Ice Cream Cafe looks a little kitschy on the outside, but rest assured that everything is homemade and authentic. The ice cream here is unreal! Homemade ice cream really does not compare to the stuff you can buy at the grocery store! They have about 20 flavors of hard ice cream, as well as a few non-dairy options (hard and soft serve). It's nice that they have something for everyone! One of the special / rotating flavors was "dirt bomb," which uses pieces of the dirt bomb cinnamon sugar muffin from Cottage Street Bakery next door. Like any good ice cream shop, the small size is a huge portion! I was in the mood for soft serve, which was so fresh and delicious! I have gotten really picky about soft serve since coming here because it was seriously so memorable! I love that they serve espresso as well as ice cream. The iced latte was pretty good! This ice cream shop is AMAZING! I went my first day of vacation and got half PB cup and half cookie dough ice cream with PB cups on top. They were soooo delicious that I went back the next day, and again on my last day so I could but one of their cute t-shirts! The ice cream from here was genuinely the best hard serve I've ever had!! The peanut butter cup ice cream was my favorite. It had a peanut butter base with large chunks of PB cups (not the small and bland Reece's cups most ice cream places use..). I love this place so much and will definitely return next time I am down the Cape! read more

Was very average. It took a bit too long to get served although to their credit, I believe there was only two staff working at the time but should be more workers than just two at a time though which will result in much more efficiency. I got a small vanilla milkshake which was good. I also got it served with a paper straw which is not my personal favorite because they get torn apart when drinking through it. I would go back there again although it would probably not be my first choice. read more

In desperate need of caffeine, we stopped at this ice cream and espresso bar on the way to Provincetown. It's definitely a cute shop with a very "Cape-y" ambiance but I found the ice cream itself to be lacking. The peppermint stick ice cream was pretty mediocre - artificial and cloyingly sweet, although my friend's frozen cappuccino creation was very good. Overall, it's a decent spot to pick up some on-the-road refreshment but I wouldn't drive out of the way for it. read more

Something for everyone! Vegan ice cream (and no, not just sorbet)- check. Soy-free vegan ice cream (coconut milk based)- check. Gluten-free and nut-free sugar or wafer cones- double check. Make you're own soft serve flavor with fresh fruit- why not? The cocoamint chip is a very powerful mint ice cream with cocoa powder instead of food coloring. If you love mint, this is for you. The black raspberry, my favorite classic flavor, it exactly what I was looking for. The kids working the counter cheerfully provide samples and explanations of flavors and ingredients; they know their stuff. I'm glad they offer a kiddie size (1 scoop) and put 2 flavors in the 1.5 scoop small (but it's really 2 scoops because how does one call a scoop half?). There's plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy whatever ice cream/milkshake floats your boat. Also, there are cookies from the little shop next door used to make ice cream sandwiches. read more

The chocolate fudge brownie & peanut butter cup with flavorful and gone in seconds. The kids had soft serve, she had vanilla, which was tasty but his chocolate was the richest I had every tasted! While on vacation, we drove past the place a couple of times on the way to kayaking and I thought why not give it a shot. I got salty caramel and toasted coconut - the vegan options, just to see if it's as good as they say it is. It was just ok. Nothing special. One of the best ice cream shops on the Cape! There is no indoor seating and only a few tables outside, but the ice cream is so good that it's worth standing around when it's busy. It's all homemade! Normally I'm a coffee-heath bar girl, but there wasn't enough heath the first time I tried it here, so I veered off my normal ice cream path and tried peanut butter. This was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Turns out, peanut butter flavor actually is peanut butter ice cream with entire peanut butter cups in it. To be honest, I've never ordered another flavor for myself because it's THAT good. But I have bought a million pints and quarts of different flavors to bring home for guests and family. They are all fabulous. I don't think you can really go wrong. The coffee-heath is okay, but definitely my least favorite of all that I've tried. Not impressed at all. The ice cream was milky, not creamy. But it is open later than most other ice cream places in the area, so we tried it. Friendly staff, with a confusing menu in a crowded storefront. A lot of flavors, but not many dynamic choices like other places. Very basic options. My dish had dry brownie pieces in it, not fudgey, moist ones. My daughter and husband were also not impressed. I guess the draw is the vegan options and lactose-free options? We're not vegans and I use Lactaid pills, we're more foodies so we want quality ice cream when we go out, so this isn't the place for us. read more

This would be a five star review based on the quality of the ice cream--it's exceptionally delicious--smooth, creamy and flavorful. We went once last summer and our order was correct. We went twice this summer and both times the order was made wrong. We went a week ago and ordered a kid-size coffee heath bar and a medium coffee heath bar, each with hot fudge. We were both given plain coffee ice cream with hot fudge. The hot fudge was the best I have ever had and the ice cream was very good, but not the flavor we ordered. We went again two days ago. We ordered a medium cake batter with hot fudge, a kid's maple walnut with hot fudge, and a large pistachio with butterscotch. I gave the order very slowly to ensure the young man could get it written down correctly, and repeated the whole order back to him at the end. Two out of our three items came out wrong. The medium cake batter with hot fudge came out as a kiddie without hot fudge. The kid's maple walnut with hot fudge came out as a medium, and the large pistachio with butterscotch came out correctly. I'm not sure what we were charged for, and we tipped well because we always do. The owners need to determine where the system is breaking down and get it corrected. The ice cream is really good, but my server "Aidan" as the other servers called him made me extremely uncomfortable and was staring at my cleavage the entire transaction. This place was very good and it is a solid choice for some late night ice cream. I personally preferred the ice cream at the nearby Sundae School to the stuff served here but this place has a really vibrant and fun atmosphere so I will bump it up to 4. It was absolutely hopping when we showed up at like 10:30 pm and got chocolate brownie, chocolate with chocolate chip, and vanilla/caramel scoops. To be honest the ice cream here is average or slightly below average. The chocolate is kind of flat and bland and the vanilla could have been a little less sweet and a bit creamier, although the caramel in it was very good. But this place is in a big, awesome wooded lot with tons of seating and a big deck to chill on while you eat and although there were a lot of people the line still moved quickly. You can tell it is a place locals really like. TLDR: If you are with kids or something definitely come here because this place has a great atmosphere, ample seating, and the line moves quickly.
