I love this place. Their food is so fresh and flavorful. It's usually a bit of a wait if you order in person, but that's because everything seems to be made to order. If you order ahead it's always ready when I get there! Great customer service too. The yakisoba, beef teriyaki and gyoza are all good, but my favorite is the chicken teriyaki. The beef yakisoba was yummy. Good portion and not dry. I don't know why they serve rice with noodles. Too much carbs but not going to take a star away for it. It's just a weird thing. The chicken bento was also pretty good. I could do without the extra sweet sauce on the chicken. Not their fault either I'll just ask for it without that next time. The shrimp on the tempura is panko breaded while the veggies were normal tempura batter. Also weird but not bad. Overall it was tasty with good portions. This is my (and my family's) favourite Teriyaki place in the North Seattle/Shoreline area! Friendly owners and staff. With COVID, you can still order your food ahead and pick it up. Generous portions at very reasonable prices. I no longer live in the area, but always like to order their food whenever I'm in town. My favourite is the gyoza plate, but the chicken teriyaki if quite good too. The katsu is my dad's favourite. read more

During the plus ten era (meal orders costing more than ten), It's signature piece retains ultra competitive prices below the annoyance point. It's place in the teriyaki curve is above the median score ahead of the first standard deviation. If it continues its trend of success post proximity construction with insignificant marginal price changes, then everyone will be iching and scratching and it'll be a show where the rice and chicken fans will swarm to pay for secure meals. read more

For a first timer it was tasty. Yakisoba has perfect balance of the choice of protein, vegetables and noodles. Never one sided which can be good or bad for some people. Came with a nice portion of rice, and a salad which is packaged in its own box which I like! They don't force the salad in the box with the main entree which some places do. Will defensively come back again to try other things on the menu. Oh and FYI their yakisoba has mushrooms! If you are a mushroom hater keep that in mind and ask to have it removed. read more

I had the tofu teriyaki. It was tasty and filling, it could have used more sauce though. The price was great. The one thing that was frustrating was that I asked if the tofu bento box could be made with cucumber rolls instead of California rolls since I don't eat seafood and they said no. That doesn't make sense to me since the price for both rolls are the same. Disappointing when a restaurant can't be a bit accommodating for dietary restrictions when there is no cost to them. read more

HUGE take-out portions. I'm a sucker for a good deal and love getting the most bang to my buck. The whole take out box is filled with rice and three rows of chicken, decent quality. The spicy chicken is really just teriyaki chicken with an ample amount of chili garlic sauce on top, which I like so I don't mind. Good prices, free hot green tea inside, and nice service. Pretty random little place, but the spicy chicken I had was decent. Too much dressing on the little salad, but if I stop by again, I will just ask for less/on the side. The son was there and talking to someone on the phone about taking over the water, power, etc...since his parents were new owners - so maybe things will change for better or worse? Would like to try a bento another time, but spicy chix sounded good today since it was a bit chilly out. I was there before noon & was served promptly. More people started showing up after 12 noon & seemed to be waiting longer for their food. I was in the neighborhood for a work appointment & drove around a bit looking for options. This seemed to be the least sketchy looking & reasonably priced. Basically satisfied. Hmm...after looking around at some reviews, maybe I should have checked out Suni's up the street. Great food been ordering since they opened in 2000 or 2001 idk it's been long long time i in fact got food here the first day they opened I was in 5th or 6th grade I've loved there teriyaki the most out of any other restaurant in wa state the only thing that sucks is they definitely are at the higher end price wise just ordering for myself I get extra chicken and rice subbed for my salad and 4-6 extra sauces plus a drink and I used to get Spicy tuna roll when they had a sushi chef but now they no longer make multiple types of sushi u can just get a California roll which is still good but man do I miss there house made sushi especially the spicy tuna roll by far my favorite for sushi anyways my order is usually around 18-25 dollars depending if I get chicken or beef with extra meat or do a combo chicken n beef with extra beef or chicken or rarely I may ask for katsu to have a a super combo as I like to say lol anyways can't go wrong with ichibento there the best and there sauce is really really good! read more

