    Chicken shawarma bowl
    Raven R.

This place is a cozy place tucked in a plaza in Orange. The staff is friendly and helpful with answering questions. I got a custom bowl with chicken shawarma. Chicken Shawarma Bowl- The chicken is delicious with the perfect amount of seasoning. Rice is fluffy and buttery. The variety of hummus is tasty with a wide range of flavors and spice level. The veggies are fresh and crisp. Yoghurt sauce is creamy. Overall a hearty meal! Will definitely come back!

Found this hidden gem thanks to my new favorite app, Too Good To Go! I went in for my surprise bag and ended up walking out with not one, but TWO meals (because clearly, self-control left the chat). The food was so fresh and flavorful -- the kind that makes you do a little happy dance in your car before you even drive off. And that dragonfruit lemonade? Obsessed. Bright, tangy, and way too pretty not to post. The staff was super sweet, and everything felt made with love. I'm officially adding this spot to my "repeat offender" list. Hummus Way, you've got me hooked -- and yes, I'm already planning my next Too Good To Go

First time at this location. My coworkers and I have been to the one in Santa Ana. This is probably the last time we will dine here since it's not close to our office and we only had to come here to meet a friend. It felt pretty lifeless inside. When we arrived, there was one person eating there and only one person working, and there were six of us so it took a long time to put together our orders. There's a self order kiosk there as well. Maybe they should install a speaker and play some music. Unfortunately, I was not pleased with my chicken bowl. Everything tasted the same with the sauce slathered all over. I didn't enjoy the texture of the chicken and the rice was bland. Flavor was severely lacking. My friend got a piece of baklava for dessert and she was very disappointed. She said it tasted old and she threw it out. The young girl working was nice and she was trying hard, but it was difficult for her to do it all on her own.

    Delicious combination!

Very attentive service and the food was very good. Create Your Own Bowl offered great choice of proteins, rice, greens, spreads, toppings and sauces. The Morrocan Hot Sauce has good flavor and kick. Don't forget to add zatar spices and fried chickpeas. Next time, I'll consider adding the falafel to my order.

First time trying this place and it was a solid experience overall. There was only one person working and she looked pretty busy, so while my online order was ready on time, you may need to wait a bit if you're ordering at the counter. The store itself is pretty small with minimal customer service, but the food was fresh and good with nothing to complain about. Looking forward to trying some of the other dishes next time.

Before I start, just wanted to say that the workers are helpful and the inside was clean! When you walk in, it's set up like a DIY station. First you choose rice or greens, protein, hummus, and toppings as you go down the line. I chose the turmeric and lemon chicken shawarma and added hummus and lemon + artichoke hummus with various toppings. Flavor wise.. some of the flavors fell flat especially with the dry shawarma and garlic sauce. Pita was nice and fluffy at least! This place is popular for a reason but it didn't hit the mark for me.

When we are in the mood for Mediterranean food, we usually order kebab combos from one of two places but we decided to DoorDash something different this time. After seeing some favorable mentions about Hummus Way in other reviews, we decided to give it a try. I wasn't sure what to order at first since there are no kebabs on the menu but instead you create your own bowl, wrap, loaded wedges, or open face pita. There are a ton of options and it was a little overwhelming since I didn't want a huge bowl with 20 things in it, but I didn't want a small bowl with only a few things in it either. I ended up ordering a bowl with white garlic sauce, traditional hummus, tzatziki, zesty feta, rice, tri tip beef shawarma , tabbouleh, and pickled cucumbers. My girlfriend ordered a wrap with traditional tahini, Zhoug falafels, traditional hummus, zesty feta, wheat, crumbled feta, beets, sumac onions, crispy garbanzo croutons, and kalamata olives. We also ordered a side of the crispy fried zucchini with garlic sauce. The restaurant is only about ten minutes away from home and our DoorDash order arrived nice and quick in under 30 minutes. The crispy fried zucchini were really good and the coating had really nice flavor. The pictures of this appetizer show zucchini spears but we were happy when zucchini slices arrived since spears can get very oily and the coating usually falls off easily. The garlic sauce also had a good flavor with little to no spiciness. Unfortunately, my bowl was somewhat disappointing. The pita bread and pickled cucumbers were good and I love basmati rice but this rice was just ok. The tri tip beef shawarma was dry. The traditional hummus was not creamy at all, and had a very firm texture like I've never had before but it tasted ok. I always look forward to trying the tabbouleh at a new place to see if it comes anywhere close to my gold standard tabbouleh at Zenas. This was the most dry tabbouleh I've ever had and it had very little flavor so I only had a few bites. My girlfriend said the wrap was ok but I didn't get any additional details. It is always nice to try new places. Not every place is going to be four or five stars.

