I was excited to try this place but it was so terrible that I will not go back. If you live in the area try Apola Greek Grill in Yorba Linda so much better for Greek food. I had the Gyro salad and the meat was extremely dry like eating a piece of shoe. I was hungry so I ate it but again I can't believe they actually served me that meat. Stay away from this place. Also the prices are high compared to other Greek places. read more

In short, Great neighborhood Mediterranean spot. With a few more details, Chicken was the best. Lots of flavor and perfect marination. Get some extra toum(garlic sauce) with it. Makes it even more fantastic. Falafels were good but make sure to dip it in tahini or hummus. I wish they use the thinner pita but this still was great nonetheless. The food is good, with that being said, it is not $17 a plate good, for one chicken skewer and DOESNT included the drink! Side of fries $6 and a fresh water $5 with no ice. No fountain machine. 12 out of 10 quality, authentic Mediterranean food. This place never fails. The selection is great, the menu is simple yet diverse, the food is fresh, & it's always cooked right in front of you. Yummy, fresh, & healthy food. Small, clean Mediterranean restaurant that serves delish food. Very nice staff. Food was so good. Chicken juicy and tender, with the right amount of seasoning. Salad was super fresh and crunchy. The cucumber lemon mint drink was good and refreshing. They also have other drinks that looked really good. This has been at AH for a few years now and today was the first time I went. This place is very good! I got the chicken and beef which were very tender and cooked well. I also had to try their burger for $13; Carls Jr is almost the same cost. The burger was very good! Lastly, the gyro fries were delicious! The portion sizes were could feed 2 people! It's was about 11:30 am when I realized we have zero food in the fridge for lunch. So we did a random look on Doordash and realized that we had never tried Hummus Bean Grill. Since we've been meaning to try this place, we thought today was as good a day as any and I'm really glad we did. I ordered a Chicken Kebab plate which is supposed to be a Kebab + pita + Greek salad + hummus + rice. I requested that they leave off the pita and the rice, but increase the Greek Salad if possible....and they did! I got exactly what I wanted. I received a generous amount of Greek Salad, my kebab and a portion of hummus. The dressing on the Greek Salad was light and the veggies were fresh. The chicken had a nice flavor to it. We will be back and can't wait to try more things. read more

You have some JUICY beef at Hummus Bean, but don't fight over it- it's delicious. The food itself is mostly great apart from the pita, but everything else was on point. Located near Anaheim City Hall, Hummus Bean is a casual spot that looks best for lunch and maybe a late dinner when no one is around. The prices are typical of what you'd expect of downtown Anaheim, but it wasn't overbearing. Food took about 10 minutes, made to order after walking in. Currently, it's all takeout due to COVID-19. Got the Beef and Chicken plate which comes with salad, hummus, and a pita bread. I thought the amount was fine. For each part: Beef: 5/5 was the best part. Super buttery and juicy, probably worth the trip by itself. Chicken: 4/5 Good but not as good as the beef. Seasoning was decent but I think I rather go with the Beef next time. Not as juicy as well. Salad: 5/5 Fresh tasting and delicious, no issues. Hummus: 4/5 Pretty much what you'd expect of good hummus. Could use more garlic but that's my opinion. Pita: 2/5 Not that great, it was stale and wasn't as good as other foods. Rice: 4/5 was moist and paired great with everything else. Can't go wrong with it. Price: 3/5 $16 is on the higher end of mediterranean food spots. But it's downtown Anaheim so I'm not so hard on this spot. I'll give them a 4 because they were relatively fast for a made to order spot and they had good beef. read more

After car browsing at the Rangerover nearby before pre covid. I worked up an appetite and discovered this eatery - thanks to yelp. I opted to dine alfresco. Being a creature of habit - gyro is definitely one of my favorite main entrees. I requested hummus and it was yummy as was the gyro. Prompt service and friendly customer service. If I'm ever back in the area I would definitely return. read more

Wow. $18.26 for this. I would have rather just picked grass from my front lawn and ate that if I knew this was going to be the portion size for almost $20. We were the only ones in there and still had to wait 20 minutes. 20 minutes for what? Obviously they have all that made, maybe not the chicken, but not in warmers I can tell you that much. Pita bread included in plate was also cold. The rice was cold. Chicken was warm Mmhmhmmm so good all two bites of it! My first and last time here. read more

The 3 star rating is appropriate. Food is average, staff friendly but they did forget an item I ordered. I got the gyro plate. Meat was solid, everything else was not that great. It's pretty average for an 18 dollar plate. Portion is average too. You can find better food and value at Luna Grill for example but all in all it's not horrible. Where things really took a bad turn is the pita. Ordered 2 gyro plate, I got 1 pita per plate. Only 1 pita? Except it's not pita it's like a communion wafer, piece of cardboard thing. Very bad, not edible. Final thoughts are to skip this place in favor of better options with bigger portions and better taste for the same money. read more

I've eaten a lot of Mediterranean and have never disliked humus/ pita at single restaurant, until today! The hummus had zero flavor, zero! The pita wasn't a pita it was a burnt tortilla! Luckily I have pita from costco I buy so I was able to use that instead of whatever the hell they provided, tasted like dirt!! We also got a chicken plate with Greek salad. Not sure what the hype is of this place. It's great if you eat bird sized portions or portions for an elementary aged kid, but for a full grown adult you will still leave hungry. Especially for the price we paid. $16.00 for a Beef and Chicken Kabob plate is too much for the little amount of meat you get. Other Middle Eastern places give way more meat and side dishes. The meat was very juicy and tender. Again just not enough. The hummus and salad was also legit. Definitely enjoyed it but had to go eat somewhere else due to still being hungry. This place is cool to eat at if you just want a light meal and are willing to pay $16.00 for it. But it's not worth it in my opinion. read more

I was at work and hungry. Didn't know what I wanted. Had to go to the post office, figured I would decide on the way over there. Nope. Got back in my car and just sat there trying to decide where to go. Finally landed on Hummus Bean, it had been a couple weeks since my husband brought it home for dinner, and I really liked it. Was worried the wait would be long, but it was almost 1:30 so I assumed I was safe, lunch rush was over. Walked in, one lady ahead of me. She paid and I placed my order of a chicken kebab plate, and also took a large cup of their cucumber mint agua frescas. They had 3 flavors to choose from, but that one sounded best to me. The super friendly cashier gave me a number and told me to sit wherever, and they would bring me my order. She also said if I drank a bunch of it and wanted a refill, she would fill my cup up on my way out. Nice! My cucumber mint drink was delicious! I did not have time to drink much of it, as my food was out in less than 10 minutes. I was shocked at how fast they cooked it! Took my food back to work and it was an amazing lunch. Their garlic sauce is to die for, the chicken is marinated so well, and I love the rice. Pita, hummus, and salad are also really good. With the drink and the food my lunch was about $18, which is on the pricier side, but well worth it. I will definitely be back! read more

The food was fantastic. However, the complementary humus, baba ghanouj, and pita bread made finishing dinner tough. All in all, the combination of delicious food and a friendly server in Hashem made for a wonderful first time experience. We will definitely be back.

The food was also great, I got a dozen oysters that were fresh and briny, my wife and I shared the Parker rolls, and we had sea bass and skirt steak that were each beautifully prepared and not too heavy. Funny enough if I had one note it would be that you couldn't cut the steak with the steak knives... because the steak knives were a little dull and not serrated. BUT we discovered you could easily cut the steak with a butter knife - that's how tender it was. Honestly while the food was great, the people who work here are the real sell.
