Petite Prime Rib 8 Ounce

When you're craving some prime rib; there is only one place to come too...Hungry Hunter. From the seasoning crust to the perfectly medium rare serving, it doesn't get any better! I needed a prime rib fix tonight, so I came in and still the same great service and amazing prime rib.

Great Happy Hour prices. Half off Starters, Well drinks, House wine & Domestic beer. Rose & Kate were my very friendly & sweet servers today. Prompt service and pretty smiles, I can't say enough about how fabulous the staff is here! I love that even during Happy Hour sitting at the bar a cloth napkin is a placemat and you are given dinner flatware. It's busy & loud, as you would expect for Happy Hour. The crowd is friendly and relaxed to be at the end of their work day hanging out with friends. I ordered the house Cabernet & the Calamari Fritti. The Calamari had an ancho chili aioli and the nice surprise of fried onion & red peppers on a bed of shaved cabbage. Their Happy Hour offerings are a great way to have a tasty meal with cocktails at a reasonable price. Definitely a premium Happy Hour!

We were on our way up to Northern California and decided to try Hungry Hunter Steakhouse. We had the angus burger, wings and fries and the food was really good.

Service here is really good and the wheel of salad or table side salad bar is a MUST!

Came here recently after seeing their sign. Nostalgia beckons. I remember going to Hungry Hunter with the family when I was much younger. It was good food, food bread and I felt very grown up cutting into my own steak with the giant steak knife. Gone are the wagon wheels as decor these days and it felt much more upscale than what I remember. Wine list was quite respectable. Nothing exactly from the top shelf, but nothing from the bargain bin either. We opted for their "best in town" prime rib and they were flavorful and tender. Their table-side salad made me feel special. All the staff I encountered were all super friendly and very efficient. My water and beverage glasses were never dry.

It's been 30+ years since I was at a Hungry Hunter in the Bay Area. Pass this place over the years and decided to give them a try, as my granddaughter wanted a loaded baked potato. We were seated right away and really dug the steakhouse vibe. Ordered the... well, smoked Old Fashioned. Great presentation and very tasty! Got the early dining prime rib, with a loaded baked potato, fried green beans and spinach salad. While the prime rib could have been warmer, all was great. Server really bowed down to my needy granddaughter with lots of cherries and Shirley Temples. Will be back!

We got a gift card for Christmas. The husband and I finally had a way overdue date night. We walked in on a Saturday evening, pretty busy, and we did not even have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. The girl that sat us was super friendly, our waiter was awesome, and the girl who brought our food was great and funny! I got the chicken breasts with mushroom sauce, baked potato, fried green beans and a salad. The hubs got a steak, onion rings, si gratin potatoes, and their clam chowder. We also tried their stuffed mushrooms for a starter and WOW, they were delicious. We love visiting locally owned businesses and we will be back. Thanks for the great service and food!

The food was excellent and the customer service was fantastic. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. The restaurant was very minimalistic and tastefully decorated. We had the pleasure of having Seth as our server. He was very attentive and often came back to check up on us to see if we needed anything. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, a cup of clam chowder, and a prime rib. Everything was delicious and the prime rib was cooked to a perfect medium rare.

We always dine here for their prime ribs whenever we're in the area. The prime ribs were juicy and tender, didn't come with huge chunks of fat like many other places. It's perfectly cooked to the temperature we asked for. It came with soup or salad plus two sides. We asked for baked potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. Wine options were good too; always ended up picking something from the manager's list. Service had been great when we dined here. Highly recommended if you're a fan of prime ribs - no doubt it's the best in town (not just saying it).

Nice restaurant, would be good for a date. Staff were friendly and service was quick. The food was delicious. My favorite is the prime rib, so tender and flavorful I didn't really touch the horse radish and other dip. The fruity blended cocktail: kiss on the lips (kiss my lips?) was refreshing. The bread was fresh and hot and that honey butter was delicious! It was sweet so I didn't want it before my meal. The kids corndog was fine the fresh grapes were good, the whiskey peppercorn steak was good too. The soup du jour was a minestrone and it was flavorful. The seasonal vegetables were boiled and the zucchini skin was a little bitter. The fried onion strings and green beans were good. Recommended!

We stopped by for lunch after getting gas from Costco. They had just opened, so we were seated right away. The hostess was friendly and the service throughout was great - our server was attentive and kept our waters topped off. My SO and I both ordered from the lunch menu. Prime Rib with salad, mashed potatoes, and au gratin. The sides were delicious - no complaints there! But the Prime Rib was a letdown - tough and lacking flavor. At over $30, we expected better. We ended up taking it home. Nice seating, good for groups, and plenty of parking. We'd come back for the sides and service - but probably skip the Prime Rib next time.

