It feels like a trendy brunch spot that would fit great in Hollywood or Venice, but we get it in the Valley! Their food is healthy and well-sourced. Been here twice for pick-up since COVID-19. Outdoor seating is available if you want it. Service is always fast and friendly and the food is REALLY good. Ingredients are fresh and tasty and there are so many options on the menu, whether you're looking to eat healthily or to indulge. First time for all of us and we were met with the nicest guy taking our order & taking care of us for the entire meal. It's a small dining area, but were fortunate to basically have the whole place to ourselves. Everything was fresh and piping hot! Garlic knots were great, bbq chicken pizza- my friends favorite, half veggie/half pepperoni was great as well. I like that everything is organic & local, you can taste the freshness. I've been coming here on and off for a few years. Cute place, service is ok -hit or miss, food can be fabulous or not-much-at-all; it all comes down to what you order. Skip the pancakes - I know you want them to be good, especially from all the Yelp reviews but they aren't, they weren't a few years ago and they still aren't. If you want meat- have the hand made/hand formed sausage patties -they are really worth it!!! If you want to skip the meat today - have the egg-white omelette with black beans and veggies, I liked mine with cheese. The black beans have fabulous flavor -they could sell just a dish of those and do well! If you order right you'll love it, appreciating the fresh veggies used in the dishes, homemade sausage, etc. if you order wrong -the pancakes, you won't! Note to Humble Bee: go back to the drawing board and create a new tasty pancake batter to start with; and then let people know you improved it, so we can give it another try. I love me some Humble Bee. The staff is super friendly and patient. We have a toddler and we have been coming here since they opened. It's a very friendly and open place with good, organic food. You can really taste the difference. Parking can be a pain because they have a smaller parking lot in the front, but there is usually plenty of street parking. I prefer their breakfast menu to their lunch menu, but that's a personal preference. Everything I've had there is very good and it's full of veggies. I am one of those people who have to trick themselves into eating vegetables sometimes so this works for me! We come here almost every other week and never ire of it. 5 stars for Humble Bee! I live right around the corner and finally made it over after hearing rave reviews from a friend. Glad I came, Sunday brunch was delicious! I love chilaquiles and if it's on the menu, I have to try it. I was not disappointed. The coffee was just as yummy. Now to cover the service, they were busy with the brunch crowd and my party had to wait for a table but we were sat relatively quickly. Would have been faster if I had put us on the waitlist via yelp before arriving. The service was friendly and really great, but the cafe was also really loud. Parking was limited, but if you don't mind the walk, there's usually a good amount of street parking. Personally, I don't mind dealing with parking, waiting in line or a loud atmosphere as long as the service and food is good. Definitely coming back again! read more

This place is the epitome of a hole in the wall. If you aren't coming here, you wouldn't know it exists. So, you walk in and the ambience is great, basic wooden furniture, miscellaneous paintings on the walls, and everyone walking around busy. We came between breakfast and lunch, so it wasn't full. We were greeted with "sit wherever you like", nice start. We were offered water and coffee immediately from a pleasant waitress, with a sense of humor. Fantastic. We ordered Black Forest ham omelette with potatoes and toast. Food was served within minutes, and everything was fantastic. Loved the potatoes, just enough seasoning, and perfectly cooked. The eggs were fluffy, and the ham chunks nicely browned. The coffee is fresh, the toast was soft, chewy, and crunchy all at the same time. Perfection. Way too expensive for what we received. Spent $100 for breakfast for a family of 4 two adults and two kids. We did let the kids order hot chocolates to the tune of $5.50 a piece also made the mistake is adding whipped cream for an extra $2 each. The food was decent but really nothing spectacular. Everything. The food, the service, the hot sauce (whhaaaaat??), the orange juice, the coffee, the smiles, the decor, the- help I can't stop! Seriously though; nothing on the menu here isn't delicious. Double negative. But on top of the food being awesome they make their own amazing hot sauce. Double positive. AND their fresh orange juice will make you cry tears of joy. Omne trium perfectum! They have a habanero sauce and a ghost pepper sauce, and get this... They are both extremely flavorful! After devouring my exceptional Eggs Benedict I drenched my potatoes with organic ketchup and their hot sauces (yes both) and tortured my mouth with an insane spectrum of heat and flavors. Everything on the menu is worth a try if it fits into your infuriatingly finicky Los Angeles diet, so come here a lot! Come every week! Came here to meet a friend up for breakfast. Little breakfast spot that was a lot of charm once you enter and greeted by the nicest servers. The place is very nice and bright but definitely hidden where it's situated. I'll say one gripe is that the parking lot is small and very tight and probably be better off parking on the street. My and my friend shared the biscuits and gravy and it was honestly a shocker how great this was. The gravy was super savory and peppery. It had nice chunks of sausage which gave everything a really nice texture. The biscuit itself was just completely covered by the gravy so I can't say if it was super flakey but I will say it tasted great and had such a lovely buttery taste. Definitely will be coming back to check out their other offerings. Highly recommend this low key spot in the valley. read more