Premium combo = entree + $10 Entree + premium drink + masala fries I tried the bowl with mild biryani, malai chicken, green (mild) sauce, and guava mango lassi. The bowl already comes with the raita sauce (a yogurt sauce), so I got the green sauce as my choice of sauce after asking the staff for recommendations. The protein portion was super generous and very well-seasoned with their spice. The green sauce was my favorite and everything in the bowl mixed well together. The whole bowl was delicious and it didn't feel heavy, wasn't greasy. The Kashmiri Chai and the guava mango lassi are the most popular drinks, so I decided to try the guava mango lassi. The flavors blended so well. One wasn't more overpowering than the other, and the sweetness level was perfect for me, also, not too much ice. Masala fries So crispy and well-seasoned!! Could be a little less salty. Gulab jamun cheesecake Also asked for recommendations for their cheesecakes and decided to go with this one. It has the fried donut ball in the middle with syrup. It didn't taste too sweet to me, but I also have higher tolerance for sweets. The center has so much of the cheesecake cheese and it was super soft and fluffy. So delicious! The samosas were also great! Crispy and not too oily. I also love that they use compostable takeout containers, including the lid! The interior looks nice and there are a few seats available. There's outdoor shaded tables and seats too. The only downside is that I wish the outdoor seats were a bit cleaner. There is a free parking garage, just make sure to park in the retail spaces. There was enough parking. The staff members are so helpful and very friendly. Can order with a staff member or using their kiosk. HIGHLY recommend!! Would definitely go back!

It was honestly very sad to see as we had been seeing ads pop up places but with zero customers, not sure how they will continue operating. Also, almost half of their menu was not available at this time. The good: as we were the only customers, all staff were coming by to ask how things were. No crazy talking over people. The bad: The restaurant was fairly clean, but there were no hand towels in the women's bathroom. One of the four plates we received for our table had food on it. I wiped it down with a tissue. There is no tandoor setup at the moment. The menu is way overpriced for the quantity of food being served. Food: we ordered a mango lassi, bun kabob, daga kabob, chicken karahi, garlic naan, plain naan, and a paratha. Mango lassi - it was watered down. Missing real mango flavor and the tartiness of the yogurt. Bun kabob - this was fairly good. The egg with daal patty and onions with the chutney was authentic. It's a little pricey, though, for the size. Daga Kabob - this was the star of our experience. The meat was super tender and melt in your mouth with enough spice. But for $20 a plate, I am expecting a lot more. I would also suggest adding a tamarind or green chutney to complimemt this dish. I also found parts of this dish to be a little cold. I'm not sure why. Chicken karahi (half) - My husband liked this dish, but for me, it had too much of a homely taste. This is the type of karahi I make at home, so it wasn't anything special for me. Also, I didn't expect to be served 5 pieces of leg in one dish. They need to have a variety of peices of chicken. The spice level (we ordered spicy) was good. Naan - okay, so how do you open a restaurant and serve people naan out of a packet. I find this practice to be super irritating. It's not justifiable in any sense. I can go pick up from the local grocery store if I want this experience. Paratha - Again, this was a homestyle paratha. I feel like it was also a store bought vs. Hand-made, but I could be wrong. Overall, I think they need to either decrease their prices or increase their plate sizes. It is their opening weekend, and I wish them the best.

From the moment we arrived, the place had a chill, laid-back atmosphere, while the surrounding area felt clean and well-maintained. It was a nice spot to relax, grab some food, and spend time together without feeling rushed. We decided to try a little bit of everything since it was our first time there. We ordered a large pizza with two different toppings: the Lebanese topping and the Jamaican jerk chicken. Susie was curious about the Carne Asada pizza as well, so we ordered two slices of that to share. We had also heard that their wings were popular, so we ordered a dozen wings with a side of different sauces to get a better idea of what they had to offer. The service was one of the highlights of our visit. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the evening. Despite ordering quite a bit of food, everything came out within about 15-20 minutes, which I thought was pretty impressive. The wait felt fairly short considering the size of our order and the number of different items we requested. The pizzas were definitely my favorite part of the meal. I really enjoyed both the Lebanese and Jamaican jerk chicken toppings because they had a nice balance of savory, sweet, and fresh flavors. The parsley and green onions sprinkled on top added a refreshing element that helped lighten each bite. I also really enjoyed the garlic flavor, which gave the pizza a unique sweetness and depth that you don't always get from a typical pizza. The Jamaican jerk chicken pizza had a noticeable kick. The spice wasn't overwhelming at first, but it definitely built up as I continued eating it. If you enjoy food with some heat and bold seasoning, I think this is one of the toppings worth trying. The Lebanese topping was also very flavorful and offered something different from the usual pizza combinations. The Carne Asada pizza was interesting as well. We only ordered two slices to try, so I didn't get as much of it as the other pizzas, but it was nice being able to sample another one of their more unique options. Having several different toppings available makes this a fun place to visit with a group because everyone can order something different and share. The chicken wings, unfortunately, were probably my least favorite item. They were decent overall, but I found them to be a little on the dry side. The sauces helped add some moisture and flavor, and they were still perfectly edible, but compared with the pizzas, the wings didn't stand out quite as much for me. Overall, I think this is a solid spot if you're looking for something a little different from the typical pizza place. I especially appreciate that they offer unique halal-certified options, which gives you a chance to try flavors and combinations that you may not find at other pizza restaurants. The portions and pricing also seem pretty reasonable, particularly if you're coming with a larger group and want to order several things to share. I would definitely come back and try some of their other specialty pizzas and toppings. The Lebanese and Jamaican jerk chicken pizzas were the standouts for me, and I'd recommend giving those a try if you're looking for something flavorful and different. The wings were just okay, but overall, the friendly service, quick food preparation, reasonable prices, and unique halal options made this a worthwhile visit.