Last year I made a large reservation for about 10 ladies to celebrate someone and on the way to the restaurant they called to confirm the reservation (about 30 minutes before), but I did not hear my phone. When I arrived, a distraught friend told me that they did not have our reservation so I asked what the issue was. The manager told me because I did not confirm, they were not sure they were going to hold the table. I apologized that I had not recieved a call, but asked if we could still have the table (I was there on time and could see the large table with the reservation note on it). The manager begrungenly said they would allow us to still dine with them, but they said they would not seat us until more of our party arrived. I asked if we could wait for our party at the bar, but they said they would not because every seat at the bar was taken. So just a heads up, you cannot stand at the bar, you cannot stand around the restaurant, and they do not have a place to sit and wait for your table, you just have to stand outside (I'm sure it has to do with safety or firecodes, I didn't argue, we waited outside until people at the bar left). Once we were seated, the staff was not friendly. Wondering if we should leave or not, I called a friend who works near the building who frequents this place often on what I should do. He told me to go back inside and that the staff would be nice. When I returned, a new server came to our table with a tray of shots and said they would be taking care of us for the rest of the evening. I figured maybe the manager and that other server was just having a bad day, my friend must have called the restaurant and asked his most trusted server to help us, and enjoyed the rest of our evening. I didn't want to risk it another bad experience, so I haven't returned since. A few months ago during the whole Cesar Chavez news broke out, that friend who frequented the place went with another friend to the Botonist and was talking about the news while they were dining. The manager overheard. Later when my friends were getting ready to leave, the manager started becoming upset with my friends and told my guy friend, "I HOPE SOMEBODY R*PES YOU". Stunned, he asked her to repeat herself and she did. My friends left. The chefs and building are wonderful, but obviously something needs to be done about the management and staff with being professional and treating customers with respect. I've worked in the service industry and understand how stressful it can be, but I have always been able to keep my cool around people who are trying to enjoy a nice meal. Hoping they recieve the help they need as I love to see my community thrive.

Juliette was our fantastic server this evening, friendly and efficient. We started with a couple of escargot appetizers for the table. It comes drenched in garlic butter and topped with Parmesan cheese. The French onion soup was divine. I had the yummy Lemon drop salmon with the house rice pilaf and sautéed fresh vegetables. One of my dining companions had the Ribeye with a loaded baked potato. Another had the Filet with bleu cheese & baked potato and lastly the scrumptious lamb lollipops. Another memorable dining experience. We ended the meal with their famous Malva cake. So moist, rich and delicious. If you've never had it, it's a must try.

There was no host stand, no greeting, and no indication of what we were supposed to do. I eventually asked the bartender about our reservation. He seemed mildly annoyed that I had interrupted whatever invisible task he was doing and told us we'd have to wait for the host. So we waited. And waited. Once seated, we ordered drinks and were served warm bread with butter knives. The problem? There was no butter. Instead, there were candles heating cups of drawn garlic butter that nobody explained. The waiter described it as a powerhouse flavor. Imagine garlic butter LaCroix. Technically present, but only as a rumor. The pacing of service was glacial. Not relaxed. Not upscale. Just slow. The entire evening felt like a social experiment where everyone involved was pretending to operate a fine dining restaurant while waiting to see if customers would notice. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, which were apparently a house favorite. I sincerely hope that's no longer true. The filling was confusing enough, but someone decided to glaze them with a sweet sauce that made the entire dish taste like a dare. We took a few bites and surrendered. Then came the steaks. My fiancée ordered the filet medium rare. It arrived with the texture of warm oatmeal and was drowning beneath balsamic reduction and Gorgonzola. The steak itself was so soft and underdone it resembled a pink marshmallow more than beef. My strip steak arrived covered in gravy. Not a sauce. Gravy. To complete the experience, we both ordered baked potatoes. Because surely nobody can mess up a baked potato. We were informed that bacon and sour cream would cost an additional $2. Nothing says "premium steakhouse" quite like nickel-and-diming toppings for a baked potato. By the end of the meal, we were struggling to identify a single redeeming part of the experience. The service was slow. The food was baffling. The atmosphere felt like everyone--staff and customers alike--was participating in the same awkward experiment. Horse in the Alley desperately wants to be a fine dining destination. Unfortunately, wanting and being are two very different things. ***Our server Samantha was very sweet and even comped the stuffed mushrooms. But this was easily the worst $200 I've ever spent.
