This place was very good and it is a solid choice for some late night ice cream. I personally preferred the ice cream at the nearby Sundae School to the stuff served here but this place has a really vibrant and fun atmosphere so I will bump it up to 4. It was absolutely hopping when we showed up at like 10:30 pm and got chocolate brownie, chocolate with chocolate chip, and vanilla/caramel scoops. To be honest the ice cream here is average or slightly below average. The chocolate is kind of flat and bland and the vanilla could have been a little less sweet and a bit creamier, although the caramel in it was very good. But this place is in a big, awesome wooded lot with tons of seating and a big deck to chill on while you eat and although there were a lot of people the line still moved quickly. You can tell it is a place locals really like. TLDR: If you are with kids or something definitely come here because this place has a great atmosphere, ample seating, and the line moves quickly. The ice cream is really good, but my server "Aidan" as the other servers called him made me extremely uncomfortable and was staring at my cleavage the entire transaction. He was unfriendly and rude and didn't acknowledge everyone in my party. I would not come again simply because there's more places nearby with nicer servers. read more

This has become my family's go-to ice cream shop on the Cape when we are in the mood. There are tons of flavors to choose from and they are homemade and delicious. I can speak for the almond joy, coconut, cookie dough and a few of their chocolate flavors. I've also shared the brownie sundae ($5.95) with my boyfriend and it was the perfect amount for both of us. The kiddie cup size was almost insulting for 3.60 plus tax. I wish I got a picture. I ordered snickers and yes, there were a lot of choices for flavors, soft serve and toppings, and there were options for gluten free/dairy free (which is awesome as my kids themselves are lactose intolerant), but the stress of ordering was a mess.The flavor I got was just okay, and small. The other person I was with got peach and said theirs didn't have a distinctive flavor either. My brother and I each save up an ice cream budget from our minimum wage jobs to spend at Ice Cream Cafe during our two weeks on the Cape. (It's not overpriced. It's just really good.) I found this place two years ago when I was sick of the only nondairy option being sorbet, and I've loved it ever since. The vegan soft serve is delightful, and there's a solid rotation of vegan hard serve flavors, plus a plethora of toppings. Our dairy-loving mother finds plenty to enjoy. I was pretty bummed because I came to get a non-dairy blizzard after hearing this was some of the best non-dairy on the cape. When I ordered one they asked if I had a dairy allergy because they use the same machine for the dairy and non dairy blizzards and don't clean it in between? While I appreciate that there is a non-dairy option (thank you! I still got a cone) it's a bit disheartening to see something so unique and exciting for those of us with allergies be advertised as non-dairy when it's actually not, since they re-use the blizzard wand without cleaning it between orders. Best I've ever tasted served by the nicest kids (and the owner!) on the Cape. If you prefer a rich, heavily creamed come then this is the place. Amazing place!!! I wish I lived closer. My child has a rare condition in which she can not break down proteins in food. This eliminates traditional ice cream from her diet. She can have sherbet or sorbet. After spending several days on the cape and having little to no options for her at the various ice cream shops, we finally came here. For someone following a vegan diet like my daughter this place is heaven. They had vegan soft serve in vanilla, chocolate, and twist. They also had vegan hard ice cream in several flavors. They had sherbet and sorbets as well. To make the experience even better, they offered gluten free cones. The smile on my daughter's face was priceless.