WOW!! Thats all I can say to explain this place!! I was meeting a co-worker for breakfast and I found this spot on Yelp and thankfully so! She was happy, always attentive, patient, kind, had an eye on our table to see if we needed anything, I can go on and on... - Quality - Everything is made fresh with fresh ingredients and you can taste the difference! Even their sugar (which of course I noticed, being the sugar fiend I am) is all sugar in the raw. - Taste - Their coffee barely needed any sugar at all. Their french toast was awesome and the fruits they put are all fresh. I usually have extra syrup to put on top of everything and didnt even need the extra syrup for it! I cant say enough good things about this place! Honestly its as organic of a place as you're probably going to get for a restaurant, with amazing service (I wish I got our waitresses name cause she totally deserves credit for an amazing job - Shes a young blondish girl), and the food tasted amazing! Me and my sister just had a late late breakfast here and the food was good. They had really good drinks on the menu. My sister got their Cappuccino and I had their lavender lemonade and they were both amazing and I don't even like coffee... Their tuna melt was delicious! I gave them 4 stars because the waitress was annoying...got my order wrong, forgot to bring me butter after I asked and it just took forever to get our check...we had to ask another waitress and she still didn't acknowledge us. Great crew here, service is attentive and friendly and prices are reasonable. From my table I could clearly see the chef in action preparing dishes; he is passionate about cooking and the taste certainly spoke volumes. I was happy with my English Buddy, fried egg, sharp cheddar cheese, homemade turkey sausage,served on a homemade English muffin. No joke, this breakfast sammy got my "ohh's!" and "ahhs!" thee ENITRE eating experience! With a mouth full of English Buddy I gave the chef huge smile & a thumbs up! I really wanted to love Humble Bee Pie but it was just okay. Boyfriend and I were having movie night at his place so he placed an order for a medium Chicken Pesto pizza over the phone and paid for it in advance so I could just scoop it up on my way from the market. I had been wanting to try HBP since I saw they had opened down the street from my house because we are both fans of the Humble Bee Cafe. I dropped in and the man running the shop was on his own taking phone orders, helping walk ins, and making pizzas. When I mentioned that my boyfriend ordered and paid over the phone he had a hard time finding the ticket for our order so he spent about 10 minutes searching for our order before I could sign for it. I wasn't in a hurry so no biggie. He grabbed our pizza and the two canned drinks my bf ordered and I was on my way. The pizza was good but not $40 good which was our total for one medium pizza, two canned sodas, and tip. I'm all for quality, locally sourced ingredients which is the philosophy of Humble Bee but there wasn't enough going on with our pizza to really justify the price for us. Plus, the next day my bf realized that his card was charged twice for our order so he had to stop in to have that mistake rectified. I guess when the gentleman who helped me couldn't find our original ticket he just charged my bf a second time. Mirrors on one side of the wall that made the place felt less tight and crowded. Friendly wait staff, attention to detail. There was not enough cream and sugar for me to overcome this strong brew. After half cup I definitely needed water. I had the infamous panwich ($9.25) since there were so many photos and talk about it. This dish was made of eggs (sunny side up) and sausage, layered and wrapped in a humongous pancake, topped with diced apples. Beautiful presentation! The yolk dripped out at first cut, creating more anticipation. Well, at first bite, I immediately tasted a very strong spice in the sausage-- very much like white pepper, or some sort of powdered pepper, so overwelming that it took away the harmony of this very creative dish. As I kept digging the dish, the hardness and strong spice in the sausage continue to dominate my taste buds and push all other tender ingredients aside. I only had 1/3 of the entire dish. Was I just not very lucky or did anyone else taste what I tasted? I love sausages and they should be very juicy and flavorful. So, lots of bees, not a lot of honey for me. Stopped by for breakfast this morning and I must say it's a weeeeeird location for such a place. This business screams Malibu/Santa Monica/West Hollywood:) everything on the menu is organic, fresh and house made. We ordered a tunamelt (if I see that item on a menu, I can't order anything else) and a breakfast burrito. Both delicious, especially with their hot sauce. My freshly-squeezed orange juice was served in a cute mason jar and when my husband wanted his coffee to go, they just brought a new cup of coffee for him. Nice move. The staff is very sweet and the place is absolutely adorable, I wish they had a bathroom though, I like washing hands before I eat. All in all whenever I'm in that part of the valley I know where to go for breakfast or lunch. read more

Wanted the eggs Benny, but there are only served on Sunday. It was disappointing to hear. I went with the eggs butty and my girlfriend ordered the panwhich. Neither stood out as,"OMG." The food was average and the turkey patties were over seasoned. Coffee. Nothing to write home about. Regular coffee. Service. The servers were friendly. More than one will check up on me.
