This Asian buffet looked great on the website, even knowing that , the restaurant had a very low rating on yelp, I took a chance and went for lunch, I arrived at about 2:20 pm and the hostess told me that lunch was until 3:30 pm right, wrong!, as soon as I started looking at the buffet food islands , noticed that there was barely any food on the trays, the sushi bar had a lot of empty trays, I asked the hostess about the lack of food and she told me that food was coming out( so, they were replenishing the food right!), wrong again, I sat down and waited for them to start putting some food out, then went about the islands and started selecting my meals, went back to the sushi bar and the guy just gave me a nasty actitud just by standing while he started to make the sushi, at this point I only spoke with the hostess and started to think as of why would somebody would be upset because a patron was just waiting watching him making sushi, anyway the guy told me that I have to wait about 15 minutes for the sushi, I went to my table and started eating the little I gathered, on the second round, I noticed that they started to replenish the islands and I went and gathered a second plate, as soon as I got back to the table the waitress told me that I was getting dinner time food, I liked at my phone and so that it wasn't even 3:00 pm, I asked her what was the dinner time?, she replied 3:30pm and then I asked her why would they setting dinner time food 30 minutes early?, she gave me no answer and I can now see it clear, they are running a scam because the most of the customers or patrons are tourists and really don't pay attention to the time they come into a place , and then get charge for dinner prices when they go to have lunch! The food was really really cold, they did not have gloves for the customers to use while serving themselves, the employees were not using gloves either, one of them cleaned the table, touched the utensils with bare hands, when I asked for another set of utensils the employee got frustrated and gave me another fork... she also did not sanitized her hand to touch the fork she would give me. When I complained about how cold the food was they looked angry (I did get a 10% discount) but still, horrible service! I don't know what happened, the place used to be good. This was a terrible, horrible restaurant, the food was horrible and soggy and old and there was a ROACH that crawled out of a hole in my seat and the waiter said that those types of things happen all the time, their chicken is so pale it looks like tofu, a friend of ours got food poisoning there, and the back of the restaurant smells like urine and sewage and there was someone with an apron on who was blowing their nose...I am very disgusted and highly displeased with the terrible restaurant! NO STARS FOR YOU ICHIBAN BUFFET! When we arrived at Ichiban Buffet on International Drive this evening, before we were seated, my husband used the men's room. One of the cooks came out of the stall and proceeded toward the door without washing his hands. My husband asked him, "aren't you going to wash your hands?" and the cook responded "no! " He then walked to the kitchen and my husband followed behind him. When they arrived at the kitchen, he told the cook in front of his co-workers to go wash his hands and the cook refused! Needless to say, my family and I lost our appetite, so we promptly left the premises. That filthy-mc-nasty cook just caused his employers to "flush money down the toilet" for real. Ewwwww! read more

It did feel alittle warm the place was really clean the restroom was also clean and well maintained. The manager dial was very attentive. There was alot of people making sure that your drinks were kept full didn't matter if it was your table . This would be my second time coming to a restaurant like this so I'm comparing my experience with benejana my experience was much better so don't know if that is why I didn't give a 5 star the experience there was better but it could be that maybe it was my fisrst time to a place like that so 'maybe the excitement was the same . Was quoted 45 min wait maybe we waited 15 min . It is valet only don't know why but it is free but you feel compelled to tip the valet so that was a turn off to the place maybe . So have cash not only for that but have something for the cook as they are the real reason you go there the tip you put on the card goes to the server staff and they split it with cook which I would say good if it is an even split don't get me wrong I believe the cook deserves the bigger amount if it is by a percentage but over all not a bad experience would recommend this place to anyone you'll feel spending the money for this experience read more

If I could honestly leave 0 stars I would. I really wanted some good Chinese food and I tend to love buffets however this place had barely any actual Chinese food options. I've never been to a buffet and was this disappointed the entire time. The best thing they had to offer was their fruit punch which is something you of course can not mess up. I will not be returning and I wish I could get my money back. Lastly, masks were not enforced , many people were walking around without any mask protection on and I saw someone grab food with their hand which is utterly disgusting ! My party was staying at a resort in Kissimmee on vacation, and this place was listed on an Expedia "Eat and Play Card" that we received which gave discounts for local restaurants. We were sold on just the name alone: "Ichiban" and "buffet"... After checking that this place had ~3.5 stars, we figured it was a bargain for around 10 bucks. We got to this place on a Thursday night (Feb. 23rd) around 8:20 pm. ----- Pros: The place was pretty busy, and it seemed pretty well-taken care of for the price. The food was pretty good, and sushi seemed okay. Chinese was good. They had random American foods like cheese pizza and fries, which isn't a bad idea. The food seemed thoroughly cooked, and I don't remember eating anything that I didn't like. They had good dessert options including a variety of fruits, which was nice. They had a pretty attentive staff that was curteous and hospitable. ----- Cons: *** I noticed towards the end that the plates were NOT cleaned well. They were warm and wet from being cleaned, but still had some food matter on some of the plates. lf I noticed this earlier, I would've wiped them with napkins before placing any food on them. It kind of freaked me out a little bit. *** I kept hearing from my friends how good the crab rangoons were, but everytime I walked to the station, it was empty. It was also close to closing time, so they may have stopped filling it - I'll give this