC. The bartenders will buy back also. Personal preferences are everything and different for everyone, but this is a great spot that appears to be only getting better. read more

Came here on a Friday night after work expecting an intolerable crowd to get an overpriced beer. Surprisingly, plenty of seating at the bar and tables as well. Managed to get a couple seats near the TVs (which there are plenty of). Beer selection is decent, usual suspects and a couple of crafts just in case. Bartenders are super friendly with quick service. Best part - the nachos. Great flavor, lots of ingredients (more so than the chips I think), and enough to share. Usually I'd give this 3 stars, but considering the time of day, bumped it up a notch. Another new bar in my neighborhood. they serve beer in a REALLY chilled glass so you can enjoy chilled beer to the end(I saw a frost around my glass!). I love it. I came here on a weekday night right after the big snow day but the place was somewhat lively with many people. Would be great to come here after work hour...! It took 47 min on a slow Sunday just to get my wings. Waitress are slow and unseen at the floor and has attitude.

The food was not bad but service took forever. In addition my coworker and I were both overcharged on our credit cards, Thank you Rachael. I had taken a photo of my receipt and even though the amount wasn't nominal it was still double the tip amount I had written down. When I informed my coworker she also realized she was also overcharged. This is a dishonest establishment who tries to sneak additional tips and I'm sure it goes unnoticed since it's in a nice area. Been here a few times, but only for Auburn University Alum events. One big thing I like about it is that it is really close to my apartment (I live in Hell's Kitchen). I also like that they offered a menu for Auburn gamedays (I got a chuckle out of their drink called "The Student Section": Maker's Mark and Coke. Brought back memories of college). And the waitresses wore Auburn gear on gamedays...WAR EAGLE! :) Their food was alright, just your typical bar food. And the prices weren't so bad either. However, first time I went to watch an AU game, in the third quarter they started having issues with their TV connection, it was really choppy and the sound was cutting out, so we left. All in all, I'd go here again if I'm looking for a place to grab a few drinks in a nice, clean bar. read more

So about the 2 stars... Well I like the place but it has its drawbacks. They have decent beers on tap (though double check with the bartender because a Goose Island is actually a $1 more than the listed price) and a huge menu (somethings are a bit bland but others were really tasty). I've been here a few times with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed getting a seat at the bar and having a bunch of the games up on the different screens. That was great! Until of course we went in early one Saturday night and the B&T crowd took over (some of which looked like they were in high-school.) The place is huge so it is great for groups. Pros: Upstairs is clean and spacious; the drinks are reasonably priced for warming up before MSG. Cons: The downstairs (where the bathrooms are) smells like a sewage spill; and the guy bartending was the type to assume your change was his tip, even at 25% (that's pushing it buddy). Our party arrived at a not so hectic time (most tables filled but not too crowded and no large parties), and the food still took awhile to come out. They brought my boyfriend's meal out long after everyone else was served, which annoyed me. When they finally brought it out, it ended up being the wrong order. Again he continued to wait for his food, and when it finally arrived a sorry looking pulled pork sandwich came out, the size of a McDonald's dollar menu hamburger. I usually love pub type food, but everything tasted frozen and did not seem fresh at all. The fries were clearly old and soaked in grease. Disappointing experience all around. Came in here before the Ellie Goulding concert tonight. Food was okay. Server was a doll. I'm not sure how she managed to even be so helpful and sweet considering they are so ridiculously understaffed. She was the only waitress running around the whole restaurant like a chicken without a head. I felt so bad for her. This is a prime example of bad management, so sad. I was hoping this place was better. Foolish because if you have happy employees you have happy customers. Change it up, Hudson, because this is despicable. read more

Came here for NYE 2016 party and it was the worst experience ever. Waited for 54 minutes on the coat check line only to be told that they ran out of coat hangers. How is that even possible? A surprisingly good place for food! We stopped by here sort of as a last resort to get some food as 2 friends were catching a bus and train each at Port and Penn. We were a party of 9 and they sat us with no problems on a Sunday night. It wasn't too crowded but still had a good amount of patrons eating. They have a pretty large menu and it was hard to decide on what I wanted to get, but ended up getting the Chef's Chopped Salad and it was yummy!! Granted I substituted the blue cheese dressing and crumbles for just balsamic vinaigrette. It was delicious! The pieces of thick slab bacon is TDF and everything came together really well. I thoroughly enjoyed the salad. I had a bite of my bf's buffalo chicken sliders and they are not shy with the spiciness in their sauce! A+ in my book. My other friend order nachos and it is a huge pile of nachos, pulled pork, guac and cheese. I was def not expecting food to be this good! The waitress/kitchen also accommodated rushing two of the dishes as our friends had to bounce early. So A+ for the service as well! read more

Got here for lunch. My mom got mini burgers and I got a salad in a fried (nachos?!) bowl. I really don't remember the name of the salad. It was a Cobb salad with vegetables in a big fried bowl. It was very delicious though. Burgers were ok and fries looks like frozen fries. Overall it was ok. For food that we paid was a little but pricey. We went to this restaurant as it was near to our hotel. When we walked in about 8:30 on a Saturday night there were quite a few open tables. We were seated at a tiny two top near the front door, when I asked if we could have a bigger table the hostess said sure but informed us that if they got busy they would move us. Really so after we get our meal if you get busy and fill up the 25 or so extra chairs that you had open you're going to have us move with our plates. So we got up and left and went to great Thai place just down the block. We did happen to look in the window of the restaurant after we had our great Thai meal and they still had 25 or so extra chairs guess not the place to be on a Saturday night in New York. read more

I went in here yesterday for a couple beers after work with some colleagues from the office. Part of having a Black Card is being given preferential treatment at some establishments, this is one of them. I made a reservation through my Black Card for 5 spots at the bar, the bartender was very unprofessional when I went to sit at my reserved seats. He told me they were reserved, I proceeded to let him know they were reserved for me and he said no these are for regulars you need to get a table. Lunch Review: As someone who works in the area, I'm always looking for good, affordable lunch options. The quality of Hudson Station's menu offers a welcomed step up from the other diners and bars in the vicinity. Grilled tuna sandwich was pretty good, but too much cole slaw piled on top so I had to pick it off; mini crab cake sandwiches consisted of mostly filler, basically a rip off. Spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer was probably my favorite, very rich and tasty. All things considered, you definitely pay a bit of a premium since the place is more spacious and cleaner than other spots in the area. Most sandwiches / burgers are in the $14-16 range, steep enough that I wouldn't necessarily frequent this joint for lunch very often, but I'll still swing by every few months. p.s. great atmosphere to grab a beer after work and watch the game, though they don't really have any drink specials. read more

"Sports bar with tons of TVs". No matter what game you are interested in watching, this place will have it. During lunch hours, it will have ESPN and CNN on TV. No matter where you are sitting, you have access to multiple TV's with good viewing angles. With not many bars in the neighborhood - this place actually gets busy in the evening. It has wide variety of beers on tap. Also, the burgers and sliders are good along with typical bard food. Veggie sliders are ideal and are not over filling. read more