I recently moved to North City and wanted to find a new sushi place. I ate at the restaurant with a friend. We both thought it tasted like decent, fresh sushi. Nothing super amazing fantastico about it, but nothing bad about it either. Always nice to have a decent sushi place around. I saw a lot of people come in and make orders as well as come in to pick up orders. They have a lot of customers, so that's always a good sign! The only reason I'm not excited and bouncing to go back is that I just felt their restaurant was beaten down. The booth I sat in looked like it had looked nice 20 years ago, but today has rips and we both sunk waaaaaay down into the deflated seats. With a few nicer chairs and tables, some clean accessories (mirros? curtains?), and maybe some nicer menus, I'd be excited to bring a friend here. Love chicken and shrimp fried rice. It's one of the very few places that even just plain fried rice taste good!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I've been coming here for YEARS (probably a decade +). HUGE portions for great prices. Usually $8 tofu yakisoba is three meals. Boyfriend usually gets the bento which is 2 meals for $10. Their teriyaki sauce is to die for. Small interior with some fading seating but it leads to a little bit of charm :) read more

The food is mediocre. It's not any different from what you'd get from most teriyaki places. I have only been here probably twice. I'd say there are better ones but if you're in the area, you could stop by here and grab something. But I kind of think it's a bit dirty also the rating says it's just okay or good the last time I came in. And which would mean they do not store their meats properly as I have worked at a teriyaki shop before. So I know what they look for when the food services come. read more

[Of course, appetite is relative: my 30-something son will devour two dinners in one sitting.] There's always WAY MORE MEAT than rice (some restaurants have really small amounts of meat and a lot of rice). Most meals come with a FRESH salad (fresh, crisp lettuce) with a nice honey/mustard dressing. I usually get take-out, but occasionally I've dined-in and it's always a nice, peaceful experience. Food: Go for the katsu - it's the best and the portion sizes are huge. The chicken teriyaki is average, comes with iceberg lettuce salad with sweet mayo dressing. The beef teriyaki is a little tough. The yakisoba has a good mix of meat and veggies and has good flavor. My son likes the squeeze bottles of teriyaki sauce. California rolls are OK, not as good as most sushi places, but better than Costco. Recommendation: Great for a quick cheap bite, especially when uninspired to cook at home. read more

I wanted a new place for teriyaki. A good yelp rating and close proximity to my home made Ichi Bento a good place to try. I hadn't seen the place before so I was looking for it as I drove. I was going slowly and it was a good thing as their sign wasn't lit. I momentarily thought they were closed. As I pulled into the lot, I saw the open sign. There was plenty of parking when arrived. The interior was charmingly out of date. The dining room was about 80% full. The lady taking orders thanked me for waiting although the wait in line wasn't bad. I was impressed. I ordered chicken and gyoza combo to go. The cost was typical for teriyaki (affordable). I sat down to wait. I noticed the bulletin board next to the door so I got up to check it out. Lots of business cards. The only thing that struck me was a big sign for an event that occurred 7 months prior. No harm but it's a pet peeve of mine to have outdated stuff posted. I sat back down but I didn't have to wait long. The food was ready quickly. The parking lot was full when I left so I guess I beat the rush. Arriving home, I was looking forward to eating. The salad was in a separate container which I really liked. Most teriyaki restaurants put the salad in the same container which makes the salad warm. An additionally benefit, the salad dressing was in a smaller container so I was in control of the amount I used. The dressing was tasty, too! The gyozas were good. A different flavor than I am used to eating but yummy. The rice was acceptable and cooked properly. The teriyaki sauce was a little weird. It had separated so first liquid poured out and then a lump of thick teriyaki pudding fell out. It was off putting but I smeared it around and hoped for the best. The teriyaki sauce was fine but a different flavor than I'm accustomed to eating but good. Chicken was moist and tasty. The portion was generous. I wasn't sure if I wanted to give the place 3 or 4 stars. I guess it really is a 3.5 in my book and so I rounded up. read more

I went here today for the first time just trying to find a good consistent teriyaki place close to my place. It was mediocre. I got the chicken & Katsu combo. The salad was a little wilted and very small. There was much more Katsu then teriyaki by half. Which usually is not a problem but the Katsu had a different after taste like they use something different then other places I have been. It was all just kinda blah nothing special. I admittedly only tried this and maybe they have a real gem on the menu like the spicy chicken, it seems that is what most of the pictures and reviews are. I will most likely try this place again it is really close to Safeway and the post office. read more

Its not your fancy sushi bar, and maybe thats why the negative reviews, but they're food is simple and very good. If youre looking fancy sushi, throw your money away somewhere else, but for the price, this place is absolutely great! PS...These are shy, hard working people. While the outside is unassuming, the inside is fully of tasty food and huge portions! Our favorites were the chicken teriyaki, Mongolian beef and gyoza platter. We ordered way too much, but the good news is we'll have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