a pass! ----- Overall, this place felt like an amazing bargain! Sure - compared to a more upscale, $30, 4.5-star sushi buffet in Atlanta that I love, the quality was significantly lower, the selection not as lage, and the sushi not as fresh. I usually grab the fried calamari and fried crab legs..pair it up with lemon and it's the best. The lunch buffet is OK. It is not Spice Market (Las Vegas). It isn't like the Main Street Station (Las Vegas/Fremont area) and it can't be compared to the Lido (Cunard Line) either. The grade would be lower than three stars if I really made a comparison with those but... Ichiban is perfectly OK when judged in the proper context - a cheap all-you-can-eat buffet for $7.99. There are a couple of good things such as OK mussels, stuffed oysters and mushrooms paired with an OK selection of hot items, including a special counter for the deep-fried ones. The grill station is nice but beware - they tend to put a lot of soy sauce, which tend to kill the taste of the meat - ask them to just grill it without this addition and it is OK, though. The sushi selection is good, especially for the price and the dessert station with different ice cream flavors and fruits are really good, actually. There are buffets in the $20+ range that provide less ice cream options than Ichiban. If I would compare it with such a buffet as the Spice Market, then the quality and taste difference is noticeable as well as the selection, which is far bigger and also include fresh fruit, cheese and so on in the case of the latter - those things make a lot of a difference in this restaurant category. Customers looking for a 'premium buffet' or expect something similar to those will be disappointed. If I had expected anything like the Spice Market, I would also consider Ichiban to be a major letdown. What you get at Ichiban Buffet is an OK lunch in an OK setting to a price that is approximately the same as a Subway Club footlong at the nearest Subway. It can be recommended from this perspective. If the customer is expecting a more upscale establishment with a nice interior, high quality ingredients and things such as fresh fruit, salmon/gravlax, different types of ham, a cheese section, roast beef from a carver and so on - they will be in for a major disappointment. One important point is that Ichiban is 'Oilyban' - they use a LOT of oil in their dishes and it isn't a particularly good thing from a quality perspective and I could feel some effects of it in my stomach. Those who want to avoid oily food shouldn't come here, that's for sure. Go here with the expectation of an $7-9 level buffet because this is what you get. If you are into ice cream - it is actually better than that price (compare with the cost of three scoops in different 'regular' ice cream parlors, i.e. NOT Ben & Jerry's or things like that). My parents love chinese buffets. This one is solid with salt and pepper shrimp, crawfish, and black bean clams. I like the broccoli and beef best here and they also serve a variety of sushi. The food is always fresh coming out and most important the food is not too salty. Sunday brunch is $9.99 and u can use the 10 percent which is a good deal. They change out their food every 4 hours so at least things are rotated decently and not left out forever. No stale food, the raw oysters were good, I definitely recommend hitting up the cocktail sauce, that was the best I've had so far! (I put it over the oysters with some lemon) Sushi was sub-par, great selection but most are mini bite sized. Hibachi grill is recommend for a more fresh savory dish. This is probably the worst buffet I've ever been to. Everything was fine when we walked in everything looked presentable and the lady at the front desk greeted us. But, our waiter insisted we get soda instead of water like we asked and when we served our food it was all old, crusty, and had no flavor. The restrooms were NASTY, and definitely not sanitary! The worst part was that when it was time to pay the waiter forced us to give her more tips than we already gave her and stood there until we gave her more money. We were sat next to the sushi/hibachi area...the sushi options weren't fresh & were all pretty much the same type of roll with only one small variation. Also...it didn't seem like clean or sterile. The potstickers were dried out and hard, and after asking if there were any more, new ones were brought out but they seemed over cooked. So not exactly horrible but not incredibly high quality. Ichiban Buffet is a very inexpensive Chinese buffet and as such my expectations were suitably set when we planned to go here. My daughters love a Chinese buffet so we have plenty of reference points for comparison. There is a large choice of seafood and meat dishes. There was just one noodle dish, one (fried) rice option and one veggie option (green beans). So far so good. The quality of the food however is very poor. If you've ever had Chinese food from a hot food bar at Safeway (or similar) then you've already had tastier, better quality Chinese food than the food served here. I found the cooked food inedible and ate very little. The made to order Hibachi grill is a slight improvement. If you do choose to come here despite the reviews and your better judgement, then I'd recommend the chicken as the steak was very tough and to be perfectly honest I wouldn't trust the shrimp not to give me diarrhoea. Please pay attention to what you are ordering here. At the start of the queue there is menu with each item numbered, and instruction to tell the chef which item number you want. When you get to the front of the queue the menu is displayed again (on an extremely dirty/grease covered laminate that looks like it hasn't been cleaned this millennium ); however the item numbers have miraculously changed. Steak Hibachi which was number 6 at the start of the queue is now number 3, with number 6 now being chicken and shrimp. Some attention to detail is required here. If you want decent quality, cheap Chinese food head to Panda Express. Compared to Ichiban Panda Express is a five star experience. It might not be 'all you can eat' but at least it is vaguely edible. I didn't enjoy Ichiban. We were starving by the time we found this buffet so we just decided to go in and try it. The food is average and most of the trays were just drenched in oil which made me feel sick for the rest of the day. The sushi was alright, it was average like any other normal asian buffet. There aren't that many options if you're vegetarian, it's mostly just meat dishes. I also couldn't find any rice or noodles which was strange. The did sign my point card/their bigness card just because it's not the same location but same franchise.
